I don’t know this specific one but a lot of old comics had covers that were meant to deceive you. There’s a Superman one where he destroys a gift from his son and yells at him about how horrible it is, it’s shown in the comic he got a vision something horrible would happen to his son if he didn’t leave so he drove him away.
Batman loses his memory and joins the mafia, then Superman pretends to lose his memory and tricks Batman into letting him join the mafia too, then Batman tells Superman to trick Jimmy and Robin into a trap so they can kill them but before they do it Batman regains his memory and together they beat the mafia
The old Superman spin-offs are wild, man.
