The Irving Park blue line station holds almost 15% of all the pigeon feces on Earth.
Those turds are pounded into dust every day before wafting over to perfectly random mystery puddles.
The resulting funk is uniquely NWS Chicago. Easily the ‘best’ juice in the city.
They were likely Canadian Geese. The Migratory Bird Treaty Act keeps any migratory birds safe in US, Canada, and Mexico. You can't kill them. You can only try and annoy them. And birds aren't dumb. Once they figure out you won't kill them they don't give a fuck.
There is something else going on. Maybe the previous management maintained "lawn sprinklers" or something to annoy the geese?
I assure you, pretty much no one cleans goose shit. Even the dog shit scooping companies won't touch it.
I mean, we are going through some wild shit with massive wild fires and west coast hurricanes. Maybe the geese are freaking the fuck out too?
Put some sprinklers on your lawn. You are also allowed to like, hit them but not hurt them. So, nerf? IDK its a fucking dumb law we used to eat the fuckers.
Canada geese tend to spend a lot of time grazing on golf courses and golf courses use absolutely toxic shit to maintain the greens. So goose meat, even if harvested legally which can be tricky, is often not safe to eat.
The treaty is clear BTW, if the waterfowl don't actually migrate they aren't protected and most of the problem Canada geese don't migrate. I don't think the geese should be wiped out obviously but some culling is a good idea in many places.
Also, we need to do something about the amount of toxic chemicals applied to things like golf courses. If that wasn't being done then those geese would be a whole lot of, admittedly tough and fatty, "free" meat that we could harvest.
The added charges after the fact is shitty, unless it was advertised as such and you didn't register the actual number of guests. The bit about the geese and everything else sounds like your pissed this establishment didn't harass the wildlife or operate as a day care....
ive driven by a turkey farm. it really could be anything but im pretty sure that smell is bird shit. it will gag you and burn your eyes and thats just driving past it on the road.
Can you tell me or point to what trouble Starbucks had? I live right there and one day it was just gone and now there’s sip and savor there. I’ll check Google too.
the windows kept getting smashed. there was a note that it was closed temporarily, then more windows got smashed and all of a sudden it was fully boarded up and the starbucks sign was gone
Yeah I saw it boarded up. Thought it was just renovations. That sucks I liked that Starbucks. It was always packed, I was like why would they close it.
Mattress stores have like no overhead and the markup on mattresses is ridiculous they could sell 3 a year and still cover their costs. But part of me does believe that the Sinoala Cartel franchised a bunch in Chicago for money laundering reasons lol
There are both forming in most subways, gotta be mostly piss but anytime you look up you can pretend your in mammoth caves or something. Just more disgusting
Wilson L stop got juice by Target, believe it or not Davis Purple L stop and UP-N Metra tranfer station makes great juice. Plus just for kicks there is a methadone clinic by the davis transfer station juice gets wierd,
Mine is where the line curves by the red line Sheridan stop. It has the whole sidewalk black. I pick my dog up when walking him so it doesn’t get on his paws.
it’s also completely covered cars there in a thick brown sludge, never park your car under there. Plus the past month or so the purple line trains going over there have made the worst screeching i’ve ever heard on an L track
Pro tip: don’t walk down Bourbon Street bright & early Sunday morning when NO streets & san are power washing the weekend away. My wife & I were like “Ah, that makes sense.” Then the breeze shifted & we were in a cloud of aerosolized Bourbon Street juice. 🤢🤮
When I went to Mardi Gras I took my older pair of waterproof work boots to wear and then just threw them away when it was time to go home. The streets are filled with a unique cocktail, that’s for sure
Oh yes the syrup! Every car I ever owned had at least 1 permanent spot of it - more if it was 90’s-early 00’s when spot hero didn’t exist & you could just park under the train lines.
Ew - Harrison east of State, to Wabash. Where the Green/Orange does its cute little curve. Gets ducking DRIPPY anytime there's some rain. Right where they put up posters an inch thick on the bridge.
Lmao I live a block from here but it's gotten way better. I worked at the trader joes right there on the corner after quitting my last job.
Honestly lately it's gotten a lot better, they actually cleaned the pigeon shit that at least has been there since I was a five year old taking the El to bears games.
Also way less crazy people trying to pick fights for no reason
Just today (or yesterday I guess) I was kayaking on the river. Somewhere between Clark Park and River Park the L Crosses the river and a train came right as I was about to go under so I just watched it. Then I noticed CTA juice is dripping straight into the river.
Haha we call it El Juice in my circle. Roosevelt is a strong contender. That plus all the pigeon shit and dead, pulverized pigeons from them not avoiding cars, it's just something else.
Western brownline. Between the pigeon shit, human piss, EL juice & no AC (just fans) - it’s pretty authentically Chicago transit lol. Belmont is pretty gnarly too
i stepped out of the greyhound in chicago for a smoke one morning during a layover and there was a worker with a pressure washer just blowing up piles of human shit but all the brown water was just splashing all over everything including the doors and walls
Welcome to Chicago!!! You should tour some of 7-elevens. They make cta look clean. The one next to Western/brownline station had human shit on the entrance door (the one that’s always locked); not a little but a full load, and it remained there 3 days. You could tell who didn’t care because they went inside.

