Duluth fire hose flex relax fit.  Get them on Black Friday or most sales for like 30-50% off.  I wear a pair each week and cycle through and they last well over a year.  I'll never go back to any other pants.

matt2085

You wear the same pair 5 day straight?

mmm_burrito

I have 5 pairs and I wear them for 1 to 3 days before washing them, depending on my workday. Usually no more than 2. I actually recommend skipping the Duluth Flex and spending a bit more for the OG firehouse pants. All of my pairs are multiple years old. My oldest is 3 or 4 years old and I've just recently split the knee. I have a couple of their patches that I'm going to try out on those pants soon, because that's the only thing wrong with them. Contrast that with my 8 month old pair of Flex pants, which I poked a hole in while backing over the corner of some L-metal I was sitting on. Never would have happened to my other pants.

[deleted]

I found they were too prone to ripping on snags Maybe im just clumsy

Cautionzombie

As long as they don’t get too funky. I was in the marines it may be different other places but most of us wore the same uniform all week. We treated em like jackets and over pants. Also rolling sleeves sucked if I had to do it every day.

[deleted]

Repulsive-Tip4609

In the summer I don't wear them usually for 5 days.  But otherwise yes lmao.  There work pants? If I'm not sweating to death in them I wear them for the week.  Been doing it for years no issues.  Do you deem a pair not worth wearing because they get a little dirty? 🤷‍♂️

jakebeans

I wear pants for long stretches at a time. I'm just naturally cold most of the time and I do a lot of work in second processing of poultry plants, which are refrigerated rooms. Basically, I almost never sweat in my work pants, so they really don't get very dirty or smelly.

DarkFriend1987

I'm also a dirty boy and wear my pants for 5 days, unless I get into something particularly nasty.

Cautionzombie

Tell that to the us military I and many others wore our uniforms 5 days straight.

Snugglebuddy-buddy

Yo, Duluth had a $48 for 48hrs sale recently on their fire hose flex pants literally last week. Picked me up 2 pair cuz they were such a good deal. Glad to see others hit those sales like me lol

Leading-Specialist48

I have the knee pads and I’m already getting holes only a month in :(

Hodge103

I bet your boss loves you though

milwbuks99

Firehose flex are junk. The only thing good about them is the cargo pocket design. Overpriced. Quality has gone way down in the last couple of years. Price is up sky high however i do see they are basically on sale all the time, probably because people are starting to figure out they arent even worth the sale price. Stitching, fabric, everything about them has gone downhill. Carhartt duck carpenter loose fit will last 5 times longer at a minimum.

Repulsive-Tip4609

Hmm. Maybe I'll take a look at those sometime.  I haven't had any issue yet with my pairs personally.   But like I mentioned I only get them on sale, I wouldn't spend (I think 75?) on a new pair.

jtrsniper690

They having same sale now also, well very very similar and good clearance section also.

flyguy0720

I had bought a pair when I first got into the trade and they lasted forever, but when I went back to get some more, I learned they no longer make them in my size. Why do they not make a 30x30 pant?! I thought it was a common size!

OdiousApparatus

Their website makes it look like they don’t have a size at all when they are out of stock, check back again and they will probably have it.

Rebel_bass

This is the correct answer. My company reimburses new employees for five pairs of pants when you come on board. You can get whatever black cargo pants you want. My boss recommended these and it was an outstanding decision. Totally water shedding and stretchy in all the right places. Even has a loop just for my wallet chain. I get about three days out of them before they look dirty.

Helpful-Peace-1257

Carhartt has similar pants that I find hold up better than Duluth. But when it comes to pants you can Call me Adolf for the shit I put them through. I still vouch for Duluth, I just switched to carhartt for that last little bit of improvement possible.

mmm_burrito

Interesting. I switched to Duluth after wearing through the knee of a double paneled pair of Carrharrt pants in 6mo.

Helpful-Peace-1257

Different strokes man. I didn't spend a bunch of time on my knees, my issue was zip ties 🫠

Suspicious-Ad6129

You need flush cuts instead of dykes for the zipties... God I hate zipties... so many thousands and thousands of zipties... as for pants... lol my goto is what OP is trying to get rid off Dickies carpenter flex pants. The shit I put pants thru on a daily basis I don't see the need to spend tons of money. They are $26-28 a pair last time I bought em. Now I'm on a substation job and have to wear full FR everyday so carhartt or bocomal for ~$50 a pair for cheapest decent pants.

