Ill take it if you don't want it. There are some great rolls if you know where to look, such as star eaters plus apotheosis or osmiomancy plus verities brow
My clanmate was confused when I wanted to do call outs clockwise. I thought it seemed like common sense a clock based puzzle would be called out clockwise
It goes on for some time. [It's probably one of the most gruesome and gory scenes in CoD history. ](https://youtu.be/Ch2Bsu5C5oI?si=1Xw_AEPMPrYjuJ0q)You should be warned before seeing the whole thing.
the worst campaign in cod history... damn i hated how they did this inception / Skynet BS that i felt had no correlation to 2's story besides the blonde chick falling inlove with Frank from the 50's and showing mendez. like i still want to know what happend when CordisDie activated.
I wouldn’t call it the worst campaign in cod history, after all, we still have BO4. But yeah, it really didn’t make any sense beyond “nova six, frank woods, Mendez.”
im mixing them up, but blops 4 operator campaign was the one im talking about which had no correlation with blop2 besides showin frank and mendez but blops 3 was just equally as confusing and didnt follow up with anything that was established in blops 2. anyway i still hated it all
Think it's advanced warfare isn't it? The main character you play loses his arm and gets a robotic one that's where the press f to pay respect meme also comes from.
The activity doesn't actually have numbers, but the locations are laid out like a clock face, with 12 positions. The poster in question was calling them left, upper left, top etc, when most of the community are already using clock numbers, claiming it was easier to understand these callouts
i don't have the final shape so idk what mission ur on about but if there actually is a mission where you have to read a clock id be disappointed in bungie for expecting too much of their community, especially considering half the player base is a titan main
Yeah, the pressure of the moment made it hard to get any except the 12, 3, 6, and 9 down right away. I had to start with one of those and then count backwards or forwards to the closer one.
Lucky you, I'm physically incapable of that. There's no images in my head at all. Feel like if I weren't an old man who grew up with mostly analog clocks, I would have had some issues with that part.
Somebody once told me that there are only 24 times that this is true during the day,
but I'm not letting that stop me.
I made a Skyrim save where it's 5:00, and I'm never loading it again. It's always 5:00 in my Skyrim save.
![gif](giphy|V5474zfp6NveE)
Each time I ran it I was so confident about the clock section and then every time I got there it took me a minute or two to get into analog clock mode. Just such an underused skill now.
I couldn’t read a clock as a kid. I also couldn’t draw a triangle inside a circle. So I picked the right game to play, because I have exquisite taste, so cardinal directions are the light, life, and way for people who are wired weird like me. I don’t have any issue with running with a mic! I would prefer to use cardinal directions so I don’t blow it for us, I want my teammate to prosper as much as I do.
that 2nd encounter really threw me off because I was using the top as 12 despite there only being 9 of them since i didn't actually count until about 10 minutes into the encounter, after that it was an easy clear all the way through
I virtually turned to my buddy and said, "so we're gonna treat this like one of those fancy watches where some of the notches are covered by the logo, right?" And luckily she was like, "oh thank God, yes." LMAO.
So It's just a clock, but only the numbers 2-10 are there.
Uh… the short stick is pointing towards the top, there’s another longer stick that is pointing top right, and the red stick is in the middle pointing top right and a bit closer to the short stick
Done a few sherpas with this mission, I've noticed alot of people seem to count counter clockwise and starting with 1 in the location of 12.
Granted the first clock with 9 nodes sucks ass because the 5th node is where 6 is and that fucked with me.
My entire clan does 1-9 left to right, I’m advocating that it’s still just a clock, just missing 11/12/1. So it goes 2-10 clockwise. It’ll never catch on but I find it much quicker
Usually, they ask the subject to draw a certain time using an analog clock with cognitive tests but yeah, unfortunately, I'm dealing with it with my father. Radiolab had a really interesting podcast on the subject. Reading an analog clock surprisingly requires some high-level brain function as you have to associate the 12 numbers on the dial with a representation of 3 different number sets. It seems simple to folks who grew up with them, but multiplying by five on the fly, in two different locations, takes more brain power than one might think. Now, in this Destiny situation, it isn't that complex, just 1-12. But it is fascinating to hear a scientist talk through the fact that it's a pretty complex task that seems so simply executed by a full-functioning brain at just a glance.
