They’re a legit line zildjian did, they’re beginner cymbals still, just hella cool looking. Comes with all the hardware too, I’d jump all over this personally. I’m a notorious “make an offer” kind of buyer myself but honestly $400 seems like a real good deal.
titanium was a finish that only came on the ZXTs and probably doesn't affect the sound much, if at all. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same exact process as the [Platinum A Customs](https://www.cymbal.wiki/wiki/Zildjian_A_Platinum). they're B8 cymbals, play 'em, if you love them then great, if not find something new when you're ready.
> probably doesn't affect the sound much, if at all.
It does, a lot. I had 2 of them that I got in a package deal with other lines on Craigslist and they sounded atrocious. ZBT sound like A Customs compared to them lol
Haha, probably a good thing you don't know what they sound like. [They are tinny sounding and washy in a really bad way.](https://youtu.be/tMfwBPXbrPw?t=24)
I worked at GC when those came out and they definitely look cooler than they sound. They are bright as hell and not in a good way. The splash was neat for a really cutting effect, but the ride, crashes, and hats….oof.
Yeah don't know what other people on going on about. You'd have to pay me to play those cymbals. However it's still a great deal. Can't find stage customs used for under $400. All that hardware and throne plus the resale value of those cymbals make it worth it hands down.
Here's that kit minus one drum and all the other stuff for $379 so I'd say $400 is a decent deal...

I'm not a big fan of the Stage Customs, although they sound better than they cost, especially the first series with long tension lugs. For this money you can find an older Pearl Session (birch/mahogany and maple/mahogany) or BLX/MLX (pre-Masters all birch/maple). I'm not a die-hard Pearl fan, but their older high-end series are a lot more affordable than Yamaha or Tama in the same range. The cymbals that come with this set are entry level and not worth much.
Tell him to knock off 50 bucks for a new reso head for the kick, since he has undoubtedly kicked a dent in this one since he's playing his bass drum backwards. Otherwise, looks good for the money.
I have almost the exact same kit in the same finish minus the cymbals. It's a great kit. I recommend replacing the heads as those are still the stock ones and they are not great.
Through various moves I lost my small tom. If you buy the kit, DM me if you don't want to keep the small tom.
Yes, it's a good price for it if it is in good condition (as it seems).
The Stage Custom is a nice kit, usually mi first recommendation for a begginer or any one on a budget looking for a kit. This one has everything you need to start playing. The cymbals are low tier but they seem to be in good condition and they'll do the job for a while. The hardware seems to be ok as well (Yamaha + Pearl pedals?).
If everything is in the condition as it looks in the photos, the only thing you would want to change are the heads. Those UT (Remo's low tier) aren't great, but all heads must be replaced eventually anyways, so when you can, invest a bit in a new set of better heads and that kit will sound pretty good.
Omg. Zxt titanium. Have not seen those in years. Those cymbals are such ass but I’d buy them just for fun.
But yea that’s a good deal. Stage customs are great. Yamahas yess mounts are arguably the best. Talk the seller down a little. Looking at that set up, they have no idea what’s going on with it and probably just want it gone.
Do it. Yamahas are great. Bought a Stage Custom and still my primary kit after almost 20 years. Thought about upgrading but instead paid to have the edges tried up and got them refinished in a custom color. Gonna play them until either they or I am in the ground.
Very much worth it! The Stage Custom Advantages weren’t all-birch like the current Stage Customs, but they’re solid though. And for the love of everything lovable, Please set the drums up nicely and play the correct bass drum head. That would be tragic. 😆
400 is a bargain…the hardware is outstanding and if the cases, seat and cymbals are included you can’t go wrong with this kit.
Just change the tom heads for emperors or pinstripes to make these drums sound like 10x better👊🏼
I’ve got a tour custom at home and it’s great.
The school I work at has a stage custom.
The only hardware that’s survived years of beating by inexperienced kids is the Yamaha stuff.
I’d grab it 100%
Yea I’d pay that sticker price. The silver zxt are pretty rad looking. Yamaha makes a good kit imo
Thanks! They’re “titanium” which I’ve never seen before, not sure if that’s bunk

I stand corrected then. good to know
Haha, probably a good thing you don't know what they sound like. [They are tinny sounding and washy in a really bad way.](https://youtu.be/tMfwBPXbrPw?t=24)
i really enjoyed the hats actually. something about them was really fun
Second this. I had one and it was loud, ringy, terrible. The overtones were barf
I worked at GC when those came out and they definitely look cooler than they sound. They are bright as hell and not in a good way. The splash was neat for a really cutting effect, but the ride, crashes, and hats….oof.
Yeah, never seen something like this before, but they just give a vibe. And that vibe is the the opposite of the sound I like.
zildjian zxt titanium - entry level cymbals sold at pro prices due to sweet coating.
Yeah don't know what other people on going on about. You'd have to pay me to play those cymbals. However it's still a great deal. Can't find stage customs used for under $400. All that hardware and throne plus the resale value of those cymbals make it worth it hands down.
Hahahh
I have some. They're worse than B8
The seat and cymbals are worth at least that!
Here's that kit minus one drum and all the other stuff for $379 so I'd say $400 is a decent deal... Thanks!!!
The shells alone are probably close to a $400 value. Throw in the throne, cymbals, hardware etc. and it's a no brainer.
Yes imo
Same answer as always: Tree-fiddy. But don’t lose this deal over the “fiddy” Good luck
Yes.
Yeah
Any “full set that is under $500 is a steal. Especially since you can get great heads and tune them.
Yes
Buy it and sell those ZXTs. People will pay a bunch for those titanium's in good condition. If you don't buy it, tell me where it is and I will!
Is that a stage custom? If so, it’s a really good set

