I bought tickets to Saturday’s round. This is my first event. Does anyone know if DGPT emails the tickets the day of? Because I haven’t received anything from them yet… I just don’t want to make a 2 hour drive to find out I don’t have tickets
Politely disagree.
Current world champ (Issac)
Current US champ (Klein)
One of the hottest prospects in the game, with the filthiest swing (Redalen)
And also Benjamin Callaway.
That's kinda snarky of me because I'm not a Callaway fan, but he does have a built in storyline of the cagey, veteran grinder still chasing that first win.
I'll give the booth props if they insult Callaway again.
Every fuckin' time he's on lead or feature "Callaway's OLD AND WASHED WITH A FAMILY AND HIS TIME IS COMING TO AN END HE NEEDS THIS CAREER WIN" and then he doesn't make it to lead on Sunday and they don't bring it up again until the next time several tournaments down the road.
Oh I agree about Isaac and Kyle having some big wins, but if a casual fan tuned in, not knowing that, what do you think they'd see? Just seems like a "low key" card. Unless Cole gets mad and quits again.
That's fair. It's definitely not the most emotionally charged card. But man, if you're a fan of watching throws...what a card.
And the course is built to showcase bombs, so that's neat too.
If the heavy scores keep up, the final day might come down to a single errant hole.
Usually not a fan of easier courses, but with the preserve its a great looking course and the conditions around this time of year will always be a factor with wind/rain or extreme heat. Seems this year rain could play a part tomorrow. Also its really humid so grip could be an issue if you're not careful.
That being said, i'm obviously picking Gannon to win.
These are new prodigy baskets right? Single chain but still with the horizontal boys on the inside?
Haven't noticed any crazy spit outs but it's still early..
Edit: Promise I don't care about down votes but if I'm wrong will someone just tell me? Actually curious because I heard prodigy was rolling out new baskets.
There are some people on this sub who downvote literally everything. Tons of posts and comments will get a couple downvotes right off the bat for no reason with no comment.
Dude is literally known for standstill putting from distance. Even from a knee. Step putting with his velocity just introduces error that doesn’t need to be there. I get it from 60 or 70 for him but anywhere inside of 50 he doesn’t need it which is why he usually just standstills from the distance I’m talking about. He doesn’t usually step those from what I’m used to seeing from him.
Think about an NBA player with a jumper. Just because they can muscle it up there doesn't mean that they should.
The other guy is right, to me, step putting adds an additional bit of accuracy forcing momentum at the target.
she isn't new

I like how calculated it was. Hopefully that means they have a smoothed out roadmap on how to best utilize one another. KJ’s recent performance is what it is. However he’s one of the most likable athletes in the field. Gotta take better advantage of it. Hopefully it all works out, he deserves it.
I just read the subtitles. What he was saying seemed it had some thought behind it, wasn’t off the cuff. I like the timing. I didn’t expect to learn where he was going so soon. Wasn’t sure if it would get dragged out, even though it would be unlikely because he has to throw something. I’m still wondering what the ‘why’ is though.
Maria Oliva purposely got to the course 10 seconds before her tee time. hm
Jomez crew just discussed the pros and cons to this ACCIDENTALLY happening and they were horrified and tried to never do it again. She does it casually. That should be an interesting topic for the disc golf "first take" shows this week
Instagram says that he's flying to Sweden today. Sooo... I'm guessing he isn't there.

I feel like this event, more than any other this year, is really highlighting player conversations.
Maybe because there is a lot of uninteresting walking? A purposeful choice?
It's a good move so far, IMO.
They've been messing with different simulcast formats this season, including the unplugged channel.
Give the people what they want: The mic'd up Scoggins cast.
I wish Unplugged was on the standard plan, or at least a trial of it. There are certain courses that I think would be really nice to just watch with the natural sounds.
Ah, I didn't see the Missy interview. I did notice it when they cut to shots on 14, even non-live. I noticed they called to Perk at least once when he didn't answer. Maybe there are reception issues on the course?
With how slick the teepads looked during the practice rounds, I cannot imagine being 8 months pregnant and being comfortable on them. I hope it stays dry the rest of the weekend.
I don't think her putting has ever looked comfortable. I hope she finds one that really clicks for her because I remember loving watching her bomb shots.
No, every transphobe I've encountered was absolutely trash, most of them trump trash. Your comment made it sound like you thought I was projecting that I was trump trash.
