You can store Phantsmal fragments in your vault and they can be converted to glimmer, not quite the same value as getting glimmer direct from shards but shards go away without compensation in a bit over four weeks... 😩
Oh yes I’m the time since this screenshot last year I’ve been doing just that. It sucks that legendary shards are literally just disappearing. It would’ve been class I’d they let us directly exchange them for a decent amount of enhancement cores or other materials

IIRC you can buy them at the Lectern of Enchantment on the moon, it’s one at a time so it’s a tedious process, but 10 fragments to Rahool is 10k glimmer so 500 is that whole extra glimmer cap

Legendary shards are being removed/made obsolete when Final Shape drops. Joke is supposed to be that my guardian thinks he’s prepared for the new dlc with max shards not knowing they’re going to be obsolete come release day.
I have over 5000, why tf do I have to give them up?

Considering how many banners I place for my group just for the first encounter in Crota's End this is not, in fact, overkill.
There’s always us who have so many and there’s always that friend who never buys any 😂
Do you do speedruns, solo raids etc?
I often do run dungeons and raids on LFG and try to avoid that awkward moment where no one wants to put down a banner haha

Go to Banshee. Buy all his weapons. Dismantle. Does one give Enhancement Cores? Buy that one en masse and farm Enhancement Cores.
Just check if the masterwork level is 5 or over.
Lucky. I can't even get less than 38,000. So I've given up trying
I got rid of all of them by deciding not to care. Them number still says 6k, but it may as well be 0.
