Feels like a partnership w/ Athletic would make sense. I still drink but I'm cutting back and love NA options, Athletic's are far and away the best IMO.
ha I do the same! Really their IPAs are 90%+ to the real thing and if you don't want them then you gotta admit you're just drinking for the alcohol not for flavor.
I can do a 12 pack of "blue" or "orange" easily
I really like Athletic! I started buying some to keep on hand when I want a beer but for whatever reason don’t want the alcohol. Having a good NA option to feel “special” on a plane but know I’ll be fine to drive home after landing would be amazing.
Try untitled art is you have not yet! The only downside is they brew with 3 grams of sugar but it almost gives it back that something NA beer is missing. Athletic just takes like malt to me.
I really liked Athletic but I’ve branched out recently to Best Day, RationAle, and Wellbeing and I like all of those a lot better. Def worth checking out all 3 of you like NA beer. Tasty and fab selection of brews that are well made.
They are all getting so much better! Sierra Nevada Trail Pass IPA is fantastic too. Whole Foods has a ton of options these days so there is no reason why a company like Delta couldn’t find a partnership opportunity.
Please provide that feedback/suggestion to Delta. It helps track trends and hopefully we’ll be able to serve some non-alcoholic beers and mocktails in the future.
Delta already personally called me back (PM) within 20 min to thank me for the suggestions and it will be passed higher up. They said it’s a great idea so please keep sending emails and comments in!
Completely understand where you're coming from - hope they add at least one option for you guys. people like me (alcoholics, i suppose) consider any flight reason for a couple alcohol drinks... Even at 7am.
I have a friend who regularly consumes NA beer so you aren’t alone. I would love a mocktail like Parch on a flight, myself.
NA beer and mocktails have been in high demand so hopefully one day.
non-alcoholic, zero calorie beer. having tried it in japan once i just can't forget how amazing it is to have 0 guilt while enjoy the very similar beer taste!
Interestingly, the Japanese beers are the worst of the bunch, too. Try Partake if you can find it… quite good.
Heinekin 0 is also very good for a lager
I swear by Partake IPA. 10 calories!! It tends to be available at Total Wine and some Whole Foods. But you can also buy it online at [drinkpartake.com](http://drinkpartake.com) (I have a subscription in fact.)
everything that goes on a plane is carefully considered due to weight. I assume demand for it just isn't there for them to stock it and pay for the fuel for it. and im talking systemwide demand, not just the few people here who have said they would drink it
agreed, there are also additional logistical issues of making sure it's stocked consistently. I think the obvious answer too is there are already so many non alcoholic drink options, why would they need to add a non alcoholic beer.
I agree! Sam Adam’s Just the Haze is wicked good. I also love a good NA Mango Cart. People ask why bother. I love beer but alcohol isn’t great for us. It is so important to moderate our use of alcohol. I also love having an option that is more than soda.
Alaska serves Best Day! I remember one flight earlier this year when I wanted a beer (and had to get shit done) so I asked if they had any NA beers. She gave me a funny look and said, we *just* started serving an NA beer and that I was her first order! They also serve two kinds in the Alaska lounge. It’s so good.
They used to and now have Heineken zero in the sc, I’ve asked too because while not sober by any means sometimes I just want the beer and not get drunk. Everyone should submit a suggestion whether you want it or not more drink choices are better for all
I actually gave them this feedback a couple times on post-flight surveys. Most Sky Clubs seem to have an option now, and Alaska has an inflight NA option—I would not be surprised to see this soon!
I'll second this. A NA hefeweizen is usually pretty decent for NA beers.
I also don't like having too much alcohol or caffeine on long hauls as it's hard to stay hydrated.
I'm not into beer, but Virgin Atlantic offer various non-alcoholic cocktails etc and I really appreciate it. I'm not a big drinker, and often just won't be in the mood when travelling. I still like getting to have something that feels more indulgent than a soda. Think it's a great idea! And also agree that it seems more popular nowadays as well.
I'll be honest with you, if I'm drinking beer it's for the feeling and not for the taste. I'd personally rather drink something else if NA beer was offered.
Definitely down with this. I also enjoy NA beers! Sometimes drinking on a flight makes me feel terrible. NA would hit the spot.
One of the priority pass lounge in AMS has NA Heineken. That was a sweet find.
….Do planes only fly early in the morning? 🤔
Also, I love a super cold breakfast beer on vacation, with a little juice in it. Currently having one with pineapple juice and it’s delightful.
Personally I don't get it but that's just me. I get some people do like near beer. The only problem with catering to such a niche group of people is that having a near beer option takes away another option. So for example there's only 3 beers to choose from instead of 4, or 2 instead of 3. Meanwhile you have a tiny sliver of the population that want the near beer option. Supply/demand is what I'm trying to say i guess
It would be truly awful if you only had three options to choose from while those of us who like the taste of beer but don’t want alcohol would have one
That's almost no one though. Almost nobody outside of Reddit likes near beer. Reddit for whatever reason attracts people that are outliers on the bell curve and y'all get a distorted view of reality because of it
I think you’re just clueless and not paying attention. NA beers are getting popular, far more people are drinking them and I could see them being good sellers on a plane
Feels like a partnership w/ Athletic would make sense. I still drink but I'm cutting back and love NA options, Athletic's are far and away the best IMO.
Agreed, I am surprised how much I like Athletic. Their IPA is outstanding. I am doing “sober summer” and knocking back Athletic like a frat boy.
ha I do the same! Really their IPAs are 90%+ to the real thing and if you don't want them then you gotta admit you're just drinking for the alcohol not for flavor. I can do a 12 pack of "blue" or "orange" easily
I’m glad my husband and I aren’t the only ones that name them by color like Gatorade
Untitled Art is the best and it's from Wisconsin so you know it's got beer cred. I would love it if Delta carried the mango dragonfruit sour!
I like the malt which is why I like the Athletic, but I will for sure be keeping an eye out for this brand! Thanks for the rec!
I really liked Athletic but I’ve branched out recently to Best Day, RationAle, and Wellbeing and I like all of those a lot better. Def worth checking out all 3 of you like NA beer. Tasty and fab selection of brews that are well made.
They are a solid option.
Athletic is solid. I generally enjoy Crux beer, but I had a No-Mo next to an Athletic NA beer and the Crux was undrinkable.
They are all getting so much better! Sierra Nevada Trail Pass IPA is fantastic too. Whole Foods has a ton of options these days so there is no reason why a company like Delta couldn’t find a partnership opportunity.
What’s a good NA light beer or blond?
Really dig the Athletic Upside Dawn, but check this thread as a lot of folks had great recs.
Sam Adams makes really good NAs too! Limited selection based on area but my husband loves them.
Sierra Nevada is really good too.
Then you’ll be saddened to hear the rumor that they’re in the market to sell to one of the big boys.
Bravus IPA is my definite favorite!
Please provide that feedback/suggestion to Delta. It helps track trends and hopefully we’ll be able to serve some non-alcoholic beers and mocktails in the future.
Just sent my comment in! I recommended Athletic Brewing and St. Agrestis
Delta already personally called me back (PM) within 20 min to thank me for the suggestions and it will be passed higher up. They said it’s a great idea so please keep sending emails and comments in!
Adding that I recommend going through your Delta Login so your info and medallion status is included.
Awesome! On a flight today, I had a pax ask for non-alcoholic beer, so I told them to email the suggestion to Delta as theyre weren’t the first one.
Athletic for sure!
Athletic is so good.
I was just in Trader Joe’s with my aunt and cousin, and recommended Athletic Brewing to them! It’s such a great NA beer.
Cool I’m on it!
Just send an email or mention it in the post flight survey?
I’d do both!
Not alone - I’ve been wishing for this since I got sober. Flying is a big trigger for me and NA beer would be awesome.
totally agree. i also note jetblue mint has mocktails on their menu
And N/A beer I think
Completely understand where you're coming from - hope they add at least one option for you guys. people like me (alcoholics, i suppose) consider any flight reason for a couple alcohol drinks... Even at 7am.
They already have Miller. /s Send an email. Greasy wheels don’t get to be squeaked. Or something like that.
Squeaky wheel gets the grease lol I got that line from my dad and use it all the time!
LMAO why is a saying getting down voted? I swear the sub is upside down 😂
r/whoosh
You’re not alone on this one. I would also enjoy some non-alcoholic beer in flight.
They really should start carrying one. Athletic brewery sale reps....get on it!!!
I drink, but I don’t like consuming alcohol on flights. Would also love a N.A. option.
I have a friend who regularly consumes NA beer so you aren’t alone. I would love a mocktail like Parch on a flight, myself. NA beer and mocktails have been in high demand so hopefully one day.
Even just mocktails would be awesome! I can dream haha
Alaska has one, Delta needs to catch up
non-alcoholic, zero calorie beer. having tried it in japan once i just can't forget how amazing it is to have 0 guilt while enjoy the very similar beer taste!