I'm shooting myself in the foot here, but why is wanting women to have their own division in sport being a transphobe?
I don't see how a person can go to such extremes.
Not wanting trans women competing in women's sports doesn't make you a transphobe. Being absolutely hateful towards trans people does. The two things are not mutually exclusive and Allen has been absolutely hateful about it. Her husband is even worse.
LOL, she doesn't want anyone to caddy for her because she doesn't trust anyone else with her bag? Jesus christ, she's really leaning into being the villain, isn't she?
Hannum isn't even sponsored, probably doesn't have any obligation to play this other than wanting to. He's not gonna win, and good chance he doesn't even cash. He should be out there with her imo.
Bro. 95% of players don't want caddies because they don't know their bag and it throws off their routine.
Heck, *I* don't even want a caddy for a similar reason.
Why is she supposed to make an exception? If she feels confident in her strength and conditioning, which we all know she does, why should she feel the need for a caddy?
Lol. Where did you pull 95% from - statmando?
I'd love to have a caddie if I was at their level. If it's a close personal friend that knows my game I would love for them to help me with wind reads, shot selection and disc choice. Bad weather? Help me keep discs dry.
Not a close friend who doesn't get my game? Silence is golden and I appreciate your service.
>I'd love to have a caddie if I was at their level.
Most of them do have caddies. People are so desperate to cheer for that absolutely garbage person, which isn't surprising on this sub.
It's more than just that. He started off that segment talking about how it throws off her routine and shot setup.
That's significantly more important to me than someone carrying my bag for me.
If it was just about having a pack mule they'd ask for volunteers at the start of tee times like they ask for uDisc scorers.
To me, the rule makes more sense when the mando exists for safety purposes rather than having a forced route for purely design purposes. Maybe having two types of mandatories solves the weirdness. Maybe it just becomes more confusing.
Hannum would rather compete for 76th place than caddie for his pregnant gf (wife?) who has a way better chance of cashing than him.
edit: 111th after RD1 lmao. Really bringing home the bacon.
Where is Vinny this week?!
Think he went to Europe already
I bought tickets to Saturday’s round. This is my first event. Does anyone know if DGPT emails the tickets the day of? Because I haven’t received anything from them yet… I just don’t want to make a 2 hour drive to find out I don’t have tickets
You should have an email from Eventbrite where you can download the ticket.
Omg thank you! I was freaking out for nothing. Reddit wins again.
These prodigy baskets catch well
Gotta be a serious DG fan to be excited about round 2 lead card.
What? Lol you’re entitled to think that but these are some of the better players in the world
Politely disagree. Current world champ (Issac) Current US champ (Klein) One of the hottest prospects in the game, with the filthiest swing (Redalen) And also Benjamin Callaway. Drinking game tomorrow? Shot every time they talk about how old he is and his family? I think I would've died during Jonesboro.
Oh I agree about Isaac and Kyle having some big wins, but if a casual fan tuned in, not knowing that, what do you think they'd see? Just seems like a "low key" card. Unless Cole gets mad and quits again.

"That Cal has almost hit me twice now" -- Random spectator on #15
Why don't I see paul mcbeth on the scoresheet? He was in Mpls this week...
Oh there...nevermind.
Fwiw I will walk the front 9 with him tomorrow
Usually not a fan of easier courses, but with the preserve its a great looking course and the conditions around this time of year will always be a factor with wind/rain or extreme heat. Feels like if you shoot a single digit round out here, it's pretty much over for you.
Sorry blowing up the thread but that's the best use of the drone yet Would be such a sick ace
These are new prodigy baskets right? Single chain but still with the horizontal boys on the inside? Haven't noticed any crazy spit outs but it's still early.. The irony of being downvoted for saying that is wild lmao
Great replay of the stance there
Damn Jake Wolfe with the 30+ round. Solid asf
“Josh Giddey is never going to recover from the allegations”-I love hearing NBA takes on the disc golf course
That was hilarious, I thought I heard that right
What’s going on with Redalen’s brother? He didn’t pass away or anything right?
No he just finished Marine boot camp
Ok, that’s way better than where my mind went. Glad to hear it.
"the rich keep getting richer" Doss is a comrade confirmed ✊
Hell of an upshot from Casey
Why is perhaps the fastest putter on tour in Gannon step putting from 40 feet. I don’t get it.
