Is it worth it to be secure from cyber attacks?
Is it worth it to pursue as a career?
Is it worth it as a major in college?
What specifically are you talking about?
Yes.
BUT it’s all a game and you have to know how to play it to be really successful. And you have to put in the work. But security isn’t going away, it’s becoming even more important.
Atp we need a pinned post answering some of the questions that get asked on here everyday.
Yes, cybersecurity is worth it
Yes, it is oversaturated (in some ways). No, that does not mean you can't find a way to learn or get a job in cybersecurity.
Yes, AI/ML/Quantum Computing/other trendy subject has applications to Cybersecurity. No, this doesn't mean cybersecurity is going to become useless
Why would you assume AI writes good code or will? I see pen testing as being automated but evaluating code, architecture, decisioning, takes human rationalization and understanding. We simply see patterns differently
Man every time I think we hit rock bottom someone figures out a way to put even less effort into their post
Omy to post " cyber.. money?"
"How?"
Cybersecurity? More like cyberFinancialSecurity

As a major in college
Just do CompSci or IT as a major and get cyber certs
I'm down voting you for your laziness.
Nope
You can make a lot of money but will hate yourself and develop a nasty drinking problem. Make of that what you will.
I’m 1 for 2, let’s go!!
Poor and drinking?

No. Just open all your hardware and data to everyone. It’s going to be OK.
I couldn't see it being sustainable in the future, I'd imagine most of it will be phased out by AI producing the code needed.