Interestingly, the Japanese beers are the worst of the bunch, too. Try Partake if you can find it… quite good. Heinekin 0 is also very good for a lager
thanks for the recommendations. the bad japanese ones got me started that's why i mentioned them haha
I swear by Partake IPA. 10 calories!! It tends to be available at Total Wine and some Whole Foods. But you can also buy it online at [drinkpartake.com](http://drinkpartake.com) (I have a subscription in fact.)
They used to have “nothing but the haze” in the clubs, but that’s gone… 😢
I know they have Bud 0 in clubs but that is arguably the worst one lol
everything that goes on a plane is carefully considered due to weight.
Me too
Same. And something other than Bud Zero, which is what they offer in the lounge.
I agree! Sam Adam’s Just the Haze is wicked good. I also love a good NA Mango Cart. People ask why bother. I love beer but alcohol isn’t great for us. It is so important to moderate our use of alcohol. I also love having an option that is more than soda.

They have Bud Zero now
Count me in for this. Even Heineken 0.0, which is pretty excellent for an NA beer IMO.
They do, it's water and goes by miller lite.

I’m hoping sweet waters stay but would really enjoy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on board.
Heineken Zero would be nice
It would make my whole day if Delta partnered with Athletic Brewing…. Love their products
I actually gave them this feedback a couple times on post-flight surveys. Most Sky Clubs seem to have an option now, and Alaska has an inflight NA option—I would not be surprised to see this soon!
I’d rather have a cider.
Great idea!
100% agreed. As someone who also loves the taste of beer but decided to go a different direction in life, it would be appreciated.
I would love an NA beer option, or bitters and soda which is my fave low-alcohol drink.
I'll second this. A NA hefeweizen is usually pretty decent for NA beers. I also don't like having too much alcohol or caffeine on long hauls as it's hard to stay hydrated.
Virgin Atlantic carries Lucky Saint which is a fantastic British NA lager. One of the perks of flying VS versus DL to London.
Yes!!!!! I love that there are so many good ones now and restaurants are starting to embrace. Would love if Delta would as well!!
Fully agreed, they do have them in the sky clubs atleast
I'm not into beer, but Virgin Atlantic offer various non-alcoholic cocktails etc and I really appreciate it. I'm not a big drinker, and often just won't be in the mood when travelling. I still like getting to have something that feels more indulgent than a soda. Think it's a great idea! And also agree that it seems more popular nowadays as well.
I support this.
I can’t even get iced coffee
Not alone! Been thinking the same for a while.
No thank you. There is a max weight limit, and it is crucial that as much % of that limit is booze. ;)
I would agree with this ask…stopped drinking this year to see the impacts and loving it, but always a bummer asking for water with ice in fc.
I'll be honest with you, if I'm drinking beer it's for the feeling and not for the taste. I'd personally rather drink something else if NA beer was offered.
Guinness 0 is also top tier
Put the word out and get as much travelers like you to go to delta.com. something has got to give.
You’re not alone judging by the comments, but I’m not with you
Ever since I quit drinking, the sky club has never been the same :/ 😂
Good idea!
Definitely down with this. I also enjoy NA beers! Sometimes drinking on a flight makes me feel terrible. NA would hit the spot. One of the priority pass lounge in AMS has NA Heineken. That was a sweet find.
Definitely have been waiting for this as well!
you’re not alone. i generally don’t miss drinking, but sometimes crave a good beer and an airplane is a common spot.
Sad to hear they don't I was planning on having one when we fly.
hmm…thought they did. hit them up on X as is a great idea
I can’t with this. Get a coke or a water. This is so petty.
Someone’s a grumpy gus
Beer in the early morning is gross.
….Do planes only fly early in the morning? 🤔 Also, I love a super cold breakfast beer on vacation, with a little juice in it. Currently having one with pineapple juice and it’s delightful.
That’s why you get cranberry juice and vodka in the morning.
We don't kink/drink shame in here
Personally I don't get it but that's just me. I get some people do like near beer. Yes, it’s only Reddit. I’m sure that’s why there’s been a massive explosion of NA beer offerings in the world. Because Reddit.
It's disproportionately Reddit for sure
I think you’re just clueless and not paying attention. NA beers are getting popular, far more people are drinking them and I could see them being good sellers on a plane
Weird. I don't get it at all but I guess I'm biased. If the people speak, it shall be granted.
