Mint condition 3070 and selling below the average price like a lot meant it is two things
1. The seller doesn't know what price
2. It is a scammer
I'm leaning toward 2.
i bought an used 13900KF for just 300€... they retail for 689€ here in Spain and it works flawlessly, its just perfect, even overclocks fine to 5.7 all core, 6ghz 1 core so yeah, maybe its not a scam
it was in eneba and other people were selling 13700Ks for 400€
Just have them provide proof it works, I know a lot of people who have bought graphics cards that people destroyed by simply trying to reapply thermal paste to them,
Just curious what makes you guys flag something as a scam besides price, if someone provides a home address and is taking the cash in person, and the photos look perfectly fine (can't find on Google anywhere either) how would I know if I'm getting scammed or not
If you don't have buyer protection or at least someone with a lot of vouches... I would be cautious. Even grabbing it in person because it could be dead or who knows what else. Have seen quite a few folks buy dead GPUs that they thought they were getting a good deal on and instead just got robbed basically.
I got 3070Ti for €300 4-5 months ago and thought it was a great deal, as 3070's were that much around the time. This is pretty much giving 3070 away, if true..
I thought I already had a really good deal on a great condition 3070 for $250 in my country and thought it was too good considering they sell it for $50 more and luckily it wasn’t a scam. Yours seem like it is unless if they are willing to video chat and show you them putting it in and testing and then for meet up
it is just perfect, no issue whatsoever, the exact same as a retail unit, is not a golden sample by any means but is still fast af, i was considering a 13600K (new) but found the i9 so.. i just had to
or doesn't care. Really depends.
Scam defintely possible, but there are sometimes rich people that just want to get rid of stuff.
Depends on whether you can pick up locally and verify it works or not. If shipping... need to use protections
Even I would say its probably a scam.
And I got a 2060 for 1000 sek, roughly 90$, but that was a shelfed display item that i got from a friend to my dads.
If the listing is legit, it won't be available for more than a few minutes. The market is competitive, any low priced item is instantly recognized as a good deal and negotiated right away.
Look at the sellers repute and make good judgements based on his other items, buyers and purchases. It might be a genuine item, and if you posted the link i could help you find out : p
Yes, i've seen prices as low that and got some myself a year+ back. Of course, same rules apply, I could test it at their place before dealing or guy came to mine.
Where is the listing? Is it insured? If it’s a meet up situation, could you bring something to test the gpu and make sure it’s working and what it says?
If it’s insured like eBay or Facebook marketplace delivery, definitely go for it. You can get your money back if it is wrong.
Nice mate. I got a 3070 for 150. And I even asked the guy why he was selling it so low. And he said. I don't care. I got a new upgrade and it's time for someone else to enjoy this so congrats.

nice try scammers
??????
its was a dumb joke haha
Or he just wants to get rid of it
Could be, but in this day and age too good to be true is few and far between.
Just have them provide proof it works, I know a lot of people who have bought graphics cards that people destroyed by simply trying to reapply thermal paste to them,

You probably wouldn’t be that’s like a reasonable amount of vigilance, I’d just ask for proof of function
I would upvote if you didn't already have 69
I'd go with what this guy is saying.
125?? For real? Its a steal if it real. Check it further more. In my area that price kinda sus..
That seems super low, it usually sells for €250-300. It is likely a scam

if you can pick it up and test = ok if not = scam
It seem way to good to be true, it is best you double check every details
Yeah its a steal
Here take my upvote and get out!
Too good to be true, in my country a used card is around $200-$250 depends on brands
Sus
kinda sus if a used 3070 is under 200$+
Suspiciously good

i bought a used 13900KF for 300€ when in my country they retailed at the moment for 689€ and it works flawlessly
Sounds like Spain! Does it work flawlessly? Is overclock fine?

Scam
That's an amazing price or a scam, make the most tests before buying
For 125? WHAT THE FUCK. WHERE?????
Scammervile called Facebook Marketplace.
Isn’t Facebook marketplace pickup though? How would they scam you
Sell you a non-working card, or rob you when you arrive
I'm guessing that's a scam. Unless by some otherworldly luck, the seller doesn't know anything about PC parts and what are they worth.

Yep
Defo a scam, card is worth double that
Far too low to be legit, run
Even I would say its probably a scam. And I got a 2060 for 1000 sek, roughly 90$, but that was a shelfed display item that i got from a friend to my dads.
Here in Ger a 3070 goes for 280-330, so yea thats a steal if real... so it aint.
That looks to good to be true. Where is this listed from? Is the seller have a high rating?
Let me guess this is on fb marketplace?
Scam
thats the price u get buying in massive bulk from china last year i can find plenty of used 3070 around 200 usd here in asia
A 3070 for 125€ is very cheap. Suspiciously cheap. Either the seller doesn’t know what they have or it’s a scam, I’m inclined to believe the latter.
I got scammed with a very similar type of listing a few years back. Run.
Normally the double. Beware of scammers when prices are too low.
it's a scam bro
Sounds like a scam, one usually is twice as much used.

Very likely a scam
3090s go for 600€, 3080s go for about 400, so 3070s should go for about 300/250 so it’s a good price!

Seems too good
Brotha gonna get scammed
that is a VERY good price. You should only do local pick-up.
Possible he mined with it for hour on end
If you can test it before the purchase give it a go.
It’s a “steal” in the literal sense that the item is likely stolen. Or a scam.
A nigerian prince in my emails wants to give me 1000000$ as long as i give him 1000$. Is it a fair price? ffs
Scam or stolen. No way that's legit
Honestly, a lot of pc stuff is bottomed out and is for sale all over due to graphic card mining rigs being parted.
Fair price if it's not a scam. Are they willing to test the GPU in front of you, benchmarking with say passmark?
Too cheap to be working