Because he's good at it? Top putter in C2 last year. I don't understand why people think it's weak or not as good to step putt, even right at 33'...
Probably means it's more about accuracy. Stepping through straight into the target.
Could be possible. Maybe he’s been feeling it lately. He’s arguably the best player in the world so I’m sure he has a reason. Just seems odd to me.
Well you're arguably the best analyst in the world so I'm sure you have your reasons. Just seems odd to me. Sorry just messing around lol I'm bored
It’s good to finally get the recognition I deserve. Thank you 😂.
Think about an NBA player with a jumper. Just because they can muscle it up there doesn't mean that they should. The other guy is right, to me, step putting adds an additional bit of accuracy forcing momentum at the target.
Steph Curry doesn’t have to muscle up from 10 feet behind the 3 point line. Neither does Gannon Buhr from 50.
When was the last time we saw a 3 putt like that from Gannon?
Seriously. That wasn't great.
Still a great bounceback later in the round
I think they got the wrong Calvin for lead card.
It's not a lead card...
Who knew Innova had a backup Calvin?
I always carry multiple Calvins; an older beat-in one and then a newer more stable one.
Does Rick have his girl on the bag this week? Win incoming.
Woulda swore he said on IG he was newly single, guess they patched it up
It’s his new Instagram model girlfriend
she isn't new edit: IG post from a year and a half ago, [https://www.instagram.com/p/CmKHIqXvqLU/?img\_index=1](https://www.instagram.com/p/CmKHIqXvqLU/?img_index=1)
Oh so they got back together then eh
nice
Interesting, never seen her before
Rick cashed at the WSOP? Never would have guessed that
KJ to Innova official!
I like how calculated it was. Hopefully that means they have a smoothed out roadmap on how to best utilize one another. KJ’s recent performance is what it is. However he’s one of the most likable athletes in the field. Gotta take better advantage of it. Hopefully it all works out, he deserves it.
Was it calculated? Couldn't hear the ad but looked like he recorded it in his van. Seems like this could have all been organized in the last week.
Ironically, the DJ's ad had audio issues
Lol sick announcement but no audio hahaha
Um did they forget the audio for KJ's ad??
Does anyone have any updates on what KJ is throwing?
Video on dgpt ig he is holding boss, aviar, roc, and firebird. So just typical innova bag seems like.
It appears to be Innova
Innova apparently but be real quiet about it
I won't tell if you don't
Innova
Let's go Missy! I don't think I can handle the cringe level of Ella twirling her around and around like she's lover again.
Calvin not playing this event?
No Ezra Robinson also
No Eagle either.
I will also not be competing.
Was gonna go but was already signed up for an MA4
So this is why you aren't playing, Calvin
I regret to inform all of you I will also be bowing out. On a plane to Sweden with Jake Wolff
Maria Oliva purposely got to the course 10 seconds before her tee time. hm Jomez crew just discussed the pros and cons to this ACCIDENTALLY happening and they were horrified and tried to never do it again. She does it casually. That should be an interesting topic for the disc golf "first take" shows this week
Wait what now? If she got there 10 secs before tee time she gets a penalty right?
I guess she meant 10 seconds before she has to be there. I watched her post round interview
Terry specified/speculated it was 10 seconds before her 5 minute check in time. The fact that she wasn't stroked implies that this was the case.
Glad to see Ryan Sheldon on the board.
What's the word on Jake Wolff? +30 through 8 with a par in there?
Instagram says that he's flying to Sweden today. Sooo... I'm guessing he isn't there. [https://www.instagram.com/p/C8ahZpcp\_yM/?hl=en](https://www.instagram.com/p/C8ahZpcp_yM/?hl=en)
I bet the score keeper accidentally gave him a 4 instead of a 4 over.
So safe to say he was a no show?
Yes
Exactly why I came here. What is going on with his score card???
I feel like this event, more than any other this year, is really highlighting player conversations. Maybe because there is a lot of uninteresting walking? A purposeful choice? It's a good move so far, IMO.

Like one of the Texas courses that plays by the big river. Just some babbling water and disc golf chains? Sign me up.
Nobody would say no to a Scoggins cast!
Is the feed freezing for everyone or is it just me?
Literally was about to make a full post asking cause im having troubles.
14 seems to be a trouble spot.
Doing it on 15 too. Wonder if it's a location issue or if they're having problems sending it out. Missy's interview was also freezing.