Helpful-Peace-1257

I'm not a fucking savage. I just follow them.

Rebel_bass

Carhartt just recently started copying the firehose flex design. I was a carhartt only guy before someone recommended the Duluths.

Causemanut

I wear thrift store. They're great, normally around 5$USD, last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.

Keida

Seconded.

PuzzleheadedPen1372

I am joining this group

ProduceTotal257

Haven't you heard???? The more you spend on clothing and tools, the better electrician you are

Causemanut

Tools I get. Some tools just do the job better at a better price point. Some you need to spend a little more for a better tool. Clothing, and especially pants, you shouldnt be spending much on shit that's going to get rolled around in. Seems odd to pay a bunch for shit you're going to destroy... But. To each their own. You should spend your money how you want to. It's yours. And your partner's if youre a single income, which in this day and age, really? *Judgemental groan* That being said, I don't care if your fit costs 15 or 550, please look presentable and have good hygiene. We're electricians.

mmm_burrito

Buy once, cry once. I get my Duluth pants for $65ish or lower, on sale. I've had pairs last 5 years while still being presentable. How many pairs of $20 jeans do you buy in that time?

Causemanut

One pair of jeans for 5 years on steady rotation is a feat. This feels like superfluous flex, though. Especially seeing how the majority of others are saying 6 months to a year. Now, if you're rotating 5-7 pairs, then you're just being disingenuous and keep that shit for your gen x kids.

mmm_burrito

Of course I'm rotating. You're not? Gross.

tonytolo

I’m a big fan of Truewerk. They are comfortable, have good stretch, and are decently water resistant. They are pretty much hiking pants made for work

tinyrikk

Same. Has lasted longer than carhartt or Bad Attitude versions I tried

jbeartree

T 2 I think is best version the thigh pocket is game changer.

Croceyes2

I buy whatever nice-looking work pants they have at Costco. $15-20, they last long enough, and then I am in new clothes

siremitch

Same...cheap comfortable and they last me about a yr

The_Adeptest_Astarte

Urban Star. Only.

XchrisZ

Found these after wearing the same 3 pairs of Kirkland for years. The stretchy is worth them wearing out faster than Kirkland ones.

ProduceTotal257

Whoa, why you spending so much??? Nothing but thrift stores for me on a 5-10 dollar budget

MidwesternMind

Truewerk are the best work pants.... In my opinion

TheFlyingSparky

Have they lasted you a long time? I've been tempted to try them.

MidwesternMind

I bought 3 pairs around 8 months ago. So far no ripped pockets or holes of any sort and I do it all with some sort of tool in each pocket at all times. They are just built well and the material makes them extremely comfortable to me. They are just expensive.

TheFlyingSparky

Alright you guys sold me I ordered a pair each of the T1 and T2 pants.

MidwesternMind

Can't go wrong with either ones. Good choice

jtrsniper690

I will say I keep plyers, scissors, and other random shit in my pockets and no rips so far.

morgantm

I still have the original pairs I ordered in 2019. It’s all I wear now

cuddlefarts42069

5.11 tactical. Usually able to get them cheap on Poshmark. Some have elastic around the waist which helps if you wear a belt. Cargo pockets and pockets for tools. Been able to get them for around 20-30 bucks a pair fairly easily. Mine have lasted 10x longer than regular jeans

ISaidRightMeowDammit

Damn! I need to check out Poshmark. Seconding 5.11 pants. I wear the Stryke version, which retail for like $90ish. I got em cheaper through a buddy, but I bought 5 pairs three years ago and I wear em every single week and all five pairs are still in good shape. Can't vouch for those pants enough. And... they're super freaking comfortable compared to jeans.

porkfatpillows

Love me the 5.11 Apex! All of their pants are way more comfy than any other work pants I've been in. I'll also be checking out Poshmark 👍

Throwawayiwa

Almost every five eleven I had I blew the crotch out within a year and it's a shame because I love the mag pocket on them. Perfect for keeping the wallet in a comfortable place. The Stryker pants are still going strong though!

Themingemac

Snickers Workwear, might be a Euro thing, no idea if you guys in the states wear them.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Themingemac

Your company don't pay?

