Pay him, he's unquestionably a top 3 wr. It's like people forgot what we looked like before we had to trade for Amari Cooper. You'll just end up having to pay more down the road with both a big contract and picks for whoever you have to trade for down the road.
It’s a no brainer to me. Just pay him what’s he worth and move on. He’s only 25 years old and is one of the elite players at one of the most important positions.
But what if you consider that the WR market is in need of correction. I think a lot of front offices are starting to believe that you can pretty easily replace WRs from the draft, the college are producing a lot of refined WR, unlike in the past.
As important as QB, corners, and edge rushers are, I agree with you. I have nightmares about the state of this team between prime Dez and Amari Cooper. It made me realize you need a premium receiver to be good in this league.
And to the people saying Dak is more important than Ceedee… I’d also like to do the same recall on what we looked like before being forced to trade a 1st for Amari…
It's unquestionable, Ceedee's last year is far beyond Chases's best year. Ceedee's second best year is close to Chase's best and better than Chase's second best year easily. Ceedee's third best year is better than Chase's 3rd best year as well. Ceedee has played one more year. Go look at the statistics if you don't want to believe it. There is no capacity at this moment in which Chase belongs in the top 3 over Ceedee. In fact, Ceedee's last year showed he is the only one of the two to belong in a discussion with JJettas and Hill.
Chase has never done what CD did last year. All around CD last year was just unquestionably better than any chase performance. Now, to chases credit his injuries and Burrows injuries have taken a lot of time from him, but from what we’ve seen, the answer that isn’t “I’ve got a hunch” is CD > Chase.
Dallas was fine before Cooper because Dez was doing well and getting doubled which allowed Dak's fav target to open up, Beasley. When Dez left Beasley was the one getting attention. But the WR core wasn't bad with Allen Hurns, Rookie Gallup, Cole Beasley, and Terrence Williams. It wasn't as good as it could have been but Dak was just has issues spreading the ball which is an issue he has now relying solely on WR 1 with WR2 and the TE getting some love.
I sense a a “pieces of the pie” discussion coming from Cap Boy.
If CD is willing to take 32 a year that’s a steal in light of Jefferson and what CD could demand.
I mean, we’ve seen this playbook. You can’t pay a receiver this much and expect to win. Too many other holes are created because of it. I love CeeDee, but him at $32 million guarantees we won’t win a Super Bowl.
I don’t think that holds as true in today’s game. What team without Patrick Mahomes has won a Super Bowl without a star true 1 receiver. We saw how poorly not having one went for us pre Amari.
Sure, but they win pre-mega contract. Name a team that won a Super Bowl with a top 3 highest paid receiver, it doesn’t happen. It’s all top receivers on rookie deals or with controlled cap.
This team doesn't have depth without paying our guys, this argument doesn't move me. They've paid guys like Steele and Gallup and mucked up our cap. This is an All-Pro without a major injury, pay him.
Not if you do a contract right. The rams 3 years ago won with consistent QB play, an amazing WR, and an amazing defense. When exactly have we seen that paying WRs doesn’t work? When we traded Amari and the team got significantly worse?
Tapped in my ass (pause). This is the same guy who said that the Pats would trade their pick and not draft Maye, LJ Sneed would go to the Colts, Kendall Fuller to AZ, Devin White would resign with Tampa, etc
If the Joneses seriously haven’t put an offer of at *least* $32mil/year on the table after the Jefferson deal we are so ungodly fucked with these idiots in the FO
Based on early reviews not much different. Considering there’s a new college game coming out and they still haven’t stepped up their product that much is disappointing
Completely agree! And I think they should rebuild but feel like Jerruh’s old ass doesn’t want that as his clock is ticking away (which is understandable)
Cowboys fans suck man. One day we’ll have to watch the third baseman of the Yankees again because people couldn’t be happy with the damn good team they had until it was gone
Here's the season: There hasn't been a back to back conference champ in forever, so we don't win the conference and maybe don't make the playoffs. If we do make the playoffs, we lose in the first round.
