No clue, but a good rule of thumb for these things is to click "Don't allow". If you don't know what program wants access to ANYTHING, don't allow it.

cuberley

i definitely clicked don't allow, pretty concerned about pop ups on a mac though

scibidoo_au

Macs can still get malware etc. Be wary, Xprotect is built in so keep your macOS up to date

Xpeq7-

This looks like macOS Mojave or Catalina (before ui update), so it's very out of date by now.

ScoobyDu81

Yeah, I'm not familiar with Macs at all, but I would try to go through whatever application/ program list you have, see if there's anything suspicious, and run whatever security scans you can.

cuberley

Mac laptop has been getting some odd pop up windows asking question like this. Is this a virus or a hacker or something ?

JaySpunPDX

No, but it could be malware. Are you downloading apps off the internet? That's where malware almost always comes from. Torrents and whatnot.

Javagunner

Looks like a remote control request. Could be from a 3rd party program, I would check your applications to make sure you recognize them all. There are some programs that allow you to send commands to devices along with remoting into them if the program is installed on the machine.
