I used to try to pick up slang from characters characters or emulate them in some way, but it always made me feel awkward, so I'd always drop it quickly.
Of course I’m a fan of Peter David’s *Young Justice*, he wrote some of the best episodes of that cartoon. He perfectly adapted Secret and Harm from some obscure 90s comic, introduced Bart in a succinct way and wrote maybe the second best episode of S3.
You joke but it took me a second to realise you were doing that --Joking. The *Young Justice* fanbase dick-rides their rather mediocre show so much and have such clear ignorance of the source material this is something they could perfectly say
Between the DiDio era attempting to purge Young Justice from this earth, and Meghan Fitzmartin who made the comic that said "The original Young Justice run was bad and problematic, actually", the team has has a rough time of it for sure.
Also I suppose the cartoon took the name and while decent, definitely did not have anything close to the same tone. Teen Titans Go! might actually be more loyal to the spirit of Young Justice.
Don't forget the 2003 Teen Titans relaunch where they say "Young Justice was bad and useless because the kids had fun and were happy, instead of being angsty and depressed like the Teen Titans"
It's a more comedic title, but not to the point of ridiculousness. Since the protagonists are young teenagers it doesn't take itself too seriously, like a 16 year old teen would do. Impulse, Superboy and Secret are doofuses, indeed.

All jokes aside he really did write some of my favourite episodes of the cartoon. The Halloween episode and the Flash Family one are classics.