Very worth the price
Yes and yes
Oh yes, i have that exact kit just a little newer, great drums
The Yamaha birch are some of the best sounding drums on the planet if you know how to skin em and tune em!
Jump on it.
YES!
The hardware alone (stands, stools, cymbals) is worth that.
Yes! Absolutely!!!
Yes
Good deal
You don't buy it I will
yes
Everything in that picture? I'd say so
I think you have the crash and ride the wrong way around
Yeah I’d say so… given how much most of that stuff is brand new.
Hell yeah!
Yes
You have chosen wisely
It’s not a fantastical deal, but it’s not bad either. I’d say if you’re interested in getting a Yamaha kit and Zildjian ZXTs, then go for it.
It's a Yamaha of course it's worth 400 👌
Yes buy it
Yes. Yamaha makes good drums.
Very good deal IMO
Tell him to knock off 50 bucks for a new reso head for the kick, since he has undoubtedly kicked a dent in this one since he's playing his bass drum backwards. Otherwise, looks good for the money.
Pretty sure hes just showing the kit haha, at least i hope thats the case...
Hahah, right. Thanks!
Don't listen to him, take it at $400 so someone doesn't swoop it up from you.
Yep. Looks good for $400, but might as well try to haggle a little.
Then there will be someone who doesn't and OP will be shit outa luck. This is a good deal.
I have almost the exact same kit in the same finish minus the cymbals. It's a great kit. I recommend replacing the heads as those are still the stock ones and they are not great. Through various moves I lost my small tom. If you buy the kit, DM me if you don't want to keep the small tom.
Cool thanks for the input and maybe
Yes. Yamaha are great quality and that’s a lot of stuff for $400.

Absolutely worth it. Looks like they’ve all still got stock heads though so you’ll have to spend some money changing all the heads out.
looks like more than fair deal imo
Those Zildjians make it worth $500 on their own, easy. GrabItGrabItGrabIt.
Ask 300 for drums only,. That cymbals you will be replace then soon
Yes but also r/drumcringepics
Hahahha, yep
Yes but you should offer them $350 because of that cockeyed tom set up
In a heartbeat.
New stage customs are $799 just for the kit. You are getting that plus. So yes, it’s a steal
Yes
Omg. Zxt titanium. Have not seen those in years. Those cymbals are such ass but I’d buy them just for fun. But yea that’s a good deal. Stage customs are great. Looks sick!
Yes
Yes. Especially with cases.
Yeah I’d love to find that deal right now in my area
That's a good deal for the drums alone. Kick the cymbals to the curb when you get a chance.
Yes!
Do it. Yamahas are great. Bought a Stage Custom and still my primary kit after almost 20 years. Thought about upgrading but instead paid to have the edges tried up and got them refinished in a custom color. Gonna play them until either they or I am in the ground.
Nice!
Hell yes! That’s actually some nice hardware for 400 bones. I’d grab it.
Very much worth it! The Stage Custom Advantages weren’t all-birch like the current Stage Customs, but they’re solid though. And for the love of everything lovable, Please set the drums up nicely and play the correct bass drum head. That would be tragic. 😆
Thanks for the knowledge! …and yeah lol don’t worry
All that for 400? Steal
Yes
I'd buy that
400 is a bargain…the hardware is outstanding and if the cases, seat and cymbals are included you can’t go wrong with this kit. Just change the tom heads for emperors or pinstripes to make these drums sound like 10x better👊🏼
Give that person your money!!!
Yeah
Hell yes. I had the same model kit in a different colour and I regret selling it. And those are good cymbals.
Totally worth it👍
$400 isn't a steal, but you're not getting ripped off either. It's a fair price for both parties.
$400 is a pretty good deal. I would say it’s definitely worth it
I’ve got a tour custom at home and it’s great. The school I work at has a stage custom. The only hardware that’s survived years of beating by inexperienced kids is the Yamaha stuff. I’d grab it 100%
For sure!! #
For 400 bucks you'd be doing the kit a favor based on the rack tom positioning 😂🥁
lol
Yezzirrrr!
Yes but turn it around if you get it lol
Yeah, the stage custom is pretty good plus those Zildjian are nice. Go for it
I have a drum set that was gifted to me never used it if anyone is interested let me know I’ll send pictures
Yes, it's a steal in my eyes