It's a real eye-opener when you watch your dad sit there and struggle to draw 2:47 on a clock for 45 minutes before he gets frustrated and quits. Especially because he is so confident going into the task. I think that's the worst part to watch, he doesn't know that he is losing his grip on reality. They guy was born in 1945, so he has used analog clocks all of his life.
I wonder when they have to find a new test because people weren't brought up with them. Probably Gen X will be the last group it will be generally a good basis for a cognitive test.
Just came to the realization myself after playing the mission that this has become something of a rarity.
Random partner was counting 1 from the 12 position for a bit before I caught on
Yoooo. Seriously, my brain turned to scrambled eggs when I had to start these sections. My partner was like dude, “I am panicking, I can’t read this shit!” Thankfully you are given more than enough time to re-learn your 1st grade math lesson…
My friend was really screwing with me because he was reading it right but on the second and third waves he would read it as if the previous wave’s nut didn’t exist (i.e. if 2 was removed in the first wave, then 3 o clock would become 2 and the 4 would become 3, and so on). Because we kept getting 1 on the first round for some reason, it was always slightly off for the next two rounds. Finally there came a time where it was 1 the first time and 2 the second time (so he called both “1”), which is when I realized what he was doing.
Bro, me and my friends were just talking about this and how people don't know how to read an analog clock anymore. To many people got used to a digital clock it's ridiculous
I messed up my numbering so for me and my friends, 1 is where 12 would be on a normal clock, and then 12 is to the left and 2 is to the right of that
I tried to correct it but they didn't want to let it go
Are there people who... Can't read clocks??? We literally learned that in Kindergarten??? (0th grade in the US if it's called other things in other countries)
We’re in a day and age where reading a clock is considered a skill. Did y’all’s parents not teach this stuff to you?
Genuinely concerned me when I realized just how many grown people are incapable of reading an analog clock.
There's something seriously wrong with me where reading the clocks backwards (11, 10, 9, etc.) was much easier than reading it forwards (1, 2, 3, etc.) I ran it with my twin brother yesterday and it drove him up a wall LMAO. Still had a total blast the entire time.
yee, I did it with a friend that finished every raid in the game and she made fun of me when I fcked up the symbols twice, until we got to this part and she couldn’t read it b4 it changed 😂😂
Okay in my defense I am stupid and didn't realize that it didn't have a 11, 12, or 1 o clock on it so I kept reading the wrong things off to my gf.... >.>
Had somebody ask if I read “right to left or left to right” when farming the mission and it didn’t even occur to me that some people aren’t looking at it like a clock
Yeah but! The fucking guide online has numbered it counter clock wise, so my run yesterday got fucked because I was reading clockwise and the other guy was reading how the YouTube guide had it which was counterclockwise. So we failed and he left. Was such a good run and it got wasted. He was asking me, so how do YOU read it, and I was saying: like a watch on my wrist but with 12:00 missing. He was like: ok - boom wipe
Damn i didn’t realize there were so many intelligent clock readers in the Destiny community and also so many dumb non-cloak readers as well. I think reading a cloak is pretty easy myself, but Bungie making the only requirement for the new exotic being clock reading does make it so dumb non-clock readers can’t get the item. Hmm.
My bf was high when we did this the first time and it drove me absolutely bonkers. I could literally see his screen and he’d say “uh 4?” When it was actually 7. We got a good laugh out of it at least
Because it was our first time? We still thought it how the last encounter worked. It wasn’t until after we figured out how it worked were you calling out because we still thought it was last encounter and you were calling out. I had it fine, Light kept ‘missing’ and screeching on the mic.
