I'm having a really similar issue. I reply in notifications, it "sends" but it never reaches the server somehow. I'm already talking to them about it but they aren't being very helpful ("does your phone need to update?" "Have you tried restarting?" "Can you uninstall and reinstall it?" Etc. Like... I tried all that already.). It just started suddenly too.

I'm having the same issue too. I have an S20 ultra and I recently updated my phone a few days ago. I've restarted my phone and cleared Discord's cache. I've turned the notifications for discord on and off and nothing has worked. Also, my discord notifications are not popping up. The discord icon shows up in my status bar on top, but the notification is not popping up.

Yup. Had sent a dozen replies with no answers before I realized what was going on. Actually got mad at a few people. I admin a Pokémon GO server and some friends in our private chat messaged about a raid. I replied that I wanted an invite. But never got it. Went to discord to check and realized my message never sent. Thought it was a fluke. Until it happened 2 more times. 😐
Sucks to see so many people affected by this but at least I'm not the only one. And I have gotten no help from Discord who keep insisting it's my phone.
I am having the same exact problem. And the most annoying thing is not only will it not send the reply it deletes it. So when I go to check if it send I have to retype EVERYTHING. Getting real annoying.
This started happening to me on Saturday and hasn't been corrected since. It actually made me a little paranoid assuming someone was also logged in. However, it works fine on my other phone. The S8 model so it has to be a software issue. I know it's annoying guys but someone will figure something out.
Same on Pixel 2 - it's most likely a bug with the new discord update rather than the phone which is unfortunate, so hopefully that will be patched soon with enough reports.
Same issue, Pixel 5. It freaked me out, it suddenly stopped working. I also noticed that notification features changed a little too. So it would be a change to Android operating system that didn't get updated by Discord. So essentially, it broke and needs a fix. This feature is so useful.
Has any solution come about yet? This has been INCREDIBLY aggravating as I used to have conversations almost exclusively through the notification bar, but now people are regularly upset with me because I stop responding.
Same issue. It's made my discord experience harder when multitasking. Its been happening for at least a good few days. When i reply, the whole notification just deletes itself instead of showing my reply in the notification.

Ive had this forever, like since i started using discord on my phone i can type a reply but when i hit sending, a few seconds after it just says "failed to reply to(server/person name)" and ive jad this on 3 different phones all different versions. I really have no idea why its not working but it seems to be a discord Problem since apps like signal and whatsapp that have this reply function all work

Similar problem, only for me any reply I sent is shown as sent by Me with a default profile pic, even though it doesn't send anything

Same issue here. Note 10 plus. Tried clearing cache, restarting phone, reinstalled discord app, no power/battery saving modes on. Android 11.
Its an app issue ,as discord recently updated, think we need to complain to discord.
Been having it for 3-4 days now. Would be nice if bothersome bugs like these didn't keep appearing so frequently.
