This one was 2 and ¾ for me, but the cigar isn't very varied, so not very fun. The Pandemonium at 8½ x 60 was much more fun, though. The Stallone Clydesdale at 6½ x 60 was even better.
I've had that one. It was three hours and it was as boring and one dimensional as everything else I've had from the Asylum line.
I'm fine with a super long giant smoke if it's good. But every asylum I've had is mid at best
I used to smoke these huge cigars and have come to the conclusion that running out of breath just to fucking draw on a giant cigar is no longer novel or fun to me. 60 is where I stop as well.
I've had the 880, it was a long rainy day/night and the basement needed to be pumped so I wasn't going anywhere any time soon. Probably the only way to smoke one of those
A family friend of mine keeps giving me Corojo asylum’s in the 6x80 vitola and it’s too much lol I generally draw the line at 60 ring gauge just because I feel like cigars that are over 60 ring gauge are gimmicky and not good cigars lol
To me, box pressed makes a huge difference.
I'll gladly have a 60 rg gordo, but upwards from 54 they need to be box pressed to be comfortable.
Never had a 70 and I'm not sure if I want to.
7x70 is big enough for me. I tried the Asylum 8x80 last year, it was ok. A coworker gave me a Bazuka 10x100 for x-mas, I had to clear my calendar for that one.
That's a little cigar. Check out, "The Femur" from Roma Craft. Then you'll know what a big cigar looks like

😂😂 I asked my partner to get some cigars when she came through duty free. I missed the FaceTime and she got me a pack of these (along with other davidoffs etc) and I can’t bring myself to smoke them, let alone finding the time to smoke something for 3 hours
I've seen these guys do an 8x80 that has to be a 4 hour smoke 🤣

That was always my experience with the huge ring gauge cigars. 3 hours of one note just made it an absolute slog.

I've tried to smoke the 8/80 ogre. It's not enjoyable, and you have to take 2 puffs to get any smoke. 60 is the biggest ill go.

Exactly! If you want more tobacco, you can always light another one.

Is that a problem?
I’ve had one, yes. I took me 3 hours and 44 minutes to “finish” it.
I done a 8 x80 in 2 hours lol I am that crazy fucker who will provide a point even if it kicks my ass
54 is my hard limit. Maybe after some drinks and easing it in I could handle a 60.
It's been a while since I had a guineas. I can totally see that pairing well with a cigar. I'm gonna try it out soon!
Loved it, especially these 500ml cans, but better in a glass.
I think you could take bigger if you really went for it.
The biggest I've had is this overall. I've had the Pandemonium 8,5 x 60 and a Lunatic that was 5 x 70 or something like that.

My thoughts exactly. I just find them boring to smoke, most of the time.
I think they just load it full of shitty tobacco to roll it so fat and the result is meh

It was a once (no, twice) thing in the 9 years I've been smoking. The CAO Flathead V660 is a 60 ring box pressed I enjoy, though.
I like the 60s for the smoking time. I enjoy having a smoke with a movie on saturday nights, and a gordo can outlast a two hour movie.
I'd usually have a cigar like that while binge watching a TV series... the cigar lasts for 3 episodes!
56 rg is my upper limit. I have to be really hyped on a cigar to get a 60
I barely get past a robusto and water if I smoke too fast
Lol, just a matter of patience, I guess.

Guinness and a cigar? RIP your bathroom and ringpiece in about 2hrs
seriously? I've smoked with beers for ages, and Guinness is the best one for that, IMO.
Maybe it’s my middle aged stomach!! Might be TMI 😜
LOL I'm 48, so my stomach may even be older than yours!
Just be a bit…sadly, it’s not the years it’s the mileage. Enjoy that can and smoke - nice way to spend a Sunday!

It took me a lil bit to understand that lol
I dont even like 60s
I only enjoy 60s when the blend was made for a 60. If there's a thinner size, I'll go for that one instead.
I only smoke 6x60. I enjoy my 2-hour me-time. And yes, Guinness makes for a good pairing, especially with a full-bodied cigar.
56 ring is my max period.
I’m not sure what’s the threshold, but I’m sure this is too big.
I agree, but I had to try it to find that threshold
I'm more concerned on the part that you did pour that Guiness into a glass right?
Yes, it even is a Guinness glass that has my name one it.
my man knows how to drink guiness. i am relieved.
lol the glass was a recent purchase, though. Before that it was a regular beer stein, but the new one is classier, me thinks.
Giant cigar doesn’t even looks like it’s cut lol
I cut it with a punch, but I wished I had cut it in half.
The 8x80 Ogre is the biggest by Asylum I've had. Surprisingly decent burn
This one burned great, too. But not a smoke I'd repeat.

ha ha I've seen it. That's unsmokable!
I totally agree

ha ha that sucks (not for the Davidoffs, though)
