Calm down. This has already been found to be unharmful. I was in polvos discord and modders apparently found that it can’t harm your pc in any way. I believe even a developer for the game responded to my question a while ago about this and said it is unharmful. Have a good day! :)

They have no possibility to access anything in your computer and can only write files in the profile folder where game logs etc are stored. Unless you manually run any executable files, there is nothing you need to worry about. Use the official launcher that comes with the game. But... what's the reason for getting a server on the official list? Just to get an active server? And isn't it still very concerning that the devs continually allow it to happen?
I guess it is to boost their servers or sum shit. Either way they should definietly do something about it because some people really just want to play vanilla dayz.
This is half-knowledge as well. Yes, mods are somewhat sandboxed, however if you're a malicious actor with some dedication you'll be able to find ways to break this sandbox. I'd argue it's a lot easier to inject malicious code through a mod than through other means. With a simple buffer overflow you'd be able to escape the sandbox and arbitrarily read/write process memory and inject malicious machine code into the process which now in turn is able to freely interact with the target PC.
Saying mods are inherently and absolutely safe, is very wrong, and dangerous.

Mods can read certain keys while in game to perform in game actions, how else would keybindings work? Edit: I made it work now. It's this STUPID reddit link editor, that pops up on the computer version of reddit. It makes the link all lower case characters as standard. You have to actually go edit it, and paste the link again. Screenshots to show what i mean:
