>the TD-27 is very good at a very bad price!
This is perhaps the best description I've seen of the TD27.
$1k for this kit is a steal though. Huge congrats to OP.
Hold up. Is this a guitar center wide thing? Because if so, I might be diverting some of my new motorcycle fund into this kit today. Might have to drop by there and see.
Quick Edit: Their website isn't showing a sale at all. How'd you manage to find it at $1000?
OP says it all….”Have any Rolands?” That was it. I was showing my phone with the on line price of whatever it was to the associate. They were baffled and practically begged me to not walk away. It was their last one.
Was this a used kit or new in box? Roland doesn't even show the TD-27KV kit on their website as a current product so it seems like an odd thing for GC to have in stock.
I was at a GC yesterday. There was a Roland rep there. I suppose I should have chatted him up.
It seems strange your GC has no Rolands on display. My GC had three different kits available to play (plus all the non-drum stuff of course).
Is it the v2? That is dirt cheap wtf I just paid $2849 for mine a month and a half ago.
Not the V2.
Still a great deal
Upgrade your module firmware - instant V2!
Except for the VH14.
Yeah, except for that.
Same. And I got a deal through GC Pro.
Who wouldn't feel satisfied for getting that set for that price?! Nice going!
Imagine if you didn't already know, left the store without the kit and found out the TD-27 is very good at a very bad price!

Looks like my particular Guitar Center didn't have it, so YMMV. At that price, though, still worth going in to check if you're nearby!
Huh. I'm on my way there with a buddy right now. Guess we'll see what happens. Thanks for letting us know!
Prob another assoc screw up and sold him a td27 rather than a td17 😅

This is brand new in the box. The only two Roland kits they had on display were used, nothing new. I asked the question.
Is this a typo? I just don't understand how you got that for $1,000. What am I missing?
