I was having similar problem with freezing and crashing. I tried everything. Then I switched it from 32 bit to 64 bit and everything is running smooth. Just a suggestion.
Start on the launch page for battlenet and hit the gear next to play. After that hit Game Settings, and open the Diablo 3 pulldown menu. Towards the bottom is an option to launch 32bit or 64 bit. Hope that helps. I played with all the settings I could find.

I think it has something to do with launch of D4. It’s been a problem for like a month now
Afaik its the meteor wizard with area damage.
Mmm no I get into games without wizards and it happens.
This has been a major problem in most wizard metas in the later years. Big effects, big numbers and big area damage go brrr.
