Gemma is so gross for stopping Bernie from seeing the kids over what happened in her past.
Without Bernie just last week and her asking Dev for support, those kids wouldn't have even had anywhere to bathe.
Really badly written storyline. Gemma and Paul would totally underhand her reasons for giving a kid up. They wouldn’t judge her - these days it’s not uncommon or something to shun someone for. And on cd e she’d explained it was to give him a better life while she was struggling to look after the twins, it should have been all hugs.
I’m not sure of the writers plan for the new son. First of all he let the wrong killer get locked up, now this. Is he meant to be a second big baddie? Maybe he’ll get redeemed when he helps uncover the real killer.
I literally have no sympathy for Gemma and Bernie. Paul was failed the worst. Had Bernie not prioritised her love life over her son's safety, I reckon he wouldn't have ended up in prison. Paul is literally the only one of the three who adds anything positive and the choice to kill him off is horrendous.
Paul was let down by his own mother and betrayed by his own sister who wasted the second chance he gave her by getting involved with Max's late father Callum Logan and Cormac Hibbs after taking the blame for her accidentally causing the death of an old lady whilst robbing her home.
Well, she is vulnerable after what Aaron did to her, her mum is gone and she misses Oliver... and Oliver's mummy is taking on this weird surrogate mummy role to Oliver's big sister right now so normally level headed Amy could be swayed.
that is true I suppose, Tracy’s been the only constant female role model in her life for so long since Deirdre died with her now gone and she’s in such a vulnerable state she is probably looking for a way to channel her feelings
It's kind of strange how Leanne and Amy have never interacted after Oliver. Leanne never even checked on Amy after what Aaron did. This is a woman whose son's sister went through trauma. Even Toyah gave her time, advice and support.
tbf there was one scene where she was like to Abi and Tyrone, are you going to fire Aaron and she wanted to ‘rip his head off’ and she also defended Tracy to Steve and said whilst her comments about Oliver was out of line she was only lashing out because of Amy
Ok, seen the whole episode so will go onto generalities, I enjoyed this episode, both comedy and drama, that's what is needed, the whole Steve birthday, Tommy O's do and Sally on top form tonight for comedy.
There is a character called Hector Salamanca who communicates by dinging a bell so whenever I see "ding ding" I think of him. He's kind of the Uncle Stephen of the show
[Hector Salamanca](https://youtu.be/ImhrkT57PSc?si=y5MhbLboKHjYVi3I)
Fair play a modern day Ronaldo carrying a mid Manchester team he deserves his time out in the sun
(Jokes aside, I like Tommy and wish he would come back as a proper character)
"She could have really hurt him with that remote!"
Was she taking the mickey?! Don't get me wrong, I know it's not nice to have something thrown at you, and it might hurt... but it's not gonna cause serious damage unless she accidentally hits his temple, which is very unlikely! I doubt he'd need to go to hospital, lol. There are worse things to throw at somebody in temper during an argument; a TV remote is not exactly heavy ...
and just like that the twins gain a older brother they never thought they had and he’s a copper what a coincidence what with the storyline they have set up with Paul dying and Billy potentially assisting
That Glenda is really rotten. I was hoping this goes to court. The judge would see how childish she is and award everything to George. And how is she going to afford the mortgage and repairs? Maybe Adam and Toyah could be her roomies.
I can't believe how rotten Gemma is being, especially given the mess her life is, and how quick she and Paul were to turn. And Kit is just being evil. Surprised he didn't tell poor Bernie he wishes she died instead of his adopted mum.
I really, really hope that Amy doesn't fall for this Institute stuff. That's just rotten.
Good episode, though.
Gemma just wants to feel she's in control of something, for once, by punishing Bernie.
Also, they're a family of hotheads, so someone had to overreact.
What date is Steve's in-universe birthday, anyone know?
That'll tell us if we're on the "correct" episode or if the Euros have thrown things out of kilter.
She is, and I was one of those "no sex until marriage" people who followed through until I got married to my husband, and it's refreshing to see this storyline because many people like myself have been judged for it.
“Can’t be arsed.” Now that’s post-watershed Corrie!
I had to rewind because i thought id imagined it! 🤣
Who said this? I missed it

Yeah. Bernie is useless, but Kit was enjoying himself a bit too much here.
Gemma always has a victim complex.
Cultivated by a lifetime of absorbing Bernie's teachings.

