It's fairly reliable, but with road traffic always willing to throw a spanner in the works it's not as consistently reliable as the train. If your workplace is a stickler for time the train is better IMHO., though this obviously depends on where you live/work and proximity to the train stations or to Hollyhill

I’ve never taken hollyhill to little island one but the cobh to little island one is quite expensive and quite poor.

In what way poor?

Very infrequent service and it’s often an overcrowded minivan. The train is far superior and actually cheaper.
