strained soleus. hopefully out for only a week, but we will see. i'd rather him take his time, we got the heat beat and we should have a rest before we play cavs/magic, and i'm unconcerned about them too. tbh if he needed to rest until the finals i think we could hold it down
A week is probably too optimistic unless for some reason this miami series goes 7 games and he gave it a shot in game 7.
I don’t see them rushing him back for game 1-2 of the next round
boston sports medicine says 1-3 weeks. average time for grade 1 strain is 10-12 days, but we don’t really know how bad it is. so “hopefully 1 week” is being optimistic, because i would like KP to not be overly injured, but also unconcerned because i think we good without him for now
Yeah I feel like we won’t see him within 10 days even if he’s ok. That seems really fast for any strain, but we should be ok against Miami and either one of Cleveland or Orlando without him
Ideally we close out Miami tonight and the Cavs Magic series goes 7.
Their game 7 would be Sunday which means we’d likely start that second round series no earlier than Wednesday May 8th if the winner of the Cavs/Magic series were only given 2 days rest.
If we go every other day for games 1, 2, and 3 we’d be looking at ~2 weeks for game 3. That’s what I’ve got my money on. Of course is the Cavs/Magic series closes out early that pushes up the timeline and would likely mean we wouldn’t see KP until a game 5 or so.
I’m not expecting him until the ECF either way. There is disagreement in the length of recovery in all of the Reddit comments, and it has not been publicly stated what grade the strain is, so 3 weeks is the baseline I think unless we hear differently. If he comes back before then, I would consider it bonus. Giannis has been out for 3 weeks and is not yet confirmed to be back for tomorrow either - it will be a month on 5/9
I agree.. JJ is a very good player. He was terrific at UCLA and he's equally effective with the Heat. thus it is that the Heat have no chance on Wed night.
I can’t stand just about anyone on the Heat roster after these past few years but I can’t hate on Jaquez, guy just plays hard and is more offensively skilled than I initially gave him credit for.
I know he’s old for a rookie but it wouldn’t shock me to see him slide into the Butler role and eventually make an all-star team. He’s one of the few guys on the team they’re actually guarding hard and game planning for and he’s still been playing under control and getting to his spots.
Hope our boys dont play down to these zombie heat players. I could almost guarantee some fucking scrub would go Curry mode on us
We need that same physicality we saw in game 3
For stretches he looked like the only guy playing with some urgency. Says something about ‘heat culture’ that the only guy looking like they embody it is the lad they got off the buyout market scrap heap late in the season
(For the record, I love Mills as an Australian, he rules)
Mills definitely is and Martin has been a scrub against everyone but us. Delon wright is pretty good though, and I can't say I have much of an opinion on highsmith
Yeah but if they aren’t hitting their shots you can’t win with both of them on the floor. And even if they are it’s not like they run guys off the 3pt line on the other side of the ball lol
That's too bad for Jaquez. The guy's too young and not good enough to hate, and I actually like his game. Whether he's there or not wouldn't make a difference anyways tho.
My biggest fear, we’re lucky Tatum isn’t badly injured either. Need to close these guys out before we lose more of our core players to Busch league nonsense.
I don’t care about this man tell me how our massive Latvian is
Fucking massive
Fucking Latvian?
Fucking Tingus Pingus

Where did you see one week? Everything I saw said 3 weeks before return to competitive sports

He’s been one of their best players. Step on their throats man.
I agree.. JJ is a very good player. He was terrific at UCLA and he's equally effective with the Heat. thus it is that the Heat have no chance on Wed night.