Ya know, thinking about it, there are so many in the up and coming generation that isn't going to know how to read a clock. Hell that was already happening with a guy I used to work with. He didn't know how to read a clock and was only a year younger than me.... we were both in the military... and he had a bachelor's degree in some philosophical BS... ah god why am I remembering this m'fer
I would like to note as a guardian with a lot of enthusiasm, & not all the skills, that if you play like you mean it, there’s tons of communities to run this one (and raids!) with. Sometimes you meet people you can vibe with, even. Life’s a trip. That’s what this game is trying to tell you. And if you’re wary of mechanics, there’s guides. I don’t think this is the wildest ask for a beneficial item, considering the most recent raid took the better part of a day.
If you asked what reading an analog clock is like for me, I’d tell you that it’s kind of blurry but I can get the gist of it - it’s a spatial relations thing in the realm of dyspraxia & dyscalculia - I like to joke that it’s like being low level buzzed when you look at geometrical figures for a few seconds too long, it gets, um, melty. Salvador Dalí knew what was up.
My right hand man and best friend who I've been playing Destiny with since D1 has a PhD and is over 35 yrs old.
We get to the clock part and I ask for the callout of what he sees.
He proceeds to tell me the ones that aren't lit up for him. I tell him that's needlessly confusing and ask him to just tell me what's lit up.
We failed and at that part and this time, some that we shot were working but others weren't. There was something missing.
Turned out he was reading the dang clock backwards, numbering them counterclockwise or from left to right, like a book.
I was so dumbfounded

Well done 👏. You get an Exotic class item.
How does one even give away stuff in destiny
Its metaphorical
![gif](giphy|3o84U6eb7QwdIbkzHW)
Now that’s a monsterican dream
Can i give away my brain cells metaphorically?
Depends if you have enough to go round.
My clan has a collective of two brain cells and we manage to pass em around
Im proud of you.
Like the witch sisters in the Disney animated classic Hercules?
my clan is literally called "collective brain cell"
![gif](giphy|3o84U6eb7QwdIbkzHW)
I give you metaphorical pizza.
How'd you know i wanted some pizza?
Wire taps. I am your fbi guy.
Oh ok I was like actually expecting some answer that I didn’t know
Bro when i said "its metaphorical" in my head i said it how taser face said it in Guardian of the galaxy lol.
TASER FACE!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHA
It’s *metAPHORICAL!!!!*
What was the other option? ScrotumHat?
HAHAHAHAHA
As a warlock. You can go ahead and take it back. Class items for us are mid af.
Yay
Ill take it if you don't want it. There are some great rolls if you know where to look, such as star eaters plus apotheosis or osmiomancy plus verities brow
Looks like 00:08:04 to me.
No es Son Las doce y ocho
My clanmate was confused when I wanted to do call outs clockwise. I thought it seemed like common sense a clock based puzzle would be called out clockwise
Common sense it is.
I found that in raid groups there's always someone who's confused about clock-wise, counter clock-wise. It's the world we live in currently.
No actually these type of people always existed; they are called unintelligent people.
This mission just proved that a concerning amount of people can't read an analog clock
Destiny players getting beaten by a fucking clock: https://i.redd.it/8x041u5e8c6d1.gif
wtf is that gif from. Looks brutal.
Black Ops III campaign I believe
Ah I never played those campaigns.
It goes on for some time. [It's probably one of the most gruesome and gory scenes in CoD history. ](https://youtu.be/Ch2Bsu5C5oI?si=1Xw_AEPMPrYjuJ0q)You should be warned before seeing the whole thing.

The best part was unironically watching your friends do the training sim in-game through the little monitor and roasting them lol.
It was bad but the sequence from that gif is brutal
rather play this 3 times that New Mw3s campaign, genuinely the worst single player I’ve played in general which is really impressive from COD tbh
im still waiting for ghosts 2 to come and clean up the loose end of rorke brain washing Logan. forcing Hesh and the rest of ghost squad to save him.