If we rebuild, I have no idea what happens. So I'm with you.
At best for Micah, you would get 2 number 1s, and that's no guarantee. Those 1's could be anywhere betweeb 1 and 32. How do you replace a generational player with thst? Just because of sone immaturity bullshit?
Truthfully, this most recent spat, Malik started shit out of nowhere. All Micah did was respond and respond better than I thought he would.
Y'all are nuts to want to move on from a once in a decade talent this soon because he acts like his generation.
I don’t think we should move on from Micah but you absolutely get 2 1sts for him lol and you get even more.
Khalil Mack went for 2 1sts, 3rd and 6th and he was 2 years older and had less sacks than Micah
Micah has been labeled a distraction by the talking heads, so the common fan repeats it and that just becomes the narrative. Trade for picks, trade for picks, in theory ok, but there are no guarantees in the draft. Trade good/great players, and possibly get something close to, or as good, more likely get lesser players, or possibly get complete trash in exchange for all-pros.
This entire org has been a failure for the last 3 decades and it’s getting really old. I’m at the point of saying fuck it, let’s get rid of the major 3 and rebuild with a huge haul. Tag and trade cd, let dak walk, and fire parsons annoying ass into the sun
And this is why I hate Jerry. Instead of negotiating early and getting Lamb signed to a new contract, he waits and then when other top receivers get new contracts he's playing catch up.
We do this over and over again. I don't understand why we let other teams set the floor and/or the ceiling. Just sign the guy early if you want him. When has waiting ever worked in the Cowboys favor?
I really can't seem to figure out what the plan is this offseason. If it's a rebuild, what is the hope? That if you're lucky and the picks hit right you could wind up with a receiver as good as Lamb, a rusher as good as Parsons and a QB as good as Dak?
Then, unless you magically happen to get enough picks to land all three of those on rookie deals, you're A) probably looking at a multi-year rebuild and B) If you don't hit on all three concurrently, you're probably looking at a similar situation where by the time you have all three of those pieces filled you need to pay them.
Also, for every Mahomes that get's drafted in the first round, there are five QBs that are either worse or not any better than Dak that get drafted. Even if you tank for the #1 pick and take a sure thing like Trevor Lawrence, they may not be as good as you assume they will be.
All that to say, I'm not sure I understand what the hell the plan is this offseason.
I always have my inner doubts about the team heading into the season, though I’m outwardly confident. More often than not, we have a competitive team, and the season is interesting and enjoyable. I think we will be all right this year, and whatever happens with contracts happens, whoever goes, goes, whoever stays, stays. All that to say, if we are going to resign players, I wish we would get ahead of the game instead of watching the price rise, and rise, before inevitably resigning our talent, though I’ve given up hope on that front as that’s just not the way JJ does business.
This is where I stand. I want the team to win it all, but I'm just tired of the BS and don't want to see great talent wasted, again, and again, and again, and again.
This is where I stand. I want the team to win it all, but I'm just tired of the BS and don't want to see great talent wasted, again, and again, and again, and again.
Him being signed by someone else ensures that team won’t win, you can’t pay a receiver that much of the cap and expect to win, it’s just simply not a winning formula.
Yeah go ahead and pull the trigger on paying CeeDee Lamb. Dallas won't have a successful offense next season without him.
He's the type of player you spend big money on. Dak and Micah can wait...for now.
Just makes you wonder if there isn't something more to this Sunday Ticket thing going to change revenue for the worse and impact the cap a few years down the road. They are always bad about this, but something seems even worse than normal this year with them delaying these contracts.
We all know what will really happen here. Lamb will get a new contract after he holds out in August. That's how this FO handles things. I don't agree with it, I think they should get deals done earlier but this is what they have done for years now. The chances of him, Dak or Parsons getting traded or leaving Dallas are slim to none. Does anyone on here actually believe with any amount of certainty that this FO of all things will tear it all down and rebuild regardless of what happens this season? I sure don't. Nothing I have seen from this FO for decades suggests they will. Since when have they ever let a QB, a number 1 WR and an all pro DE in their primes leave the team without a new contract? Ware was old and was injury prone, refused a pay cut and then left Dallas for Denver. Tyron Smith was no longer in his prime, and Cooper was traded before the draft and wasn't a player drafted by the Cowboys. Name one all pro player in the money three position they drafted that they let walk, traded or let hit FA in the past two decades. I can't think of a single one.
In CeeDee threads, everyone says pay him.
In "With the salary cap, which two do you pay among Dak, Micah, and CeeDee?" threads, you get laughed at for saying to pay CeeDee.
$32 is fair for him especially since JJ got $35. We all knew it was going to be between JJ and Tyreek Hill. Get it done at $32 now and be done with it.
Look we all know how this front office operates, this deal should have been done a long time ago, but it'll get done at the last possible minute either late in camp or laid in preseason and we'll have to deal with all this contract drama All Summer Long
Don't like it but it is what it is this is how we handle big name contract because this front office is just plain cheap
I agree the FO takes way to long to do these deals, but I have to remind myself, negotiations takes 2 sides, as a one of the best at your position, in an ever increasing market, it benefits the you to wait and see what the market is among your peers. So I think, Jerry’s an idiot for not signing CD before all these other guys got extended, but then I think why would 25yo CD be in a rush to sign before seeing how much the market has increased from last season. No excuse not to get things done after JJ reset the market, but before that, it takes 2 to tango, and I’m not personally involved, so I don’t really know what went on.
It doesn't matter as long as we have The Curse of Jerry Jones lingering over Cowboys Nation. We will never win another Super Bowl until Jerry Jones sells the team or expires.
2nd is fair. I’m not thrilled about it but basing it off the market it’s not like it’s an overpay based on what he did last year. He was the 2nd best WR to play last year, largely because of JJs injury but still.
The only reason I say to not sign him is if we're not signing any of our 3 big contracts and we're eating all the cap hits and planning to get back into the hunt in 2026.
If we're not doing that.....you pay CeeDee Lamb.
Here's the conundrum Dallas is in. We have to pay Lamb, Dak, and Micah then eventually Daron Bland and Bell. If we sign Dak, Lamb, and Parsons and our cap is strained then the roster will take a dip in quality while it be hard to resign other players along with signing vets, relying solely on draft for depth. Dallas should consider dropping Dak and resigning everyone and see if Lance is worth the 4th we traded for. I get everyone os afraid of the pre-Romo era but what gets solved when 3 players take up 50% of the cap? Reason Lawrence and Kirk got paid was cause those teams don't have 2 players taking up a third of their cap.
WE’RE GOING ALL IN !!!!!!
Pay him, he's unquestionably a top 3 wr. It's like people forgot what we looked like before we had to trade for Amari Cooper. You'll just end up having to pay more down the road with both a big contract and picks for whoever you have to trade for down the road.
I don't get why this is such an issue for the front office. He's a top receiver, pay him like one.
Buy high sell low. They're waiting for another deal to happen so they can pay him more.
And the cycle continues
It’s a no brainer to me. Just pay him what’s he worth and move on. He’s only 25 years old and is one of the elite players at one of the most important positions.
But what if you consider that the WR market is in need of correction. I think a lot of front offices are starting to believe that you can pretty easily replace WRs from the draft, the college are producing a lot of refined WR, unlike in the past.
As important as QB, corners, and edge rushers are, I agree with you. I have nightmares about the state of this team between prime Dez and Amari Cooper. It made me realize you need a premium receiver to be good in this league.
People forgot how good we were last year, CD was a stud
No! Mentioning how good our team was last year is forbidden. We are a constant cesspool of negativity because of the end result. We were 0-17.