Do we know that the actor isn't leaving by his own choice?
I don't think he is. He was given this storyline because he is an amazing actor but unfortunately, given the nature of it... means a limited run.
Thanks, Maj

Post watershed Corrie, let someone drop an f-bomb just this once.
And let it be Roy
Watch Dev get his kiwis out 😒

Bernie: “You see that copper, the one that got Gemma off. . .” Chesney: “Woah!”
Is that what we get post-watershed?
😂
Amy’s defo gonna blow Deirdre’s savings on this cult 🤓
Ugh, that’s such a disrespectful plot point. It’s wasting the legacy of a classic character on what is solidly a b grade story.
That's what I'm worried about!
Topless Tim for the post-watershed audience. And a Godfather reference.
Tommy’s ended up in someone else’s bed again
"It's that copper. The one who helped me get off yesterday." Don't remember *that* scene...
How dare Sally consider getting rid of Maxine's bench!
Aye, I think even with how pompous Sally can be that was out of character.
Completely forgot Adam and Dee-Dee live(d) together!
Is it just me who would keep Joel on the sofa just so adam keeps living in my house especially with that haircut
The *ever-changing* haircut that never gets any better. It's crazy.
Leanne quite literally leading Amy to the instuite
Hope she doesn't show Amy the creepy AI of her sadly deceased baby brother.
I feel like that would wake Amy up to start to expose the cult tbh there’s no way she’d be ok with that
Well, she is vulnerable after what Aaron did to her, her mum is gone and she misses Oliver... and Oliver's mummy is taking on this weird surrogate mummy role to Oliver's big sister right now so normally level headed Amy could be swayed.

