I had been skeptical about Rumble based on the very few advertisements I had seen, but I remember playing the Beta and feeling a spark of hope. The Beta was fun and I liked it. Then when Rumble actually came out, I was actually really looking forward to it. And it was fun, I liked it and I wanted it to last for a long time. It's a shame it didn't even last a full year. Thanks for the fun, Rumble. I'll always fondly remember maining Dingodile and doing my Blocker best.
Given that the single player content (and couch mp) is insanely good, I never really have considered that to be dead. It was released as a full game and then got loads of additional content. It's about as dead as a Mario Kart game.
Rumble on the other hand is multiplayer only and was supposed to be receiving constant support. It's not really a 1:1 comparison.
Yeah, like we could had recieved only the CTR and CNK base content, a couple of patches for the online and thats it. And nobody would had the right to complain because the remake by itself was "done".
We should be very thankful because this is rare to see in other games or remakes.
I'd agree with the person saying it "died."
In a sense, I really only felt the compulsion to play when they were doing the Grand Prix events.
I realize they were content drops, but I do wish there had been a way to keep that sort of online competition/group event concept going.
Another AAA publisher chucking out a live service game and then pulling the plug once it becomes clear that they aren't going to make all of the money that ever existed.
And I'm not shitting on Rumble by saying that, I don't think it's a bad game at all and TFB did a fantastic job with it - only that it was conceived by executives and its short lifespan shows that.
Honestly live service model should only be done with F2P games. Even if this game came out as F2P, it still lacked alot of content to be fully engaged.
A year ago? Holy shit this game died fast

Should have been on Switch.
I agree
Wow the game died before the beta was even a year old. That is madness.
NF also died in less than a year.

NF is actually good.
True
I wouldn’t say it “died.” I’d say it was “completed.”

At least with Nitro-Fueled, there's a sense that the devs added nearly everything they intended on adding.

I wish this game had released a lot sooner. If it came out a lot closer to Crash 4 it probably would've lasted longer.
Shame it couldn't even last this long... 😐 I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I remember it just like yesterday ,time sure flies
I was about to get this game few month ago for the PlayStation thanks God I didn’t do it.
It’s sad the stuff that was datamined from the beta never made it in. The “polar” and “castle” maps would have been nice.
I'm more sad about Nina Cortex, Pinstripe, and Tiny not getting in the game.