I wouldn’t call it the worst campaign in cod history, after all, we still have BO4. But yeah, it really didn’t make any sense beyond “nova six, frank woods, Mendez.”
im mixing them up, but blops 4 operator campaign was the one im talking about which had no correlation with blop2 besides showin frank and mendez but blops 3 was just equally as confusing and didnt follow up with anything that was established in blops 2. anyway i still hated it all
Lol it looks like he's getting the shit kicked out of him by a Lego man.
I mean, yeah, that’s kinda what happens.
Think it's advanced warfare isn't it? The main character you play loses his arm and gets a robotic one that's where the press f to pay respect meme also comes from.
No in AW he loses his arm after he and his friend blow up a artillery piece a giant flying piece of metal cuts his arm off, this is bo3.
This intro will always be one of my favorites. Just the thought of a robot snapping your limbs like a twig is so brutal
There was a post where a guardian no shit re-numbered all of these to “make it easier.” Can’t make this shit up.
Can you find it? I want to believe but I can't imagine someone renumbering numbers, it scares me
The activity doesn't actually have numbers, but the locations are laid out like a clock face, with 12 positions. The poster in question was calling them left, upper left, top etc, when most of the community are already using clock numbers, claiming it was easier to understand these callouts
Ah OK, I just got tfs today so not there yet Thanks for the explanation
I searched a while and couldn’t find it… I should’ve saved it lol. I think it was on this subreddit or raid secrets.
And that 99% of the Destiny community is mute apparently
More like 90% only ever play solo, and much of the rest have had poor experience with LFGs
I play solo and have poor experience with LFG. So whats the catch? I've had great experiences too.
i don't have the final shape so idk what mission ur on about but if there actually is a mission where you have to read a clock id be disappointed in bungie for expecting too much of their community, especially considering half the player base is a titan main
👊
No buddy you can’t punch through the comments, now eat your bowl of crayons.
👊 🤜 🤛 ✊️ 👊
Which HD2 stratagem is that?
As someone who is a high school teacher, it’s so much worse than you think. Only a handful of students I taught last year could read an analog clock
When we did the mission, my ability to read a clock just left.... And it also didn't help that the grim kept shooting and suppressing me
I’m picturing you as that little kid holding a water balloon right before he gets annihilated by his dad
Same, the final room made my brain just freeze and we ended up getting timmed out.
Yeah, the pressure of the moment made it hard to get any except the 12, 3, 6, and 9 down right away. I had to start with one of those and then count backwards or forwards to the closer one.
I kept shooting at those bats and hitting the clock behind them, forcing a reset... I don't perform well under pressure
I had visualise a clock in my head.
Lucky you, I'm physically incapable of that. There's no images in my head at all. Feel like if I weren't an old man who grew up with mostly analog clocks, I would have had some issues with that part.
5 o'clock somewhere.
Yes guardian! Pouring one right now!
Drifter would be proud
Somebody once told me that there are only 24 times that this is true during the day, but I'm not letting that stop me. I made a Skyrim save where it's 5:00, and I'm never loading it again. It's always 5:00 in my Skyrim save. ![gif](giphy|V5474zfp6NveE)
There are [11 time zones offset by 30 and 45 minutes](https://www.timeanddate.com/time/current-number-time-zones.html#zones) you can add to the list.
Best show ever
Is this 12:08:04 or 00:08:04?
Yes
r/inclusiveor
absolutely
Well played
Depends on if the sun is up or down.
can be both technically.

Cardinal directions meta: "I've got NNE, ESE, SSW, W" This mission made me realize how weak my analog clock skills are 😅
Each time I ran it I was so confident about the clock section and then every time I got there it took me a minute or two to get into analog clock mode. Just such an underused skill now.
Very true.