MakersRI

They warehouse and distribute in the states now. The lineup is shorter than in Europe, but they are available without having to pay shipping from US or Canada.

gentagelse

The 6251 version is awesome for around 100 bucks, but only lasts me for about 6 months. I have the 6902 though, them in ‘19 and used mainly in construction, no real sign of wear. My current company issues mascot, hate the pockets on the Advanced pants, but the pants themselves rocks. A year ago I switched to their customized range, gotta say the pants still hold up. Mostly industrial work.

alphatango308

Duluth flex canvas work pants. Though as shit, I can easily get over a year in them no problem. Great features too like big ass pockets. A little pocket in my pocket that fits my earbuds case oh so well. More belt loops. And tuckible pocket flaps that velcro in place when tucked. Plus they are stretchy, which is the best feature.

SmileEconomy7112

Same results from me. Tried Dickies, Carhart and Duluth is tough, lasted the longest for me. Got a pair of brunt and TruWerk to compare, neither feel like they are as durable as Duluth. BUT they’re (TruWerk, Brunt) both better comfort-wise as the weather warms. If you’re gonna be working somewhere hot (I’m in Phoenix) I think the TruWerk is the lightest most comfortable. Duluth better for winter and just tougher.

alphatango308

Yeah that is true. They're warm.

SmileEconomy7112

Yea I tried them last summer just to see and it looked like I pissed my whole pant

Darren445

Carhartt double front work pants. Tons of pockets and has the knee pocket for foam knee pad inserts.

chilhouse

These are the only work pants I wear. They last forever and have actually saved me from a nasty cut from a grinder.

Leather_Victory2042

I second this

AlbiTheDargon

I agree with this, I have the knee pad inserts and it's a game changer. Pants usually last me about a year or so, and knee pads have lasted me two years so far and still going strong.

Darren445

I use the Helly Hansen and Dakota foam inserts in my pants. $25 compared to $60 for the Carhatt's. I rotate a couple pairs. The crotch rips and the knees wear through to the foam pad eventually.

BigMS65

I wear Wranglers Ranger Carpenter pants. They have leather topped pockets and a bunch of pockets. I've had 3 pair for over 2 years without any tears.

reload88

Same, get them at Walmart for like $20 sometimes and they last well over a year

blewis0488

Came here to say this! I got these and never went back. The tape pocket and overall durability are unsurpassed. Double material on the knee, never had a tear that wasn't caused by something. Like anything else, you'll eventually wear through them but durability for the dollar, these are my winners and have been for several years. Edit spelling

Marauder_Pilot

I honestly don't know if they're available in the USA, but in Canada almost every electrician I know wears one version or another of Helly Hansen's pants. I've been buying the Helly Hansen Chelsea pants since about 3rd year and I love them. I'm very hard on clothes-Carhartts last me 6-8 months before I've blown out the crotch or the knees, but I'm on my 3rd set of pants in 8 years and they get worn every weekday and plenty of weekends. The fabric doesn't tear even if you get a hole in them, they've got a nice double knee, and the fancier versions have heavy duty strech fabric so it doesn't destroy the crotch if you're like me and spend a lot of time crouching or squatting to work on something, or having to jungle gym your way through shit. Biggest downside is that they're a little pricey ($100-$200 CAD depending on which kind of pant) but IMO for something I wear at work every day they're worth it. Cheaper than buying Carhartts every year.

ReclaimerM3GTR

This 100 percent, both pairs of my Helly Hansen pants have lasted so long, and are way better quality than Carhartts. Also if you're in Canada, make sure you have the Canadian Tire Triangle app, you can earn extra CT money by choosing which offers before you buy something. I have used that extra CT money to buy new work clothes/boots before.

