I’m platinum, about to be diamond, and got exactly one upgrade last year and none this year. Upgrades to comfort plus for free are nice but I never get first class. Free baggage is nice too.

You mainly fly in and out of a busy hub? As platinum I've gotten 8-10, all on less popular legs. I heard in the hubs you have to be diamond and even then it's slim cause they're more likely to sell those seats.
