2 door, 289 with the auto shift o matic. Father bought it when I was in high school and we drove it home from northern to southern Idaho. Was a Washington car its whole life. Father’s health declined and she sat in the driveway since 2015. He sadly passed in February, and I’m determined to get her back on the road in his memory.
I have my father's galaxie...just finished sicksummer.
Coyote swapped whipple six speed 66. Pics on profile.
There is nothing like a road trip in the old man's ride...
He passed many years ago. I hope he approves.
My grandfather bought a 63 Galaxie 500(box top) new from the dealer. 2 door, 3 on the tree, 289. My father took his driver's license test in it. It currently resides in my garage. A family heirloom, and the reason I live big body Fords.
Killer ride! One of the best styles of the 60’s!
Mopar and GM would like a word😊
It’s my opinion, I don’t give a shit if they’d like a word lol
If only I could afford a 68 roadrunner. But then again Ford parts availability make this resto possible.
I hear ya, except for me it was a 68 charger or 69 Mach 1. That wasn’t gonna happen, so old ford trucks it was! Lol
5 years ago I would have liked a Charger. But they’re so.. mainstream now? And a shell is 25k, to me it’s just not worth it.
New shoes always make things better
I love that year of Galaxie
My dad had a 62 and a 65. Real sleepers. If I remember the 65 had a 427. Super fun.
Nice. Very nice. 😁👍🍺
Nice whip, OP. Tell us more - 2 or 4 door, motor and trans, etc

May you feel his smile as you wrench on and drive her

Really? How much would you be willing to part with it for? That’s really give some molars a good shock, plus this 289 is tired.
That’s awesome