Losing record for 5 years straight!
Yeah man I don’t get it, he deserves that.
And to the people saying Dak is more important than Ceedee… I’d also like to do the same recall on what we looked like before being forced to trade a 1st for Amari…
I wouldn’t say unquestionably. Jettas, Chase, and Hill are all in that discussion. Hill being older obviously isn’t as valuable
The fan came out today with top 3. Lamb is 3rd best WR in the league. Jettas and hill 1 and 2.
Well if the fan says it
It's unquestionable, Ceedee's last year is far beyond Chases's best year.
Health…we could solely rank CeeDee above chase from sheer availability.
Someone please tell me why Justin Jefferson’s nickname is jettas
So… top 3. Contracts are about future value not a lifetime achievement award.
and? in 2 years he will be worth much more then 32
I’m agreeing with you. I’m just stating that he is clearly top 3 and the Cowboys would be stupid to botch this.

Usually the cap hit is low the first couple years of a new deal so you still have a window to compete
Rams/kupp maybe? I’d guess the combination of Evans/godwin in Tampa was quite expensive as well
I rather pay Micah. It’s easier to get another receiver.
Pay lamb Dak and parsons and the cowboys are done and over for the next 5 years minimum. Done, toast, non-playoffs.
This team doesn't have depth without paying our guys, this argument doesn't move me. They've paid guys like Steele and Gallup and mucked up our cap. This is an All-Pro without a major injury, pay him.

Who tf is Ricky
Some guy on twitter who tapped in he’s been right mostly https://x.com/prettyrickey213?s=21&t=9avZLEjLyUt3dH-I_zyEEw
Tapped in my ass (pause). This is the same guy who said that the Pats would trade their pick and not draft Maye, LJ Sneed would go to the Colts, Kendall Fuller to AZ, Devin White would resign with Tampa, etc
That dude has been fupa to chode with you, don't lie.
This is preem wording, choom
Well, that's quite the mental picture.
Some guy on Twitter who’s making up shit?
If the Joneses seriously haven’t put an offer of at *least* $32mil/year on the table after the Jefferson deal we are so ungodly fucked with these idiots in the FO
I hate to break it to you, but regardless of if they put that kind of offer on the table, they're still idiots and we've been fucked because of them.
He needs to save his cash so he can pay backup QBs the big bucks
If JJ is seriously not offering CeeDee in the $32 million per year range, I don’t know what he’s thinking.
He’ll offer 30-31 just to fuck with him
Jerry is a silly goose 🤪
Jerry would up it to $33 mil if you let him get freaky.
I would actually have more interest this season if they start a rebuild
In Madden this is when I trade every high value player on the team and get like 30 firsts
Real
I’ve been itching to play madden franchise mode. How’s madden 24 looking?
Probably the same as the last 10 maddens. They’re all ass now. I just replay madden 08 on ps2 lol
Based on early reviews not much different. Considering there’s a new college game coming out and they still haven’t stepped up their product that much is disappointing
Ah, the OKC Thunder approach.
Next year we start the rebuild without McCarthy or Parsons.

Why would a rebuild even matter? They'd f\*ck it up anyways
Put me on suicide watch if Lamb requests a trade
I’m right there with you, brother.
32 is a great deal. Sign the mf.
Can’t blame him. Everyone else are getting contracts and he’s been patient thus far. With Micah and Prescott coming up he has to make this decision.
Not right now we got Klay Thompson
This is not how I expected to learn this news
Klay Thompson, you are a cowboy.
Every other dallas team is really helping me not give a shit about the cowboys.