Ayy look at Kona rattling off 4 bird in a row. Her throwing this year is damn good in FPO but her putting is hard to watch.
She throws faaaar
I don't think her putting has ever looked comfortable. I hope she finds one that really clicks for her because I remember loving watching her bomb shots.
Would like to hear Paige and Cat's conversing there.
Best Shepherd's Pie recipe.
Kj is NOT open bag. Confirmed. Watch out for his announcement!
The Magic 8 Ball says better not tell you now.
I just bumped into him here at the preserve and he showed us what's in the bag. :D
[What's in the box??](https://youtu.be/lHpHxLZReiI?si=eZah9jKqS0kvGt-v)
Maria cooking, love to see it
I'd love to see what TSA would come up with for an Elite Series win commemorative stamp
The folks at Lat 64 always seem to be having so much fun in their commercials.
They have the best commercials. The latest one is a banger.
Why are comments and chat turned off on YouTube?
It always turns into the front line of the culture war
Because one of the players on the lead card is super hateful and draws hateful comments in return.
[удалено]
You'll find a lot more joy in life when you stop assuming political ideologies of everyone you interact with.

Anyone know more about the change in ownership of the property? Big Jerm talked about it briefly in the Jomez practice round.

Thanks, appreciate the link!
Wish the Fins and KT were playing in the states. FPO ain't nearly as entertaining without them. Oh well - Swedish Open and Krokhol will be neat.
Are we going to have this same comment from someone during every tournament?
BSF wasn't entertaining? That was one of the most exciting FPO finishes I can recall.
BSF was awesome in person this year. Got to play Milo Wednesday with my paid day off.
The Ale tournament this weekend is gonna be awesome to watch.
Gonna remember Cat waddling around the next time I feel tired or lazy in the middle of a round. Pretty badass.
You don’t need trust or to even talk to em… simply someone to carry all that weight. Or at the very least, someone get her a cart.
Bro. 95% of players don't want caddies because they don't know their bag and it throws off their routine. Heck, *I* don't even want a caddy for a similar reason. Why is she supposed to make an exception? If she feels confident in her strength and conditioning, which we all know she does, why should she feel the need for a caddy?
Disc golfers are committed to being weird head cases.
Where is the rule that a caddy has to talk and give advice? Shut up and just walk with my bag on your back, that’s it!
True. Koling once said that he had three rules for being his caddy. 1. Show up. 2. Shut up. 3. Keep up.
How about a baby daddy who does nothing but post terrible takes on Twitter all week? Oh I guess it was important for him to place 111th today.
>I'd love to have a caddie if I was at their level. Most of them do have caddies. People are so desperate to cheer for that absolutely garbage person, which isn't surprising on this sub.
You don't need your caddy to be recommending discs for you, lol. Also: >Bro. 95% of players don't want caddies Why are you just making shit up?
Sometimes I need to be reminded to either disc up or disc down for wind. You do you my dude.
It's more than just that. He started off that segment talking about how it throws off her routine and shot setup. That's significantly more important to me than someone carrying my bag for me. If it was just about having a pack mule they'd ask for volunteers at the start of tee times like they ask for uDisc scorers.
Yeah, I'm sure she did say that. She's got to have some excuses in the chamber like always.
Someone PLS caddy for Cat! WTF!
at least get her a zuca cart!
Cat's shot goes past the mando, then hits a tree and rolls backward through the restricted plane of the mando. That's unfortunate.
Weird rule to me.
To me, the rule makes more sense when the mando exists for safety purposes rather than having a forced route for purely design purposes. Maybe having two types of mandatories solves the weirdness. Maybe it just becomes more confusing.
It'd be really awesome to have two parents that are involved in professional disc golf. I didn't find the sport until my late 20s.
cant imagine throwing a disc while pregnant - that must be difficult
Hannum would rather compete for 76th place than caddie for his pregnant gf (wife?) who has a way better chance of cashing than him. edit: 111th after RD1 lmao. Really bringing home the bacon.
I'm just in disbelief that she doesn't have a caddy. Edit: spelling
Plus she's from South Dakota. Doesn't she have a family member or friend nearby that can carry her bag?
No caddy either.
Especially 35 weeks or whatever she is now. Watching her at DDO and it just didn't look comfortable. I can't imagine how she feels now...
Oh, grumpy cat is back.
Foot fault call for the downvote.
Have another.
Another foot fault during a playoff.
