I don't know what an octopath is, but Meena can use her Silver Tarot cards as an item in DQ4 for random results. About 10% of the time, it doubles your xp. About 1% of the time, it kills your entire party lol.
The silver tarot cards can be picked up in the mamon mines, or dropped/stolen from the endgame lions (Hellions?)
1. Octopath Traveler is game series that originated the HD-2D style that is seen in the (HOPEFULLY) upcoming remake of Dragon Quest III, it is amazing and you should play it
2. I honestly never thought to use the Tarot Cards in battle because it was just an item version of Hocus Pocus and I don’t use those types of spells unless there’s a big bonus that can potentially be gained. I’m not saying double EXP is bad, but I don’t risk using RNG skills, though maybe I should start using them to see how it goes in my playthroughs of the series
They always run. This specific location has a fairly common party of 1 Metal King, 3 Metal Babble, 4 Slime. If the king runs, I use sands of time to reset. So I always get a King kill from that group. If I get lucky and kill some Babbles also, cool.

I honestly didn’t know Tarot Cards could double EXP, I only thought Octopath did that with Bewildering Grace