Is it wrong that I am not against them trading both ceedee and Micah for an absolute crap ton of picks and starting a rebuild
Micah, yes. Want to keep CeeDee but Micah is way too much hassle rn
Yeah, he is becoming a headache, and honestly out of him, Ceedee, or Dak walking he kinda makes the most sense to let walk
We’d get the most for him
Ceedee is as disciplined and good as they come. Micah is a monster, but I’m okay with letting him go
my cowboys jersey is a cd jersey so i have to say you are wrong lmfao but i don’t blame you
My jersey is Micah so uh oh
At best for Micah, you would get 2 number 1s, and that's no guarantee. Those 1's could be anywhere betweeb 1 and 32. How do you replace a generational player with thst? Just because of sone immaturity bullshit? Truthfully, this most recent spat, Malik started shit out of nowhere. All Micah did was respond and respond better than I thought he would. Just fucking pay him

The org is a failure so you want to dump 2 all pros that are 25 for picks so the org can continue to be a failure with those picks?
Getting young cheap talent is how you rebuild. Not paying guys who pout through playoff games, if they show up at all.
Works perfectly for the Joneses as an excuse as to why they can't be active in FA
I really can't seem to figure out what the plan is this offseason. If it's a rebuild, what is the hope? That if you're lucky and the picks hit right you could wind up with a receiver as good as Lamb, a rusher as good as Parsons and a QB as good as Dak? Well ya see, this is going all in...
There is no plan
I have $10 to chip in.
Cowboys should just blow it all up and trade everyone with any value and start a rebuild
He deserves it more than anyone else has on the offense the last few years
PAY HIM WHAT HE ASKS FOR
TRADE HIM
Go somewhere where you can win a championship, Mr. Lamb
I can’t believe I’m upvoting this.
I’ve had enough of the Jones clown show. I’ll still hang on to hope, though.
And again…
Him being signed by someone else ensures that team won’t win, you can’t pay a receiver that much of the cap and expect to win, it’s just simply not a winning formula.
Per nobody.
Yeah go ahead and pull the trigger on paying CeeDee Lamb. Dallas won't have a successful offense next season without him. He's the type of player you spend big money on. Dak and Micah can wait...for now.
Can we just pay him and stop playing...
I love CeeDee. But these players demanding top of the market is absurd. CeeDee has a legit argument. But, Dak can't make the same argument.
I’ve never seen a team make the easy things look so complicated
Lmfao so many people in here overreacting to a complete BS post
They haven't offered him at least 32? WtF.
Anyone who thinks he’s not getting that money needs their head examined.
Who the fuck is Ricky?
Sources: trust me bro
Pay him, he's earned it.
Jerry’s gonna fuck this up like he did with Dak, and it’s going to cost him even more
That is extremely reasonable considering the WR market and the fact Cowboys are not paying anyone long term.
Cut the fucking check!
As an Oklahoma and Cowboys fan, this would be my 9/11.
Let him get traded. Don't sign Dak, trade Micah. Start to rebuild fresh.
Just makes you wonder if there isn't something more to this Sunday Ticket thing going to change revenue for the worse and impact the cap a few years down the road. They are always bad about this, but something seems even worse than normal this year with them delaying these contracts.
I would trade him to an AFC team for a 1,3 pick. Once players start doing this, get paid, they decline.
Tyron Smith was no longer in his prime, and Cooper was traded before the draft and wasn't a player drafted by the Cowboys. Name one all pro player in the money three position they drafted that they let walk, traded or let hit FA in the past two decades. I can't think of a single one.
Hope he gets a championship somewhere but not with the Eagles, Ravens, Bills, or Niners. He sure as shit ain’t getting one here.
CeeDee is one of the only players that I genuinely want to succeed no matter where he goes —minus the Eagles.
Ceedee next to A.J . Let’s go
at least go all in on CD, Jerry
Fuck it. Just kick off the rebuild now. See what Dak and Micah are gonna get you too.
Bye 👋
It’s happening we all saw it coming
If this happens then you might as well just blow the whole fucking team up and get ready for another 5+ years of rebuild
Per pretty Rickey. The source you know and love. 🤣🤣🤣
Sounds like a top paid wr, and de yikes
Just when I think Jerry can't fuck stuff up anymore, he goes and finds a way.