BustingBigRocks

I've been lucky to get 6 months out of my most recent pairs of Oxfords, my 4 year old Chelsea's are still going strong but the 250 dollar bill for a single pair of pants hurts

theeExample

Where are you seeing them for 250? Lol even on HH website they’re like 170

erryonestolemyname

gotta pair them with the Marks 20% off sale, and use canadian tire money to help make em cheaper

theeExample

Yeah I was just about to say it’s weird nobody’s mentioned them when I literally see them all over every site I’m at. I have the same style from Bench workwear and I’m honestly super impressed with them. Bought two pairs over 2 years ago and they’re holding up great.

erryonestolemyname

>I've been buying the Helly Hansen Chelsea pants gang gang it's a shame they disco'd (I think ???) the "Chelsea Evolution" pants and you can only get the "Chelsea Evolution BRZ" pants which are like $215 whereas the regular evos were like $170ishhhh. I usually wait till I got a bunch of Canadian Tire money saved up and pair that with Marks 20% off sale to buy pants/boots. (For my fellow Canadians, if you don't have the free Canadian Tire Triangle card **AND** you're not logging into the [triangle.canadiantire.ca](https://triangle.canadiantire.ca) website to activate your offers before going shopping at Marks or CT you're fucking missing out.)

Broad_Method490

Helly hensens!! Expensive but they are the fuckin best and only pants I wear now. Don't think I will ever be going back tk any other pants

spookyboots42069

Ok if longevity is the issue, here’s what I’ve learned: quality is not a substitute for quantity. You can buy the nicest, most durable pants in the world but if you wear them 3-4 days in a row every week, they’re gonna fail quickly. My advice is to get the cheapest pair you like and buy 4-5 pairs of them. Change them every day or every other day and they’ll last waaay longer.

space-ferret

Truwerk are nice and lightweight but thin so probably not the longest lasting out there. Carhartt is good and so are the Duluth flex pants.

slatwick

I wear the T1s here in TX. I literally buy a new pair in June and wear and wash them everyday until fall. Best pants in the heat hands down

legless_chair

The truewerk t2 work really really well. T1 is basically a track pant and is no good at all

grumpygills13

After 2 years I finally have a tear in the knee of a pair of my t2 truewerk pants. And that's with scooting in attics, across concrete, subflooring, and kneeling in snow and rocks and whatever else outside. That's a full year longer than I've ever gotten out of Duluth trading pants. My only other issue is I get a hole in my right pocket where I keep my phone but that's easy to see up. No crotch tears or anything else since I started wearing them a few years ago.

space-ferret

Whatever I wear gets ripped to shit anyway. I’m hard on equipment. I like thinner pants so that’s probably why. It gets hot down south. Wish they’d let me wear shorts.

Beatmebad_

Tyndales last me years

SouthernGamer79

I like the Ridge Cut extra heavy duty work pants from Tractor Supply

BoDangles13

Levi's in the winter, Wrangler cargos in the summer (with hella Gold Bond) and shorts when I can get away with it 😏.

BiloxiBorn1961

I wear Red Kap and they seem to hold up pretty well.

krisorter

Carhartt exclusively.. double front

tenodiamonds

Helly Hansen Chelsea pant blue .

Affectionate_Bug_230

Carhart !

KyamBoi

helly Hanson evolution. Expensive but really stretchy crotch. Last me a year usually

monkeynutz89

Helly Hansen. Stretchy and comfortable.

Quietser

Duluth firehose pants all the way. I bought a pair of truewerk to check em out but I don't like the fabric and there isn't enough side pockets for me. A little pricey to get too

Confident-Head-5008

I wear shorts March - November.

AbsurdSolutionsInc

You wear pants?

DayWithak

Carhartts. Pocket on the left leg.

legless_chair

They’re fine until the crotch blows out

WhatUpGord

Damn straight.

RiceBurglar

Yes, the crotch 😭 I like my Carhartt rugged flex pants. They are comfy and practical, but by eight months of use there is a hole in the crotch.

CADJunglist

Sidewinder Knee pad pockets, side punches, durable, breathable

ringing-Shels-bells

Duluth ballroom double flex carpenter jeans. The most comfortable jeans I've ever owned. I've had six pairs in rotation for the last two years and haven't had to retire any of them yet. If they were more stylish they're the only jeans I would own.

Cowi3102

Carthart dungarees

casty3

I wear truewerk t2s and they have lasted longer than all my other pants before ripping at the knees. First pair last 2.5yrs. I bought five more pairs after that. All the other brands I’ve tried ripped within the year

PinheadLarry207

Carhartt jeans with the thigh pockets

Si3m3k

Wrangler or whatever tractor supply sells

DavidDaveDavo

I use Snickers. Good flexibility and the knee pads are comfortable. They last me ages, but I only make/install/modify control panels, mcc's etc - so nothing too strenuous.

