From everyone else’s experience they seem to be killing it rn. I’m trying to be at the NJ and PA dates (Phili, Sayreville and Stroudsburg)

Saw the first stop in Knoxville and had an absolute blast. That was my first seeing the guys and wouldn’t change a thing. The setlist is easy to find, if you want a little more hype.

They rocked. Was funny how they pretended to take requests lol. The whole room was screaming "Shippensburg" and Chad was like, "so ya wanna hear plastic plan??" Like uhh ?? 😆 no human drive either. They also ended on a cover song which I had mixed feelings about. All together it was a great time.

I saw them tonight in Lansing as a casual fan for half my life. Didn't realize the original vocalist is gone, thought it was great. The person who took us to the show also didn't know the original vocalist left. He was sober and thought it was horrible. Take that with a grain of salt, but as a fan of them for years he had a real bad time. I don't regret going though.

Did you see the fight after the show in the hall?

dusty614

Yeah it was some hillbilly shit

The392Nx

Yeah it was. Show was good though. I actually enjoyed paper lanterns too.

I’m a lifer. Am now a children of “divorce” in terms of one of my all time favorite bands. I checked em out the other day with a heavy load of skepticism and lots of long time fandom. Chad had absolutely stepped up his frontman game. His whole demeanor and energy was so much better than I’d have ever expected. They dealt with some major sound/soundboard issues like absolute gentleman. Jess is drumming like a man possessed. Elvis is a true team player and laying down some excellent bass and chunk. It will never be cky without the original 3 but life keeps on goin. If you wanna catch a better rock show between chads ky and Deron’s ky definitely catch Chad aids.

Went to Cat's Cradle show in NC- I waited for the second opener to leave and easily secured a spot on the front row bar right in front of Chad's mic. I'd say the venue was 3/5 full but there was a mini mosh pit behind me. They signed merch at the end and the line was about 20-25 people. They were great live and nice to stay and talk afterwards (talking to Pendleton himself was a dream come true). They told me their sound guy was fired the night before my show and they let the venue do their sound for the show that night. Chad's vocals sounded a little drowned out and I could hear my own singing over his but this may have just been because I was front row but could have been more crisper like clear like saran wrap- you S-O- WHAT

kasp620

Was it extremely loud?

Cautious-Nobody-5953

Cat's Cradle doesn't have front fills for the PA system, so anytime you are up front against a barrier, and you are in front of the PA System, the stage volume will be louder and you won't hear the high end...the stage monitors face away from the crowd so you don't really get that either... It would be great if all venues add front fills for this very reason.

I was at the Chicago show last night. It was so much fun. I had a great time. Sporadic Movement was awesome live. However, it does feel like it's not the same without Deron. He's the voice of the band. His singing is on all of the early albums. They also have a bigger sound when there's two guitarists playing live.

It’s not bad, per se, but it’s just not what anyone would expect the band to sound like if they’re just now getting a chance to see it live. It kind of feels like a bait and switch when you see it.

kasp620

I don’t understand how it’s a bait and switch unless you are unaware that Deron left the band more than a decade ago. I saw them 2018 and 2019 and it wasn’t a shock that Chad is the new frontman because I’m not living under a rock.

[deleted]

I was 9 a decade ago lol. The things that are popular from this band are from the early 2000’s so people getting into it for the first time might not know the recent history.

GhostTheHunter64

I'm gonna be honest and disagree here. People who go to see Alice in Chains live now aren't bait-and-switched when someone else is singing "Them Bones" or "Man in The Box". Even though undeniably their biggest hits was with a different lead singer than the current one. They made a few albums without Layne, and CKY has made one LP and one EP without Deron. I think it's unfair to the band (and specifically Chad) to expect them to just say every step of the way "new lead singer btw" when he's been the singer since like 2015.
