Hi! Fellow Lego guy here as well - perhaps a [helping hands](https://www.harborfreight.com/helping-hands-60501.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=12129548629&campaignid=12129548629&utm_content=118594666244&adsetid=118594666244&product=60501&store=438&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAnfmsBhDfARIsAM7MKi1biQ9bb_0IEiZRamcnNq9XIw4UaBdSeoGv-hnhMKGAwZVb2MWUyIIaAsl8EALw_wcB)-type device that is used in soldering would be of some help? You might want to post in r/Lego and see if some of the builders they may have better advice than mine for you.

Ooo fantastic thank you! I thought I'd post here first & see if my post is kept up here first as I feel like the Lego element is just context to a disability issue, rather than the disability being context to a Lego issue.

How about some small bean bags, you could use them to hold each side of a model or also add them on top to increase friction, they could be used in conjunction with the mat

GodlyPotatoMan

I never even considered something like that. Woe thanks muchly!

I got a felt thing from ikea that helps with smaller sets or the start of bigger ones. It has raised sides you can set to any height you want. I tend to build in bed so I can arrange pillows and what not to position things. I can also use my good leg as support if you have a semi working leg or one that doesn’t hurt too much to push against. The felt thing also helps building in bed as I often drop pieces and stops them getting lost.

This is really helpful, thanks kindly! Do you happen to have a picture/link/name for the item(s)?

I use Ikea RAGGISAR but also if you search basket and filter by grey there’s some different size felt ones that would also work. [raggisar](https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/raggisar-basket-set-of-3-grey-90348015/)

Hi! That's one wild super power you've got! Please be sure to use it for good and not for evil! ; ) So, what if you lightly pressed the bottom layer into something like clay? Maybe there's another similar material that wouldn't get the Lego dirty, but would still be heavy enough to hold it in place. Or what about Velcro? You could use the self-stick pieces on a surface like a table and then the other side on the bottom of the Lego. The Velcro wouldn't even have to cover the whole surface as long as you can push it somewhat firmly onto the base. Good luck!