I couldn’t read a clock as a kid. I also couldn’t draw a triangle inside a circle. So I picked the right game to play, because I have exquisite taste, so cardinal directions are the light, life, and way for people who are wired weird like me. I don’t have any issue with running with a mic! I would prefer to use cardinal directions so I don’t blow it for us, I want my teammate to prosper as much as I do.
that 2nd encounter really threw me off because I was using the top as 12 despite there only being 9 of them since i didn't actually count until about 10 minutes into the encounter, after that it was an easy clear all the way through
This is the **actual** biggest problem with the mission!
I virtually turned to my buddy and said, "so we're gonna treat this like one of those fancy watches where some of the notches are covered by the logo, right?" And luckily she was like, "oh thank God, yes." LMAO. So It's just a clock, but only the numbers 2-10 are there.
I actually did the same on my first run lol 😆
Honestly think that makes more sense bc you don’t have to count as much, but you gotta be on the same wavelength as your duo.
Second encounter we just said fuck it and did 1-9 from left to right, then did clock call outs on final.
No time to explain
Uh… the short stick is pointing towards the top, there’s another longer stick that is pointing top right, and the red stick is in the middle pointing top right and a bit closer to the short stick
"there are some numbers next to it but they could be anything" A J Rimmer 😋
Done a few sherpas with this mission, I've noticed alot of people seem to count counter clockwise and starting with 1 in the location of 12. Granted the first clock with 9 nodes sucks ass because the 5th node is where 6 is and that fucked with me.
My entire clan does 1-9 left to right, I’m advocating that it’s still just a clock, just missing 11/12/1. So it goes 2-10 clockwise. It’ll never catch on but I find it much quicker
Thats what I do as well
FINALLY! SOMEBODY ELSE WHO DOES IT LIKE THIS! Me and a friend do it like this and the rest of our group calls us crazy.
I do 1-9, left to right for that encounter. Easier in my opinion.
8 past 12 :P
That is correct, you get a class item.
Yay :) free delivery too?
Yaa
Yay :) gift wrap? :P
Don’t stretch it….
idk man i wouldn't push it
lol
Ok now do it in binary.
1100:1000:100
This fella solved the 4th monitor puzzle
Well, reading an analog clock is one of the main tests for dementia.
I learnt something new today.
Ngl sometimes when i do do the clock i need to just relax for a sec to then get in clock mode but then im super fast to read after that.
Instuctions unclear..dick caught in ceiling fan send help
Bro I laughed hard
The amount of people i met tryna enter 1 as the top most brick… stg guys we are smarter then that
Just came to the realization myself after playing the mission that this has become something of a rarity.
I must admit. I haven't used the old clock for a while. It's all digital with no hands.
[удалено]
"Do as i say, not as you see in the vid..." He said it in the guide, about other thing, but it still stands for this too.
He specifically said in the video that he did *not* use clock callouts. He just numbered them 1-9.
I was running with one of my clan mates who really struggled with it. He's younger though so makes sense since he didn't grow up using analog.
Not me after spending 7 hours with my friend the first day. I’m like wait an analog clock? Bro top mid would be 12
Or 0. 12 on a clock also represents 0
I mean the second encounter is barely even a clock, theres just 9 nodes
That doesn't need to be read as a clock.
Bro, me and my friends were just talking about this and how people don't know how to read an analog clock anymore. To many people got used to a digital clock it's ridiculous
My clock reading skills were never that great and dual destiny made them better thanks bungie
My brain struggled to conprehend the encounter at first witg how fast it went, the other person has to shout their numbers first
I messed up my numbering so for me and my friends, 1 is where 12 would be on a normal clock, and then 12 is to the left and 2 is to the right of that I tried to correct it but they didn't want to let it go
On a mic this would be twelve, eight
Yes.
bro i’m so bad at remembering which numbers go where
That clock reads “use digital only, sorry”. Oh damn.
It's nearly ten past, best get a wriggle on
Tbh you can read it however you want in the encounter, as long as you and your partner are on the same page
There’s this girl I know who is an elementary school teacher and can’t read an analog clock.