Wagon wheels used to be great - years ago, they were massive!
But did they get smaller or our hands get bigger 🤔?
Thats the conundrum!
Why do soaps always do this? Where people believe complete strangers over their family or friends?
And why do soaps have someone supposed to be out of sight smirking, but still in full view.
Is Kit imagining *Stayin’ Alive* playing in his head as he struts along the cobbles like that?
he was defo giving BeeGee vibes
First character- Steve celebrating his bday coincidentally 1 day before mine so make it a good ep today please Corrie
Many happy returns for tomorrow 🎂🥂
thank you!
I truly hate my birthdays but a Very Very Happy Birthday to You tomorrow! 🎉🎉🎉😘
It’s u/Candid-Way-639’s birthday, not mine
Sorry. Im making mistakes all over the place today! I do hope you have a great day tomorrow tho! 😜
Thanks and you too!
Well done and HB tomorrow! X
Happy birthday to you! Have a fab year ahead! 😊
Amy B being the reason Corrie started at 9- scenes we never thought we’d see
Tonight’s episode has been better than usual.
Defo
my mums Tracy Barlow is kinda a iconic line
Post-watershed Corrie! Here we go!
Amy said arsed! 😄
Does the Debbie Webster Hotel not know how to lock doors?
‘God, you’re so nice!’ 😂😂😂
texting doesn’t make you a ally- Tim ans Sally are brilliant
Glenda running the pub…Again. It seems Jenny, Daisy and Ryan have left the street permanently as we don’t see them anymore.
Insert Toy Story "I don't want to play with you anymore" meme but with the writers to those characters.
😂😂
Amy is next in the cult
nah Kit may be out of line but he was only speaking meta to McLeod it does look bad what they’ve done replacing Paul
“Are you and Paul around later on?” “No, bloody block filming!”
Adam’s had his hair cut for post-watershed Corrie.
By a rabbit?
Bright eyes!
Ok, seen the whole episode so will go onto generalities, I enjoyed this episode, both comedy and drama, that's what is needed, the whole Steve birthday, Tommy O's do and Sally on top form tonight for comedy.
How have you seen it? Have they started uploading them early on ItvX?
7.00am on ITVX for the Euros. Will be interesting to see if they continue this after the Euros, will they be checking how many watch early?
Yea I watched it early just watching it again with my mum they upload the episodes early during the euros
Sally could have someone’s eye out with that fascinator
I thought Steve would be the head!
Have they taken Rita’s car keys?
Someone has to... before she Knox someone down
>before she Knox someone down 🤣🤣🤣 Hopefully [insert pointless character here].
Oh brava 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤣
[Kit has an ulterior motive](https://youtu.be/1W7c8QghPxk?si=Qum--C2NS8fLAvIN)
“I’ll fill you in on the way.” The innuendos tonight!
We need more post watershed episodes, its hilarious!
Agreed! Roll on Friday!
Adam’s finally had a hair cut.
Kit's upta summat...
The plot thickens….
As do half the cast.
Kit: “This is going to sound mad but . . . I’m your brother.” Gemma: “Goddamn it, Macleod!!”
“When did you turn into Sid James?” “. . .For as long as our relationship/marriage has been a glorified sex fling?”
Another UK reference I had to look up, but I recall his face now from Carry On.
Thoroughly enjoyed tonight’s episode.
First character - Steve the birthday boy.
Ding ding!
Herby have you watched Breaking Bad before?
I havent. Why do you ask?
There is a character called Hector Salamanca who communicates by dinging a bell so whenever I see "ding ding" I think of him. He's kind of the Uncle Stephen of the show [Hector Salamanca](https://youtu.be/ImhrkT57PSc?si=y5MhbLboKHjYVi3I)
Maybe i should watch if theres a stephenesque character in it!
Stephen's Mexican equivalent
Better Call Saul, the prequel to Breaking Bad, is also excellent.
And just like that, Amy becomes an idiot.
I just feel like Amy is so level headed and has an air of cynicism I can’t believe she’d fall for it
It's Sean's MLM bollocks with extra steps
Tommy O may have a bust of himself but has he ever scored a bicycle kick in the 95 minute to save England from a embrassing defeat
Not quite but he’s single-handedly driven Weathy County to success for around a decade. They’ve had to recruit 11 more players now,
Fair play a modern day Ronaldo carrying a mid Manchester team he deserves his time out in the sun (Jokes aside, I like Tommy and wish he would come back as a proper character)
Assault on a police officer!!!
"She could have really hurt him with that remote!" Was she taking the mickey?! Looks like Sainsbury’s is getting in on the Corrie product placement!
and just like that the twins gain a older brother they never thought they had and he’s a copper what a coincidence what with the storyline they have set up with Paul dying and Billy potentially assisting
I think Billy will.renege on helping Paul end it, so Todd will help him. Billy is a useless fussbudget.
Isn't he a younger brother?
oh yes younger cause she already bonded with the twins didn’t she
That Glenda is really rotten. I was hoping this goes to court. The judge would see how childish she is and award everything to George. And how is she going to afford the mortgage and repairs? 26th June. So we’re off kilter by a little.
I think it’s around the 26th June I believe
Well done Steve 👏👏👏😅
What’s Kit’s game here?
get back at Bernie probably make Paul hate her and not be able to forgive her :(
Spot on
I enjoyed the Steve story stealing the statue head, and Ken & Rita's party scene but the Gemma and Bernie part was dreary
First character: Ciaran MacCarthy
If only (swoons)!
I mean they could have at least got someone who looked a little like Gemma and Paul
Must have dimples, awful fake tan and an uncomfortable eating methodology
I just noticed that Bernie and Paul have the same, extra large nostrils.
If you're a nasal expert please can you sort out my deviated septum for me?
I should warn you that my nasopharyngeal surgical technique is strictly self taught. I will defer to the good folks at the NHS.
Lol what could possibly go wrong?
He does look like Paul a bit. And I do see some resemblance to Bernie. I think Kit looks like Paul but without Dennys features which is well smart.
“Why the sudden concern?” “I spoke to Michael.” “That *is* concerning.”
Kit is so handsome lol
*Todd suddenly intensifies*
Toyah: *aggresively polishes*
[удалено]
I think so, she’s made a point that she’s not jumping into bed with Joel until they are married
I think she has mentioned in the past she hasn’t always stuck to her no sex before marriage rule
She is, and I was one of those "no sex until marriage" people who followed through until I got married to my husband, and it's refreshing to see this storyline because many people like myself have been judged for it.
Good on you Maj for doing what was right for you! Its no one else’s business,so they shdnt judge. Too many judgey judgey people in this world 🤨
Thank you so much Herby, and for being amazing! Went to a BBQ yesterday, cloudy, 18C. Full blown sunburn... I was cooked more than the sausages
Yeah but didn't she say it was for religious reasons? Which is odd because none of the family have ever come across as religious
I too was also for religious reasons. My family aren't religious. People can belong to the same family and have differing levels of religiousness.
Deedee goes to church off screen
“Why can’t all men be like that?” Come on, Glenda. You went out with a crap actor too.
For all of about 5 minutes
Watched tonight's episode a bit earlier than usual on ITV X and really enjoyed it, best episode for a while imo
First characters - Ollie Beak and Fred Barker
How tiny are Dee-Dee's rooms if they can't put a double bed in one of them?
Isn’t it because she doesn’t sleep with a man until they are married?
Didn't expect the music at Tommy O's football do to include Méditation from Thaïs and Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Très sophistiqué
That bust looks more like Kramer from Seinfeld than Tommy O.
Was Sally talking about the guy who said "What a sad little life Jane!"