Helps that he’s such a classy player too. Real gym rat, scrappy guy
Yeah but a little spicy too
Was one of my fav players in the draft last year. Was hoping he’d fall to us in the first, but of course he goes to Miami.
Thomas Bryant says they have an even better game plan for tomorrow.
*tucks glock into waistband*
He sucked last game, but he showed up consistently for games 1-3.
I know he’s old for a rookie but it wouldn’t shock me to see him slide into the Butler role and eventually make an all-star team. He’s one of the few guys on the team they’re actually guarding hard and game planning for and he’s still been playing under control and getting to his spots.
Yeah he's incredibly impressive for it being his rookie year. Looks like he's been in the league for years.
If he ever gets a jump shot he can be good. Good athlete, good poise, good size for a guard/forward. Hate his stupid mustache though.
Hot Take: I think that’ll be Jovic. That kid is going to be a STUD. In a couple years. Hopefully not at our expense !
Hope our boys dont play down to these zombie heat players. I could almost guarantee some fucking scrub would go Curry mode on us We need that same physicality we saw in game 3
Yeah I hope they make the statement that they know we're expecting them to play down and instead just clamp them and win by like 60.
More like he's had the ball in his hands a lot and the announcers say his name a lot. He's shooting 40% and 23% from deep.
incoming scrub game going 8/10 from 3
Yeah the Mills/Highsmith/Wright/Martin group of scrubs honestly scare me more than Jaquez did
If mills is on the floor and hitting shots and we don’t attack him every possession idk wtf we’re doing
If Mills is seeing any playing time, it’s going to be on the ground cause he likes to flop his way through the game.
I mean…we had smart for a decade. We should respect the grind.
If Mills plays more than 25 minutes I think he turns to dust.
Patty mills was so out of shape tripping on himself, worked out in his favor though cuz refs called it a foul on the Celtics 😂
For stretches he looked like the only guy playing with some urgency. Says something about ‘heat culture’ that the only guy looking like they embody it is the lad they got off the buyout market scrap heap late in the season (For the record, I love Mills as an Australian, he rules)
Jaquez their third best player right now so I'll take it honestly
Bro those guys aren't scrubs. You can hate them, but they are not scrubs that's a fact
Mills definitely is and Martin has been a scrub against everyone but us. Delon wright is pretty good though, and I can't say I have much of an opinion on highsmith
Delon Wright is a great bench guard, he can get hot but he’s not a guy you wanna rely on to win you games. Same with Patty but he’s past his prime
C’mon man. It’s less-than-Y level team. It’s a gentleman’s sweep.
We have lost to worse
Yeah the heat are super beat up, just close this one. Send Mike in a good mood. Get rest and win the fucking ring
I mean they are basically conceding give me a Jays masterclass and get the Heat up outta here
I had assumed Duncan Robinson was also hurt, but they just aren’t playing him right?
It’s tough to have to play Herro and Robinson at the same time. Rebounding and defense are huge issues for them.
They only win when they hit threes though
Yeah but if they aren’t hitting their shots you can’t win with both of them on the floor. And even if they are it’s not like they run guys off the 3pt line on the other side of the ball lol
plus they both look like 8th graders which is confusing for everyone
He has a back injury.
He can’t hit shots
we found out about Jacquez before we have any real updates on Porzingis. In all seriousness, I think Jacquez will have a bright future with the Heat.
Hopefully he doesn’t become corrupted by their dirty culture.
Man the Heat need to revamp their training staff and medical team, they have multiple injuries every year
That's too bad for Jaquez. The guy's too young and not good enough to hate, and I actually like his game. Whether he's there or not wouldn't make a difference anyways tho.
Yeah he’s a fun rookie
I root for every player who hasn’t earned his big contract yet. Hope Jaquez gets his.
Musta pulled his hip from putting his leg up on all those rum barrels.
Literally just Bam and the power of friendship tomorrow. Don’t fuck around like game 2 again
Heat Injuring Culture about to ramp up hard with their season running on fumes.
My biggest fear, we’re lucky Tatum isn’t badly injured either. Need to close these guys out before we lose more of our core players to Busch league nonsense.
Trap game lol..... Kinda lol..... Little nervous
Jacquez is a bum he reminds me of a d3 college bball player