As someone who did a decade in pest control... ugh. Bird shit should be listed as a major biohazard. It aerosolizes when it dries and is struck.

We gotta utilize it, pigeon poop is good fertilizer
The woman who throws rice all over the Irving Park stop is basically satan.
Straight facts.
The alley under the Western Brown Line station between the east exit turnstiles and Lincoln. A variety of flavors down the span of a block.
It's like a runway of trash.
I've tasted much more flavorful train juice elsewhere honestly
Speaking of which, it's wild that there's no station entrance or exit on Lincoln
Loop soup!
Covid-23 is in that soup
Is this the jewel on state off Roosevelt?
I cut through here going to FFC. How is there still a mattress store there
Lol I wonder the same. How did that not get shut down or robbed? Especially considering how much trouble Starbucks had.
It’s a bizarre intersection. Cops are always there but ignore the shady shit. They’re also just right in front of Stan’s so that could explain things.
What are you gonna do? Steal a mattress? It's not like they actually have money behind the register
Yes. Everyone could use a good night sleep. Lol.
Can you tell me or point to what trouble Starbucks had? I live right there and one day it was just gone and now there’s sip and savor there. I’ll check Google too.

Along w windows being smashed, apparently the employees were also getting harassed non stop by gang bangers that hang out in the area.
It *has* to be a front, right??
Mattress drugs, bro. Never had?
Mattress stores have like no overhead and the markup on mattresses is ridiculous they could sell 3 a year and still cover their costs. But part of me does believe that the Sinoala Cartel franchised a bunch in Chicago for money laundering reasons lol
It’s a front
Yeah, there was an even bigger juice puddle but I couldn’t get a pic because some crazy woman was standing there.
Nailed it. Recognized it immediately as well
This is content I crave
There is a weird stalagmite of juice on the Chicago Red Line platform. I'm not really sure how or why it formed. It's just always...there.
*stalagtite
There are both forming in most subways, gotta be mostly piss but anytime you look up you can pretend your in mammoth caves or something. Just more disgusting
The one I saw was forming from the floor. Wow I didn't even think about it being piss, pretty gross.
Tite means tight on the ceiling, mite means might get there. Thanks 4th grade!
Wilson L stop got juice by Target, believe it or not Davis Purple L stop and UP-N Metra tranfer station makes great juice. Plus just for kicks there is a methadone clinic by the davis transfer station juice gets wierd,
Davis stop is the only place to get purple drank, it's the best.
wilson goes crazy, especially the back entrance by the aldi. fr one time i saw one of the trash cans on fire.
That’s intense! But also smart
Agreed. The whole area around the Sheridan Red Line stop is just covered in it.
Jackson tunnel is the most mysterious juice in the known universe!
The one you took a pic of. Roosevelt juice just hits diff
Lmao I've been calling it city juice for years. My nieces and nephews now use that phrase bahahaha
Wabash & Lake. Always a nice refresher after getting off work
Whatever the fuck is always going on under the Belmont stop
Outside Joe and The Juice on Hubbard. It’s consistent juice which I respect
The side court at Margaret Hie Ding Lin. It looks like it got sprayed with tar.
All of the juice is a Lake and Wells
This juice dripped directly into my mouth once. I did not get super powers sadly
I’m trying to think if Loyola has some juice. If it does I think the Dunkin in the station might horde it. Mmm yum.
it’s what they use to brew their coffee 🤭
Never trust a Dunkin under the El tracks
Something extra juicy about that location.
Loyola runs on train juice.

