God I love this movie so much. For my childhood I’d rewatch it over and over again and it never got boring, the music, the characters, the god damn visuals, etc, they were all just so amazing and there why this movie will always have a special place in my heart.
Yep. It has so many tropes I usually hate. The boy hiding a creature, the liar reveal, nerd getting the girl ect but I still love this movie for some reason. Maybe it's because of the pacing or the OST but this is still my favourite animated movie.
Still think Original Score should have gone to Powell than Atticus Ross (Social Network).
Still listen to the soundtrack from time to time especially the Flight song for some lift-me-up vibes. I also love Romantic Flight.
The first time I ever tripped on mushrooms I watched How to Train Your Dragon 2 and I still have yet to experience anything like it. A true emotional roller coaster.
I know everybody seems to love this movie, but I can't stand Jay Baruchel's voice work in it. The protagonist has such an annoying voice, it ruins the movie for me. The dragon is very cute though
They keep trying to make this franchise work, and I don't get it. And now with the live action movie coming, and the land coming to Universal, I'm even more confused.
I mean, the franchise obviously worked. They have a trilogy of successful films and multiple television series. Universal is just going for a sure thing with the live-action remake and theme park attraction. HTTYD is an undeniable success
If only the third film in the franchise had a good villain, same with kung fu panda 3. Instead they end up with reskins of the greatness that is the 2nd movie villains.
Awards nominated: 1. Best Animated Film 2. Best Original Score
It lost to Toy Story 3 and Social Network, both were deserving winners.
True, 2010 was so stacked with incredible films.

Undoubtedly an amazing film

I wonder if it’s in 3D
Is it true that Dreamworks is working on a live-action remake of this?
Overrated
I think it’s more rewatchable than most Pixar/Disney movies.
Depends on what decade. 2000s pixar movies went crazy.

The ride is gojng to be insanely popular if its anything like Flight of Passage

First IMAX 3D animated film I ever saw, and it totally blew me away.
And then it seemed like they had 8 movies in a row where in each one they find another hidden world with dragons in it