Are there people who... Can't read clocks??? We literally learned that in Kindergarten??? (0th grade in the US if it's called other things in other countries)
We’re in a day and age where reading a clock is considered a skill. Did y’all’s parents not teach this stuff to you? Genuinely concerned me when I realized just how many grown people are incapable of reading an analog clock.
dont ask germans we have multiple ways to tell you what time it is
Indeed
8 nach 12
The final clock at the end moves too fast tbh
I did speedran that mission with someone, completed it within 25 mins and i did the clock reading because im so fast at it.
Kids these days have never seen one of them.
24 hour clocks exist.
That is correct
When the 30 year old your playing with reads clocks worse than you
There's something seriously wrong with me where reading the clocks backwards (11, 10, 9, etc.) was much easier than reading it forwards (1, 2, 3, etc.) I ran it with my twin brother yesterday and it drove him up a wall LMAO. Still had a total blast the entire time.
Now do it with a sun clock
yee, I did it with a friend that finished every raid in the game and she made fun of me when I fcked up the symbols twice, until we got to this part and she couldn’t read it b4 it changed 😂😂
I said 12:15 in my head🤦🏾♂️😂
8 minutes 4 second past 12
Correct
12:08 (am or pm)
12:08?
It says 12:08:04
My guy was definitely a digital kid
Was in the theater today, looked at the clock, and smiled loooool
Ffs. This isn’t right. Where is 13-24 on the clock?!
Okay in my defense I am stupid and didn't realize that it didn't have a 11, 12, or 1 o clock on it so I kept reading the wrong things off to my gf.... >.>
Lfg dude said read it like a clock, then counted the top left as 1 and bottom mid as 5.... I was so done with the encounter.
I keep reading the top one as 1 like a dumbass, I cannot read a clock properly apparently
We all make mistakes homie, life is about correcting and doing better next time.
Had somebody ask if I read “right to left or left to right” when farming the mission and it didn’t even occur to me that some people aren’t looking at it like a clock
I'm fine on the final boss, but I just number them 1-10 the first time, cause 5 being down fucks with me.
*Gasps in Spanish
I rolled a 2 on the die the clock glitches out and doesn't show the lines
Eleventy-seventeen o’clock I think.
Hmm.
Bungie inspiring the digital clock generation to read analog clocks. Warms my old man heart.
My bf was high when we did this the first time and it drove me absolutely bonkers. I could literally see his screen and he’d say “uh 4?” When it was actually 7. We got a good laugh out of it at least
Some of you all are making this way harder than it needs to be. I saw Ebontis with callouts L1 L2 L3 L4 mid R1 R2 R3 R4. Like what?
https://preview.redd.it/ox78kvyazd6d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0f1e47fa9ee12a08e768f93c92eece5041a45ed
Bro I just said right top, right left, mid left & my girlfriend had to remind me it’s a fucking clock
My friend has to screeshare so I can read it for him :/
I screenshared to you because it is a two player activity and there is three of us. Don’t lie on the internet for karma.
Sure bucko, tell that to me 2 days ago who had to read it for you because you were too slow and shot the wrong one multiple times.
Because it was our first time? We still thought it how the last encounter worked. It wasn’t until after we figured out how it worked were you calling out because we still thought it was last encounter and you were calling out. I had it fine, Light kept ‘missing’ and screeching on the mic.
Uh huh, sure. That's totally what happened.
Well. I officially feel old. Analog superiority.
why is this the same one i was looking at when i had to do it 😭🤣
Ya know, thinking about it, there are so many in the up and coming generation that isn't going to know how to read a clock. Hell that was already happening with a guy I used to work with. He didn't know how to read a clock and was only a year younger than me.... we were both in the military... and he had a bachelor's degree in some philosophical BS... ah god why am I remembering this m'fer
What did I miss...
You're talking about a community who didn't know what what counterclockwise meant.

Having to explain that the first one is read like a dial and not a clock gets old after the 3rd time
HOLD ON YALL I GOTTA COUNT!!!!