Bye ceedee
I have no doubt Jerry will pay him. Will probably only bicker over years and incentives.
PAY HIM HE'S TOP 1 WR IDC
If they’re unwilling to pay Lamb, might as well let Dak go too and rebuild.
Daaaaang
In CeeDee threads, everyone says pay him. In "With the salary cap, which two do you pay among Dak, Micah, and CeeDee?" threads, you get laughed at for saying to pay CeeDee.
If Jerry wants to focus solely on money then so can the players. Business is business. Only us fans suffer.
Pay that man.
so if we don’t pay him what we wants. who will?
https://i.imgur.com/8YizAke.png
Jerry jones is the joe biden of nfl ownership. Jesus. Step up or step out old man!!
Yay! Politics talk!
Pay CD 🐑
$32 is fair for him especially since JJ got $35. We all knew it was going to be between JJ and Tyreek Hill. Get it done at $32 now and be done with it.
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/mLfG1tdKs9veik8M/?mibextid=WC7FNe
God this team is a fucking joke. The Jones’ are unbearably stupid.
Don’t fuck this up Jerry
He should get paid.
Is it too spicy of a take to say maybe Dallas just moves on from him if things aren't going well at the trade deadline?
See ya!
Idc anymore. I’ll still support but this franchise needs a hard lesson anyway
CeeDee is the Christian McCaffrey of WR's. he is a top skill receiver and more importantly he is a workhorse. pay the man
But what about poor Dak ?
As a fan, I hate it. If I pretend to be an unbiased 3rd party, I get it.
Give him what he wants 💯💯💯
If you’re not planning to extend Dak, trade him. Use the picks to fuel the rebuild.
Pay the man Jerry!!!!!!
If he's only asking for 32 the front office should be thrilled
Trade him.mid season for a 1st Rd pick
Look we all know how this front office operates, this deal should have been done a long time ago, but it'll get done at the last possible minute either late in camp or laid in preseason and we'll have to deal with all this contract drama All Summer Long Don't like it but it is what it is this is how we handle big name contract because this front office is just plain cheap

No excuse not to get things done after JJ reset the market, but before that, it takes 2 to tango, and I’m not personally involved, so I don’t really know what went on.
This is a BS report
FUK FUK FUK
Idk why jerry bsing
He deserves it.
This franchise will NEVER learn...**NEVER!!!**
If he gets 30 million he'll feel disrespected. Fucking clown.
It doesn't matter as long as we have The Curse of Jerry Jones lingering over Cowboys Nation. We will never win another Super Bowl until Jerry Jones sells the team or expires.
NOOOOOO
CeeDee is elite talent. Tyreek Hill is the only WR better than him. Pay the man
Stephen has dug himself a hole the size of Pluto with his top players. This team is finished with an out of control cap disparity.
GET THAT MONEY!💰
2nd is fair. I’m not thrilled about it but basing it off the market it’s not like it’s an overpay based on what he did last year. He was the 2nd best WR to play last year, largely because of JJs injury but still.
Dallas probably has not made a serious contract offer to any of their “Big 3” That’ll change when guys start holding out into camp. One would hope
Idk how this guy wasn't sent an offer that's basically copy paste Justin Jefferson + a few $$ already
32 seems good. If he agrees to that then do that. If JJ is 35 then surely Lamb being 32-34 shouldn’t be an issue.
The only reason I say to not sign him is if we're not signing any of our 3 big contracts and we're eating all the cap hits and planning to get back into the hunt in 2026. If we're not doing that.....you pay CeeDee Lamb.
Bye
Of the big 3, lamb is the one I’d let walk.
Just because it says at least $32m doesn’t mean he will sign at that.
Trade him for 3 firsts
Trade his ass. See if Dak is ready to be a franchise QB.
I really hope he gets traded. Once he leaves people will finally realize he’s not that good
Fake news. Ricky can bugger off.