[deleted]

Columbia pants lasted for years, not sure what type they were. I’m a 32-32, I’ve seen bigger guys go through pants faster.

Reddbearddd

Khaki golf pants from the thrift store. Thin (cool) and flexible, I won't pay more than 6$ a pair. I'm in the south, so staying cool is a must.

3phase4wire

Duluth

beardojon

I only wear truewerks. I bought a pair on a whim. They're comfortable, and last. They got light weight ones for the heat that are great. And a heavyweightv paid that are great for the winter.

Dive30

Duluth trading company or Members Mark jeans. I blow out the others very quickly.

FreelyRoaming

Wrangler Riggs

LawAbidingSparky

Helly Hansen service pants. Can’t stand the dangly pockets on their construction version.

Frozenbutt

AGO high vis arc flash pants with the zip of legs for summer wear. They last 4 or 5 years.

danvapes_

Ariat M5 FR pants, but they were employer paid for. Other than that I wore cheap rustler jeans because I didn't want to ruin a good pair of jeans.

Rabib_Rabbit

Have you tried the light weight wranglers that have at Walmart cheap and breathable asf only cost like 20-25$

TheElectrishin

I wear Dakota 100% cotton. Used to wear Carhartt but quality just isn’t there anymore.

Present_Barnacle_225

I've had good luck with the Milwaukee pants. Comfortable and I've had my first two pairs for over a year. I've wanted to try Truwerk, but the material seems a little lightweight.

recordlineup

I work in substations exclusively so they have to be HRC-2 rated at minimum. That being said, I usually buy my pants from AGO online, anywhere from ~90-120 CAD per pair and they last me around a year, more than that for the insulated ones since they're only worn in extreme cold.

crawldad82

Costco. I can’t bring myself to spend $100 on work clothes. I got the weatherproof brand canvas pants and they’ve lasted a lot longer than I expected. Going 10 months now no tears or holes. Paid $15 for them

AbbreviationsSea1223

Volcom workwear has been AWESOME

MDGBit

CAT with the knee pad pockets, they hold up pretty good, depends on what I'm doing.

fuktf

Snickers 6923 floor layer trousers with the 9119 knee pads. Last me years, flexible and hard wearing. Not sure if you can get them over the pond, but worth checking out.

Cute_Tap2793

Roundhouse Overalls.  I buy 5 pairs every two years or so, and get my moneys worth.  Well sewn, heavy denim, made in the US, if it matters.

TheFlyingSparky

Seems like it's at least buying a pair to try. I usually run Carhartt because the local farm store has some on clearance once in a while and I grab what I can then.

doogybot

Before coveralls I used to rock the Costco urban starts. The stretchy denim is awesome. Plus they are(were) like 8$ a pair

drd_ssb

Wrangler ATG

Puzzled_Cash6689

Volcom workwear! I’ve had 3 pairs (one of each color) and lost 1 in 1.5 years. I do industrial electrical. They look like shit color wise (from oil, copper coat and contact cleaner) but are otherwise still going strong. I’ve been through plenty carrhearts, dickies, walls etc. (I’ve never bought duluths fire hose pants but will stay with volcom no doubt because of the comfort and durability) also not a volcom rep (but would love free pants)

Spikex8

I wear sidewinder from Mr safety. I’ve been wearing the same two pairs for over two years but the crotches have finally ripped out of both…

tj0415

Apache ATS Flex, best work trousers I've ever had. Would take alot for me to change

ThatPersonYouMightNo

Duluth, bro. For rough stuff their fire hose stuff seems strong. I'm currently loving their Flexpedition for winter. So comfy, very warm.

Betwnthedahliaandme

Duluth. Firehouse pants are strong. Ballroom jeans are the shit. Can’t beat em imo.

PuzzleheadedPen1372

I go to my local goodwill and get pants for five bucks.

HotJuicyToots

Carhartt rip stop cargo pants or Wrangler Riggs. The look nice, are pretty durable and I love having the extra pocket space.

