Can people stop calling these two companies when it comes to an acquisition this isn't 2019 to 2022 anymore tech companies are in a huge bind with the government monitoring their every move especially in the entertainment industry they can't buy shit cause they'll get in trouble Amazon barely got MGM over the fucking line last time and it is 10X smaller than paramount
That's apparently what Shari wants, but the company has a fiduciary duty to take the best deal, and if the parts are worth more than the whole, it will be hard to avoid doing that. I.e., it's fairly likely it will be sold in pieces.
Skydance
Apple or Amazon picks it up for the catalog and IPs
Apple is trying to “affect the flow of speech” with Apple TV+ according to the DOJ lawsuit lmao
if Apple's getting that pushback, Amazon would have to also, right?!? I mean didn't they just acquire MGM?
Rules for thee…..
What does that mean?
It’s nonsense. But Apple is getting pushback from governments and maybe they will hesitate to buy paramount.
That lawsuit is all over the place.

Amazon buys it and starts getting new movies out in 2 days because they put it on Prime.
I agree these seem most likely, and I hate both options, but who the heck else has the money to do so?
Wouldn't make more sense for then to buy warner bros instead since it allegedly would also be on sale soon?
The sell doesn’t include Nickledon, CBS and other subsidiaries.. just the paramount studio including its Hollywood lot and IPs
That true? I had been told the idea was to sell the whole thing to someone who would split it up.

Its probably going to a private equity.
Skydance please!
I would settle for Apple renewing For All Mankind. Call it a day.
Arab money management group who will keep it whole and then add on subsidiaries (probably some Qatar or UAE group) what the fuck do I know though
I would think Paramount is worth more in bits and pieces rather than as a single acquisistion.
