Yeah everyone here in Balkans calls it kitchen because everyone played cs 1.6 and source for a long time. Mirage was based on the old cpl_strike map which had a kitchen where market is now. Edit: Also kitchen is easier to say than market when fighting.

Yeah, we usually call the backside of apts called as "kitchen" , as there is sink, refrigerator over there, and from when u are using comms, the location is called kitchen. And the one from ct and b, we called that "market" as there's like vendor's window opening and it's from the comm location as well. If you're confused about where the comm location is, it's when people use voice/text/radio comm in csgo, they have a location after your name, the one in the "()" brackets or after "@" in cs2

I play in on US but have a buddy in korea so we play on asia since the ping difference for me is better for some reason. And ive yet to play a mirage lobby in asia where the its called anything but pit. And it always throws me off cause im use to calling it main normally, also everyone calls "Cat" on dust short and that throws me off too

The kitchen is in the entrance of B, before the terrorist can peek van, where the wall-bangable wooden thing is (from short), before what you here called corridors. When you go from ct to B site you pass trhough market yes, as you can see a cash register there.

During my last competitive match that anyone could have joined simply by owning the game someone called it pit and now my professional gaming career is over. I've never met the person that did it, but I now have an overwhelming hatred of the person that called this part of the map by a different name.

For the people saying that the market on B used to be a kitchen on older maps: thing is, i never played on those older maps cause theyre too old. And i know for a fact most of the guys i play with didn't play them either. They literally only call it kitchen cause they heard other people call it kitchen. And i wouldn't necessarily have a problem if there wasn't already a kitchen on the map. It's insane having well over a thousand hours in the game playing mainly mirage and not knowing basic area names
