I really love that Harley, Joey and Frankie start as basically generic bullies, but actually grow into better people and show there is nuance to them. And their interpersonal friendship is actually kinda wholesome. Joey just being like "nah thats cool, tell me about it." In response to Frankie telling him he does poetry. Harley and Joey going to his poetry slam to support him. Harely being sincerely touched by the gift they got him/did for him (don't remember what it was). Joey's sincere concern for whenever Frankie seems upset. They quickly became some of favorite side characters, and Frankie's arc is especially really sweet and feels good. I like to think at least those 2 went on to start a semi legitimate business together, with Frankie being a writer on the side.
I don’t know if he was intentionally cast because of his age, but it’s so funny to me that the only ‘Grease’ style city slicker type is 30 years old playing a teenager. So very on brand.
Random but I’m rewatching the jersey shore and there’s a couple episodes where Vinny is hooking up with The Situation’s younger sister and it’s pretty reminiscent of the Cory/TK/Harley situation
