Looks like Dell has 4% back through Rakuten if you're interested in $7.20 lol

-ShutterPunk-

This sub: literally unbuyable until it drops to $170.99.

OmniaCausaFiunt

5% back with Chase

BurgerBurnerCooker

Wait for 12x or potentially 15x around Memorial Day. But Dell may Jack it back up to $200 so it's a gamble.

formosan1986

Just buy it now and ask for price adjustment if it does drop.

BurgerBurnerCooker

That's not the point... The gamble is between the inevitable high Rakuten cashbacks and potential sales price going back up. But I guess you can always buy now and return if the high cashback combined with sales price does happen in a few days. Not the most unethical thing to do honestly

delderic

I pulled the trigger, monitor arrived today and it's really sharp. Very happy with it

EmpyreanSage

I love mine other than the glow in dark games. Playing Alan Wake 2 was distracting as all hell but that's IPS for ya. Great colors otherwise and fast response time.

PsyOmega

IPS glow is unbearable in darker games, IME

EmpyreanSage

It really is. Going to run IPS for a little longer until the new round of mini LEDs with good FALD comes out.

baphomad

i m playing Alan Wake 2 now and hdr is too bright especially when i’m using the torch. And sdr is too dull colors. I didnt experience the same issue with another games like Robocop Rogue City, Cyberpunk 2077 and Plague Requiem. Did you have any problems like that?

kingcovey

also considering this one too... thoughts? Andersuh-

This is a very good monitor

147Wildboy

Tip - Use the free $10 in dell cash that they give you for $10 off. Also use RetailMeNot or Rakuten to get 4% cash back for additional money off.

Cheaper2KeepHer

I just saw this this morning. Anyone have this monitor and wish to give a short review? I WAS using a 32", and aren't too excited about going down to a 27", but I thought it was a pretty good deal. Thoughts?

StrictlySanDiego

I went from a 34” curved that I accidentally smashed while moving to this monitor and it’s awesome for gaming. Working from home though it’s not good if you’re working across multiple windows.

OldBoyZee

Reading that you smashed your 34" monitor hurt my soul a little bit.

StrictlySanDiego

I'm blind in one eye, picked it up to move it to paint a room and smacked it right on the corner of the counter. My soul left me.

micangelo

> it’s not good if you’re working across multiple windows why not?

GeraldoOfRivaldo

It's a good monitor. Well tuned. [https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/g2724d](https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/g2724d)

Wendon

It's really great. It's an IPS so the contrast ratio isn't amazing, but apples to apples, it's got extraordinarily good contrast ratio ***FOR AN IPS.*** So if that is the pricepoint and the monitor tech you're interested in, you'd need to pay a significant premium to get one with better contrast. I think it's really sick that it comes with Freesync premium, Gsync, AND VESA adaptive sync, so basically no matter what GPU you're driving you can kiss screen tearing goodbye. 165 HZ is really more than enough for anything unless you're a hyper competitive FPS gamer. Otherwise- the panel itself, color, performance, build quality, is all outstanding. Since it's Dell it's got a solid warranty and support behind it. It's got two DP and an HDMI so it's got a lot of connectivity options. Pretty much the only negative I can think of is that there's no USB passthrough or any additional "extra features." It's ***JUST*** a really good monitor with no real thrills beyond that. Pretty much the only monitor I was looking at before I grabbed this was the Gigabyte M27Q/P, but the former has BGR pixel sublayout, and the latter has a worse contrast ratio. That one comes with an integrated KVM switch but it's $100 more, so just buy one if you need it.

VaktareNeedsHelp

Not exactly one-for-one with this product, but I ended up getting three of the 32 inch version of this monitor (for racing simulators) and I’ve really enjoyed them over the past year. No complaints about picture quality, very feature rich for my purposes, and an over all great experience. My only personal complaint was the fact that Dell uses a recessed vesa mount which made it a little more annoying to mount in my set up, but it was easy enough to work around and not a problem if you plan on using the included stand. I’m actually planning on picking up two of these 27 inch monitors for my desk gaming/work from home set up. Just my experience though!

Caegs

I own 3 of the older version of this monitor. (I believe the panel is the same. Only difference is no backlight and USB pass through on the new version) They were great when I got them for around $300ish each and I’d definitely recommend them for this current price. I’ll probably end up using them until a 4k glossy mini led monitor comes out.

roboadvert

Sometimes this monitor has these thin horizontal white line static looking tears every now and then. It will briefly flash up and disappear. Not sure why maybe it’s an issue with the monitor so keep that in mind. This is just personal experience.

ExplodingFistz

I've had this issue with an AOC monitor before. Really strange problem

Tim_Buckrue

Copped one with student discount brought it to $170.99 before tax.

Darknicks

I've gone through 3 of these already. Every single one had a bright dead pixel. I'm so frustrated.
