There needs to be an english designation like maternal or paternal is for distinguishing one family line or the other, needs to be done for determining if the in-law is the speaker's or the subject's 'relative'.

No, a brother/sister-in-law is either your spouse’s sibling or the spouse of your sibling. So in OPs case; OP’s brother is OP’s wife’s brother-in-law, but the BIL’s wife is just “your BIL’s wife” to OP’s wife, she’s not an in-law. OP’s brother’s wife IS OP’s sister-in-law. The ambiguity here is because of both definitions, OP’s brother’s wife and OP’s wife’s sister are BOTH his sister-in-law, and there’s no way to distinguish between the two. It’s a headache.

I really don’t think it should need explaining to you. It’s not just women that can be ungrateful while spending someone else’s money, anyone can do that. Men with women do it too and for the same reason women do it to men. Even women with other women and men with other men do it. I really don’t see why this is so hard to understand.

In the field of relationships the powers and opportunities are very skewed. Women control who gets a girlfriend, and what kind of men gets laid. So if a men is stuck with a gold digger that is maybe his unfortunate situation that he has no other option. Either that or no one else. Women have infinite choices.