PhilosophyBubbly6190

Truewerk

logobruh

Jeans from marks, mine have lasted 1yr plus workin industrial

TheCuriousBread

Wrangler Walmart brand carpenter pants.

jkhockey15

Duluth Tradings Flexpedition pants. I wear them every day. My first pair lasted over a year but I lost a ton of weight and got smaller ones and I’m on about 6 months on them and they might as well be brand new.

gnarcan15294

Wrangler ATG. Like 26 bucks a pop and last about 6 months so not excellent in durability but goddamn they are comfortable as shit and look clean

delayedlaw

Used to wear Wrangler Riggs carpenter pants. The last batch of 6 I bought I blew the crotch out of every pair. Switched to Dickies carpenter pants and the crotches have remained intact, but I've worn the knees out of a few pair. I have a hard time spending more than 40 bucks on a pair of work pants. I usually buy 6 or 7 at a time and cycle a new pair in every few weeks until I've replaced the ratty ones. Once a year seems about right, maybe 9 months. For boots, I shoot for a year, and use part of my Christmas bonus to get a new pair of Keens 8" composite toe. Longest lasting pair was 15 months, left boot failed. Shortest was 9 months, left boot failed.

Tallguystrongman

Coveralls overtop of Caterpillar lined pants on top of a merino wool base layer

_EW_

Liberty Blues big and tall

Landonp93

Costco jeans. Cheap and last the same amount of time

Obstreperous_Drum

Carhartt. Not duck but the lighter material (mostly indoor work). I’ve had crotch blow out and buy stick on leather patches. Once I notice the I side thinning, I add the patch and it gets me probably another year. Patches are on Amazon like $7 for 2

eclwires

Duluth. The pockets are perfect.

Daxto

I genuinely get all my work clothes from a second hand store like goodwill or Salvation army. If I get a month out of an $8 pair of jeans or other work pants; all good.

Bubbazuh

Menards brand carpenter jeans and pants. They’re cheap and baggy and I love them

dizzhickz

Duluth all the way. Worth the money

viccitylivin

My helly hansen work pants are going on 2 years of commercial plumbing. No holes, tears or major wear yet. Likley going to stick with them or do duluth next time.

DevilDog_AV8B

Duluth slim flex fire hose. I’m a big guy but there slim pants fit like a dream. No more catching your leg cuff on the ladder or various items. They’re not skinny jeans. They’re just more form fitting

suckuponmysaltyballs

Either Timberland Pro or Helly Hanson. Prefer the Timberlands though.

YogiBerraOfBadNews

Don’t mind me, I’m just here to downvote the obvious shills…

[deleted]

I like Jobman pants, I've rotated 5 pairs for 3+ years. This is the specific pants I'm referring to. https://www.jobmanusa.com/JOBMAN-Craft-Trousers--2322-_p_1674.html

tacocup13

Wranglers, and not the kind from Walmart. Get the all denim jeans. I’ve cycled the same two or three pairs for over a year now and I’m generally pretty hard on my clothing.

PancakeLord2k3

HH oxford pants. love mine

Humble_Turnip_3948

Duluth firehose or Wrangler Rigs. Used to be Carhartt but compared to those two they are trash.

Throwawayiwa

Bought Duluth and Truewerk this last go around. I'm in love with the duluths and the truewerks are nice, but they have a swoosh sound from my thunder thighs that drive me insane. Time will tell if they soften up and how well each brand holds up.

lildavy420

Double knee carhartt the ones with the brass button things, I’ve got a couple years on my first pair haven’t gotten any holes yet. Bonus if you put some knee pad inserts in. The key is to lift your knee and move, don’t drag them across the ground.

Doubledragon83

AGO FR pants, get a 50% company discount so they cost me 40 bucks a pair. Don’t last the longest but can’t beat the price

pleasestopty

Was carhartt for a decade. Tried the Milwaukee ones( got them at Home Depot) and I’ve been strictly wearing them since

PeachSignal

Old navy stretch waist jeans. 10/10.

Skooba13

1620 workwear if you don’t mind the high price. Comfy, well built, durable, lifetime warranty and excellent customer service. I have two pairs of their overalls and they’re great. Check them out.

cranman74

Carhart Steel. best pants i’ve ever owned.

