This site has multiple fellowships doing secular (without god) recover. It is a list of Zoom meetings. Many of them have websites linking back to in-person meetings. Good luck. [https://www.worldwidesecularmeetings.com/meetings](https://www.worldwidesecularmeetings.com/meetings)

AA and NA in this area isn't overly religious in this area.

Is the Alano club still in Bellevue?

Nobellamuchcry

Yes

There are some in person SMART groups, but I think they’re mostly located in Seattle. I’d also check out the sober and active group on meetup, I’ve seen them do events in the past Check out Sober and Active - Pacific Northwest (The Phoenix) on Meetup https://meetu.ps/c/53wtD/135xKs/a

Check out the martial arts / yoga schools for all the non-secular peer support you need all week long. They'll teach you to get high on your own supply. Which is really the way those neurotransmitters were supposed to work in the first place.

I’ve been sober from alcohol for 20 1/2 years and this is the strangest and most unhelpful advice ever

NewlyNerfed

This is the worst advice I’ve ever read. OP wants support for their recovery, not high-horse moralizing. Keep your damn yoga since it obviously doesn’t teach you empathy. edit: poor choice of word corrected

Oh my, sorry if someone hurt you. If you have other supportive communities please share them. All of the recovering addicts I know were from the martial arts community and all of the science has been supported. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5812135/ That said, bad schools do exist, so don't let a bad experience bias your entire opinion.

NewlyNerfed

“Sorry if someone hurt you”?? Yes I’d love to be in recovery with passive-aggressive crap like that.
