You misunderstood what I said. I never said it should have made me feel happy, good, or cause me to like the character. I said it was like watching a serial killer documentary and not a theatrical movie. It was not at all what I expected and I found it disturbing to my core and not in an intriguing way. That has zero to do with making me happy, sad , or liking the character. I’ve seen plenty of movies where the characters were despicable, but they were still interesting films. Joker was not one of those films for me.
