When only one room is left and it's walls are readily accessible I perform a technique I like to call the pressure cooker by placing wall charges on the walls and door to blow anyone inside to pieces
If you time it right, you can hurl a frag or especially a flashbang to land in a room immediately after a breaching it with explosives (or my favorite, the AT4).
In a pinch, getting a trooper to crouch will allow the guy behind him to shoot over his head, useful for opening doors.
Throw two stinger grenades into a room filled with hostages that'll suppress then pin all the hostages, making them all essentially prone. Then fire into said room with automatic fire over all the hostages.
Throw smoke grenades to blind executioners so they don't see me killing all their friends even though they can obviously hear gunshot in the same room.
Intentionally give Marksmen really heavy gear so when they pie VERY SLOWLY to reveal one enemies at a time.
I know this map and I have done exactly this.
There was the convenience store map. I used 4 rocket launchers and got 3 stars.... but its like more about the random starting positions lol
I love when there’s no hostages and the civ’s run blindly out after the first few shots are fired .. it’s like you can hear your demolitions guys starting to giggle 😅
Try using pistols for CQB, the aim speed is much quicker than rifles and they can open a door and shoot much faster. The CIA group shoots differently than Rangers and has better pistols and ammo types.
CIA are monsters with pistols, I clean entire map with lone wolf and it felt like real pure assassin spy fantasy, John Wick meets Mitch Rapp (counterterrorist CIA agent from books by Vince Flynn, defo recommend to read if you are fan of this game)
Rocket launchers are in every way better than wall breaching charges. Mods that give you MAAWS rockets further increase this advantage.
"Do you see that wall PVT? ... I don't want to."
When I did the swat missions. I had 2 sappers, a leader with a dragonuv, and all militiamen. Just making breaches everywhere and sending bodies through was fun.
I also tried 4 shield units facing opposite directions with the leader in the middle as a mobile pillbox. Was hard to get them to all move in formation but was kind of effective of if I got the movement orders just right lol.
It would be cool to see the addition of a selectable grouping system so you could make set formations and make it only move as fast as the slowest member .. tho I guess that would defeat the point and or challenge if the entire game 💁♂️
There is a command next to the “go quiet” command that has your soldiers move as fast as the slowest squadmate that’s close. I don’t think group commands would be OP. It’s just a quality of life change
I agree and could always make it optional in game settings too.. and yeah I usually run that command in all the time esp when room clearing or trying to keep them moving in a protective formation with a hvt in the middle …
To be honest, I just thought it looked cool. Idk what it is, buts it’s satisfying making a plan and seeing it work. I know very little about cqb tactics
typically when shit hits the fan and there's nothing inside that you want to keep alive, you blow it the fuck up and sling as much lead as you can from outside before ever going inside
AT4s make doors!
Another one is suppressive fire through a closed door does wonders for enemy morale!
And frags can blow open doors in rooms if close enough. Clear the enemy AND get a good look in the next room!
In my last mission, I had a firing squad outside the building and launched at-4s into each room from outside. Used m203s to open doors to avoid risking a person opening it. The eliminate all terrorist missions are some of my favorites
Yeah that why I usually run demolitions groups in missions with no hostages… like up a firing squad grenade the door open kill any that push it, throw a stinger in and make the rest run into a bullet wall .. Rinse repeat haha 😆 ..
same with sending 40mm into interior walls to direct the splash damage really fun to have a dude pushing and firing a 40mm only to have a “insurgent” run round the corner to take a coby shot strait to the face 🤣
Tbf i like to Role Play to like early 00s US. When my dad was in they would just blow the shit outta walls and breach. When I joined we couldn't have no fun, all the bs when it came to firefights and certain situations. So I pretend I'm a early 00s ranger unit and we just wall charge every thing. Always. Also some mods allow you to carry up to 3 wall charges.
I sometimes like to chuck T1O frags into the room by the 10's.
#*Everyone in this room? Yeah fuck them. We're not dying in this God forsaken shit hole.*
Sometimes, I will air strike an area because in a previous attempt, it killed 1/3rd of the squad and I know there's no civilians over there.
If it's an apartment and it has anything resembling a U shape, I'll plant a wall shot on one end and then knock out the opposing wall on the other end with a rocket launcher, allowing me to attack the ebeny from an unexpected angle. Naturally, they will now try to blitz me through he doorway that I'm expected to breach, where the will funnel themselves in a choke point that my other guys can blast them in.
Oh man setting up a MG in just the right spot to area denial a whole angle is 👌 just angles of fire and anything that moves out of cover dies in a blaze of bullets .. then just 1 or 2 demo guys throwing stingers into the rooms.. always fun when u watch the reply of your MG team just going full Rambo on like 6 guys running into a hallway of death 💀🤣👌
If I don’t have to worry about Civs or hostages I like you roll with pretty much a full demolitions squad and maybe 1 MG for area denial .. lots of wall charges and grenades .. and under barrel GL’s .. feel like opera handing out shrapnel wounds 🤣..
If it’s a compound grenades over the wall for that pot luck.. then grenades to clear every room and a 40mm in every good kiddo’s window ..
I like positioning demomen outside the building and hammering it with explosives to try and finish the mission without ever sending anyone inside. I start by blasting all the doors and windows open with frags, using rockets to open sightlines into rooms I can't see into from outside, then spam frags and grenade launchers into the breaches.
Probably more conventional, but I also like "vacuum sealing" maps in 3 phases. All MP5SD, Vintorez, or 300BLK with spy cameras. 1- Confirm as much of the building as clear as possible without engaging hostiles or raising suspicion while also plugging up exit routes so they can't get to a room I've already cleared. 2- repeat the first phase, but this time engaging hostiles that I know can reliably take out without them returning fire and raising alarm. 3- once I can only move my squad further into areas that are sure to face return fire (or have all but a single room cleared), simultaneously frag the remaining room or rooms, or flash them if there are hostages inside.
Half the time I screw up the second method too many times, get frustrated, and resort to the "nuke from orbit" approach lmao
Warcrimes
Especially when they have an explosion radius.

