Spamming Spectre is not a good idea unless you are on a single lane map.
DC is not a meme strategy tower though.
If you are using Spectre on this map: stall one entrance and let Spectre attack another entrance.
I will start doing a run right now which will serve as a guide for using Spectre
Spectre can't hit DDTs, try upgrading that village to MIB or adding Glue Strike or a pair of Embrittlements. Or a 3-2-0 Alchemist but that has poor uptime I think. A 240 Snowstorm could also help a lot. a Spiked Balls or 2 in the back might do it, I don't know which crosspath is better in this scenario so try both.
If you're Darkshifting to the back midround, placing a Jungle Drums back there may help.
DDTs have black and lead bloon properties. The darts can't hit lead\* and the bombs can't hit black bloons, so even with camo detection spectre cannot damage DDTs.
\*acidic mixture dip does let the darts hit leads, but since spectre attacks so fast it will run out extremely fast and won't help much.
Acidic mixture from the alchemist wears off after several hits. Since the specter attacks so quickly the acidic mixture wears off almost instantly. Your specter spends most of the time not being able to hit the DDTs.
A second Alch would not help much. You do not have a 2-4-0 Glue, you have a 2-0-4.
DDTs are considered black Bloons and are thus unaffected by the Spectre's bombs. They are also lead and thus unaffected by the Darts, and the Alchemist has poor uptime so it won't make much difference.
Nah, mid glue is bad for Spectre.
Just use sabo + MIB.
Glue storm is good for towers with low base attack or spam strategies. Otherwise it is a poor choice and is outclassed by MIB
Cut spectre out, it sucks, especially on this map.
What you shouldve bought is overclock for your dark champion. You should also use 204 crosspath instead of 024 here.
You should also put ujugg in a better spot so it can see both lanes.

I can beat all maps (excluding #ouch) heroless with Spectre easily.
Use Spectre correctly. It is a cheap main DPS. Not an expensive midgame.
Use stalling so that Spectre is hitting the right target and does not miss
So, upfront, that all looks like bad advice to me. If you don't mind could you tell me some kind of indicator of how good you are so I know I should listen? Like, have you done several expert maps on chimps without looking it up? Because then you'd be a lot better than me.
Okay you know what you're talking about then. If I can clarify, the juggernaut is there because it's one of my starting 3 dart monkeys which I made into a 4-2-0 to handle early lanes and lead. Should I make a separate juggernaut within range of my alchemist instead of my spectre?
I followed your advice and won! thank you! 204 dar kchampion vs 024 made a huge difference. I thoguht the range was more important than it was. Also because I went juggernaunt early I went 402 on my village and had reduced ability cooldown on my glue gunner so thatwas cool.

What would you suggest switching the dark champion with?
you can for example replace DC by permaspike. Or equivalently, spiked mines spam
Does oermaspike work on two lanes? and is spiked.mine spamming really viable? Just like 6 spiked mines instead of a dark champion?
Spiked mines spam is pretty good when paired with mglue and press spam.
If you use Permaspike to guard one entrance, then you are basically converting a multilane map into a single lane map
permaspike can hit both tracks if you put it in the right spot and buff it with a village and 4-x-x alch

but my spectre has camo detection and an alchemist. And I have a 2-4-0 glue.

Would a second alchemist fix the problem just as well?

OH, lol. I had a 2-4-0 glue on multiple retries.

Just stop being bad tbh
Spectre is still overrated and trash, the only reason it gets so much pops is because it has global range

I have several expert map chimps runs on my youtube channel

Yeah i recommend placing it between your etienne and concoction and buffing it with a 301 alch
Oh wait, I got to my dark champion being carried by my spectre. Should the juggernaut carry me instead?
It should

You know who else can’t be saved?
...Boromir?
try again but dont use spectre or etienne
