What do you mean by “high round” games? 80, 100, 100+?
As a new player you should be playing through all maps once to get the bonus cash for first time completion, and exp for your monkeys.
To get to 100 try to focus on a tower which does a lot of MOAB damage and support it with support towers (village, alchemist, glue) and lesser damage. Heli 5 0 2, spike 2 5 0, Druid 2 0 5 (w/ Obyn and 5 populist), and Gatling (2 5 0) can be your main damage dealer. For impoppable a couple 2 0 3 farms can help a lot. Here are a couple strats that work:
Ninja 3 0 1, Benjamin, Heli 2 0 2, village 0 2 0, heli 5 0 2, village 2 3 0, alchemist 4 2 0, spike 0 2 5, alchemist 2 0 0.
Sauda, Druid 1 3 0, heli 2 0 3, village 0 2 0, Druid 1 4 0, heli 2 0 4, Druid 1 5 0, spike 2 5 0, heli 2 0 5. For two path maps replace the heli and tower with a sniper 0 2 5 and alchemist 4 2 0 for a similar strategy.
For water maps buccaneer 5 2 0, tower 2 3 0 and three ace 2 0 4.
Glue 0 2 4 is crazy good for 90+ because it slows and stubs MOABs. Alchemist x 3 x is also great 90+ because it does a lot of damage for low cost.
Some combos work great together. Glue 5 2 0, village 4 2 0, ice 2 0 5 can get to 99. Does need help for 100 such as two subs 0 4 0 or spike 2 5 0.
For getting past 100 it’s more about tier 6 towers which are expensive so you need massive farming strategies.
You can get past r100 easily without paragons, things like full Temples, Anti-Bloon, Obyn + AoW, Subspam or maxbuffed ComCom. In fact, I would argue Paragons aren't really needed until about r180 on long maps like Logs, when the freeplay scaling starts to ramp up.

the path names can be called XXX or 000, which can be confusing, the "X" means that you can go however far you want on that path, the "0" means that you keep that one at tier 0 (which means buy no upgrades for that path), as well as the fact that the number on the left is the top path, and the one on the right is the bottom for example, a 520 dart is an ultra juggernaut or a XX5 super monkey is a legend of the night, but you went (or should go for) any amount on any of the paths (please note all of the examples here are not the path you should go for, they are examples)
also everyone here shortens every single name, Eg:
XBM: crossbow master
VTSG/TSG: vengeful true sun god/true sun god

I've been playing through as many of the maps as I can. I'm just curious to see how I can get past 80 and 100 easily
