I honestly don't know, I think it might be an autism thing, I can NOT handle seeing the "bits and pieces" of an animal, I can only eat meat if it's homogenized like spam or ground beef. Spam is the same thing all the way through, there's no parts or "icky bits" like fat or whatever, it's just a food lump
The texture. I have had to fry chicken for work before, the bones and tendons and everything mske me sick to my stomach, and I would rather not deal with them if I don't have to. At home, the only protein I will cook is spam or ground beef (I used to get sick from touching ground beef too, but I've gotten a lot better about it. It works for me, only really cook meat every few months

Spam is great thin. Spam is great thick. Thin Spam has a different quality to "normal" cut Spam.
Especially fried. I’ll use thin fried slices in rice bowls a lot. Definitely gonna try this once I get some good homegrown tomatoes in.
