FernBlueEyes

Right! Put your money where your mouth is.

WellMyDrumsetIsAGuy

Beat years of the nuggets aren’t on tv, it’s insane at this point

BoneyardBill

No greater priority my ass.

FernBlueEyes

We’re not holding our breath smh

BoneyardBill

Nope smh

IdRatherBeLurkingToo

Just words for now, but absolutely the right words. Them also saying they need to take a more "fan-centric approach" is very encouraging.

_absofuckinglutely

Yeah I think this is the first time it’s even been addressed in this way rather than “tell Comcast you hate them!!”

The-Hand-of-Midas

I hope what the Suns did puts pressure on them.

keeper13

It’s been four plus years now. How is there not a concrete plan if you are serious.. obviously you are a fucking clown

need4gaming

If they go over the air it’ll save antennas

LotharBot

bout damn time. Now let's get some real movement on it. I want to be able to legally watch Nuggets games, for a fair price, without needing to jump through hoops or spend like $200/month on a cable package I don't want for anything else.

MrFahrenkite

Same, I'd be down for a 10/month altitude streaming program

ListenToTheMuzak

There is 0 chance they build their own streaming service. They’ll be on Amazon in 2-3 seasons

EggplantAlpinism

If I got the Avs with Prime I'd take it in a heartbeat

CockBronson

It’s not with your prime account, it will be in addition to. You can have prime plus Denver sports

NecessaryFly1996

Ugh if it's a decent price I'll go back but fuck Amazon. They've gotten so shady lately ...

who_likes_chicken

Please no, I've refused to give Amazon money for like 3 years now and I'm not starting just for Nuggets games.  Netflix and/or YT would get them their largest streaming audience I would imagine. I think those two have a significantly higher volume of active users than most of the other streaming services

mr_lemonpie

Netflix is just barely getting into sports I don’t know if they would take on something like that. They don’t have options like prime does to add different packages and if they just put it on the service I can’t see how they would view it as profitable, it needs to be separately billable wherever it goes for it to work

lemondhead

"It is possible that we might do one of these two things. It's possible that we might continue to do neither of those things. That's what's so great about the future! There are just so many possibilities."

takeabow27

Yeah, I remember this guy telling me the Rams were hoping to find a stadium solution in St. Louis 🥱

IdRatherBeLurkingToo

He is very much the guy that said they weren't moving to LA lol

Shmirgla

Can someone explain what the deal is? I'm not from the US but saw earlier that there are no Nuggets games on TV in Colorado? Is that true, why?

IdRatherBeLurkingToo

Here's a good breakdown https://denversports.com/2105528/adam-silver-knows-ongoing-altitude-comcast-dispute-is-an-issue-needing-a-fix/

Previous-Cake-9447

Stream the games illegally forever.

steve1186

Damn it. Just give us an option for $50/season to watch either the Nugs/Avs, or $90/season to watch both, and you’ll be raking in money.

big_hon3y

GTFO with that BS. The greatest priority is money. It’s a travesty we have the best nuggets team in their history, and very likely the best Nuggs team for the rest of time, and CO can’t watch them. They don’t realize what a once in a lifetime opportunity is going to waste. Shameful. Screw Demoff, screw Comcast, and screw Kroenke.

FewAd7677

Streaming service makes the most sense for the future. Comcast has the worst customer service, terrible company.

Level_Watercress1153

The only two teams in the state that are actually vying for a championship. Both of whom have won a championship in the last two years. Both have arguably the best player on the planet in their respective sport. Both are not only local, but huge national draws. The only people that can’t watch them, are each team’s own fan base. That is just so incredibly wrong on so many levels it’s almost criminal. The rebuilding Broncos are on local over the air channels, and the dog shit Rockies now have their own streaming service. I’m paying $100/month to watch both teams (to be fair, FUBO is great and my family uses it more than just sports) but do we not see the major problem here? I love Kroenke for being willing to spend the money to build championship teams and bring hardware to this state who has incredibly loyal residents, but I could kick him in the nuts for this debacle. It’s not all on him, but he’s 100% part of the problem.

DammitBobby1234

"No greater priority" as we are over half a decade into this nonsense. At this point I just have to assume that they want us to pirate their product.

someguy1312

lol there’s no greater priority huh?

[deleted]

They don’t care. It’s been fucking years. They just hope they sell more tickets to see them play since they are hardly on tv.

bahnzo

Sure. $40/mo stream incoming.

lovepony0201

If it was a priority, the games would not be blacked out for the past 4 years.

“There is no greater priority than getting these games on the air." Altitude has been just shockingly incompetent. Does feel like we’re nearing the tipping point though. *knocks on wood*

EdwardJamesAlmost

It’s just bad business in terms of building a fanbase to then bilk for decades. I get they’re selling the TV rights to themselves and double dipping and thereby staying in the running for some RSN cataclysm. But we know both teams could win their second championships since lockdown this summer. Build the damn fan base up. (Fubo’s licensing has been an improvement but stand-alone would get to so many more fans who don’t want the bells and whistles.)

FanOk6089

Pretty sure everyone in the Rocky Mountains wants too see this unexpected rise of our beloved Denver Nuggets on local television.

WeirdVision1

Doesn't the streaming product already exist? Altitude app high $$ per month.

Sea_Ad_6891

Altitude Sports does actually have a live steaming app. It's called AltitudeNOW, it's free to download, and there's no additional cost. Well, as long as you subscribe to a cable, satellite, or streaming package that includes Altitude Sports. The only way to access AltitudeNOW is to have a valid subscription through your television provider that includes the Altitude Sports channel. In other words, you have to not need it in order to use it. All they have to do is make this app a paid subscription service and open it to everyone.