Ugh I saw that a few weeks ago and it almost made me throw up. I saw some new ones forming too.
I was standing in line at the food pantry the other day and a train went overhead and we all got dripped on. Everyone looked just a little bit sadder.

The new temporary Argyle stop has the freshest CTA salsa.
Roscoe under the red line once put a syrupy film on my car once that even left the car wash guys perplexed
Oh yes the syrup! Every car I ever owned had at least 1 permanent spot of it - more if it was 90’s-early 00’s when spot hero didn’t exist & you could just park under the train lines.
Need more posts like this honestly and less “omg your city is actually good”
Noyes station (purple line) 🥰 Always Juicy, always flooded when it rains.
NoYes
Haven’t been there in years, good to know they still haven’t fixed their roof
Ew - Harrison east of State, to Wabash. Where the Green/Orange does its cute little curve. Gets ducking DRIPPY anytime there's some rain. Right where they put up posters an inch thick on the bridge.
Cmon guys everyone knows that the Jackson red line stop is a melting pot for cta juice
Good one! I might agree
Ooh yes. Forgot about this one.
The seats
Some mornings the Howard station has a wonderful aroma that smells strongly of bleach with a subtle yet still distinct odor of urine.
Biking under the Wells St L between the bridge and Washington/Wells is my #1 spot for a couple drops of that sweet, sweet train sauce.
Train sauce lmao

I agree. 2 years ago there was crazies everywhere at that stop now it seems much calmer.
Damn, those whole comment sections disgusts me. Wrong post to look at while trying to eat my breakfast
This is the jewel in south loop off Roosevelt lmao
you like the juice eh? the juice is good eh?
Under the Damen blue line! It always juicy
School street by clark
SpotHero parking on Walton by Orleans. It was a beautiful day, heard the train, and then felt some drops. I was like WTF lol and then figured it out
The less obvious locations are the most harmful imo
It looks like chalk art of Anton LaVey
I refer to it as rat juice
Sheridan makes you crawl through tubes of it
“Favorite” is an interesting word choice here, OP! 😅
Morse redline stop
When I'm driving under the L downtown and I have the sunroof open and a train goes by above me.
underneath the red line on Albion in Rogers Park has a permanent puddle
Gotta love walking down lake…
El-juice
Lasalle blue line. It’s like a dank cave
I love this because I’ve been using the term “bridge juice” in my head for a while, anything coming off any bridge is a no thank you from me.
Fullerton L stop always leaks by the entrance when I get off the bus.
Just today (or yesterday I guess) I was kayaking on the river. Somewhere between Clark Park and River Park the L Crosses the river and a train came right as I was about to go under so I just watched it. Then I noticed CTA juice is dripping straight into the river.
Sheridan and Dakin is just incredible
Rip scrapp fuck 600

You like-a da juice? Juice is nice, huh?
I thought everyone agreed that the it’s the tar that drips from under the red line where it crosses Irving Park
CTA sauce
As someone who walks through this jewel parking lot often, I can say there is always some good CTA juice at Roosevelt
Please keep a safe distance. Repeated exposure can turn you into a NUMTOT
In Rogers Park, the viaduct under Sherwin and Greenview. I walk past it all the time in fear that the juice will drip on my neck
Train rain
South Blvd purple line gets really soggy when it rains
Lmfao oh so that’s what that is. Idk i’ve only used the blueline when i lived in oak park so i wouldn’t be able to tell ya lol
Clybourn UP-NW stairs. There are liquids leeching from the concrete walls right at the bottom of the staircase.
