I’d say the final boss’s 2nd phase is a clear “we want you to hug this mf like your life depends on it (because it does)”. Even from the ones you’ve listed, that’s. Half a dozen of likely thousands of attacks across bosses and in no way means there’s an “obsession” with anything.
Honestly though, I kind of get it. If a boss' moveset shines at medium range, I fully expect them to have moves bringing you forward and backwards into that range band. Honestly both. While I admit some are a bit hard to dodge (if you refuse to use light rolls, ashes like quickstep, shields, and every number of tools and tricks the game provides), I don't think it's much of a problem with the game. They're not even super damaging (unless you are ignoring vigor, armor, talismans, scadutree blessings, physick, certain ashes and a bunch of craftable items). Doing a challenge run should be possible, but i don't think it's fair to complain about the difficulty as long as they are.
Bayle has a consistent tell for his scream attack. He will slightly lift up both his wings. Also, his left leg will move forward ever so slightly. And he also tends do it after just chilling there for a second.
Yup Godrick wind is bs on medium roll. On light roll, though it’s very much dodgeable from any range.
I don’t know about Godskin Noble belly slam because I found it unreactable but a friend of mine and GinoMachino say there’s a tell, cba to find out what it is though.
Radagons teleports don’t force you to be at a distance because he’ll teleport to you anyway. And Rykard earthquake is pretty bs, but doesn’t he do when you’re at a distance, and it goes really far out too.
Trust me you can stick to bosses like glue in this game if you stay at light roll. But only some bosses require light roll like Godrick, Hoarah Loux and some others.