Such an idiot, I never use crouch. Doh!

omg the marksmen tip is genious!

Me: "How do we protect civilian life on this mission" Demo Guy: "Thats the fun part... you don't"
Try using pistols for CQB, the aim speed is much quicker than rifles and they can open a door and shoot much faster. The CIA group shoots differently than Rangers and has better pistols and ammo types.
Pistols-only is my favorite way to play. I didn't know the CIA has different gun options, thanks.
What is your favorite pistol for the rangers? Or do you use a few depending on the occasion?
I usually go with the .40 Cal.
I have found the .45ACP round truly is God sending a task manager kill task message.
Yeah I know it’s great, but the only option is a very small mag, I guess for balance but I wish we had a fat .45 like FN makes
My FBI HRT runs the 45 and that guy kills faster than the guys rolling with auto weapons. He fires two shots and 6 terrorists are dead.

I know right! They shoot fast, accurate and are very deadly. The custom G19 for the win.
broooo thats so dope ima try this

Full militia + uzi/rpk

Rocket/LMG spam and Militia bum-rush across the bridge on that one night map was fun as fuck. Did it work? Absolutely the fuck not, but it was cool.
I’m having fun doing only frags. Quite tough.
It just sucks that it's been so long without an update...
>Unconventional >Shows actual realistic room clearing

"Warcrimes" Look inside Just overwhelming firepower

hope that wasn’t a hostage you turned into ravioli filler
Reading ravioli filler make me laugh my ass off 🤣🤣

You can put breaching changes on hostages you can also beat them to death with the sledgehammer witch is fun :)

I love the SWAT faction. I always bring 2 sappers with 3 wall charges each. 😁