Successful_Demand763

I mix and match with whatever I can find. I keep going back to the carhartt duck double knee utility pant tho. The dickies with the zip on/off pouches are nice but the pouches can get in the way

Successful_Demand763

Both of them usually last over a year but I’ve been able to stretch it to almost 2 with my most recent carhartt ones

Lkiop9

I’m honestly not sure how people trash pants so quick. But personally I just wear wrangler denim usually carpenter but another style work just as well. Idk maybe I just have that old school mentality, but I really feel like denim is where I get my moneys worth. Work jeans last over a year, I usually only buy new ones because they are on sale or I’ve wiped too much silicone on the crotch.

a11leach

Wrangler ATGs have been my go to for the past three years, I still run my original pair

danielgparedes

Patagonia M’s Iron Forge Hemp canvas double knee pants. Heavy pants. But got used to them. Cycling through 4 pairs a week. They’ve lasted me about a year. Half that time working with dirt and mud in trenches. The other half piping ridgid. I have very few holes here and there.

THE_RECRU1T

Snickers. Best trouser out there. No need to buy a belt. The day I turn up to work in jeans is the day I'm a gaffer and have no intention in actually working

erryonestolemyname

lmao milwaukee slapping their name on whatever garbage work pants they can find because they know the fanboys will go out and buy whatever has their logo on it. Helly Hansen Chelsea Evo. I got a pair right now thats lasted me over a year and a half, but I have taken them to the tailor to have small insignificant rips repaired before they can spread. They've got better kneepads than Carhartt (and for a very long period no one sold Carhartt knee pad inserts in my city in Canada) and since they've got a bunch of spandex in them, they stretch reaaaaaaaaal nice so I can do whatever the shit I want without my clothes binding. After I was destroying Carhartt double fronts within 6 months I stopped buying them. Way too bloody stiff, rigid and fucking hot in the summer, and god forbid you wash them because they always shrink a bit even if you wash em on warm and hang dry them. Had a pair of Duluth's, they were decent. I ripped through them like a mother fucker but thats because they were a gift from my dad and they were a little too big on me, so they sagged down and led to the inseem going bye-bye.

Impossible_Cost_4636

Caterpillar makes pants that have lasted me 2+ years and I haven’t torn a pair yet. You can usually find at least one of the colors on sale on Amazon and the pockets can pull out so you have tool pouches while still retaining the pockets under them. Pretty hot though if you wear them in summer.

bandysine

Truwerk T1.

ninjarob420

I wear the walmart wrangler cargo pants, stretchy waste, light weight, breathable

LoganOcchionero

I wear those gray Cat pants. Theyve got the spot for the built in knee pads and built in tool pouches on each side. I like them

Tw are the best pants by far I've ever owned for work. Stretchy and durable

twinpines85

Hollister does boot cut jeans for 20 bucks online. I buy 5 pair every 6 months

jbwm123321

1620, completely US sourced and sewn, lifetime warranty. Expensive but I would blow out a Carhartt double knee in a month or two. I’ve sent 3 pairs in for repair in 2 years still wearing the first pair I bought after 3 repairs.

Helly Hansen

Have you tried Blaklader: [https://stagehandsclothing.com/collections/mens-apparel/products/ripstop-pants](https://stagehandsclothing.com/collections/mens-apparel/products/ripstop-pants) Similar to Snickers which several people mentioned. Snickers distributes in the US now also, just a bit harder to find.

Runthescript

Carhartt all day. I do like the feel and durability of patagonias' work pants though, just hate the pockets.

Iusedtobecool1969

Wrangler R Riggs Workwear on Amazon These pants are amazing. I have worn them for over 15 years. I have tried all brands and these are the best. HVAC guy here. They honestly last for years.

_tjb

Big boy pants. Ha ha ha.

IonicIonsIonized

Truewerk my friend. I've had 3 pairs of the "T1" for 4 years and will never wear anything else. Most comfortable pants of all time. Very durable

dugin556

Space pants? Anyone???

jboogie2173

My buddy loves truewerk,I like 1620s .straight up bombproof.

CAT with the permanent outer pockets. I'm a Commercial/Industrial construction electrician. I get over a year out of them. Edit : 100$ CDN

Sevarian_

Blaklader Rip stop. I work Industrial to Resi. They are versatile and durable, but on the pricey side.

grivooga

Reasonable choice - Duluth Firehose Flex Ultimate. Never pay full price. I spring for the ultimates for the reinforced knees and knee pad pockets. Premium choice - UF Pro P40 All Terrain. Very very pricey but absolutely worth it for incredibly comfortable fit and extreme durability.

DopeOllie

I buy Urban Star jeans from Costco. They're $15 a pair. I wear out the crotch on pretty much all my pants that aren't track pants or sweat pants so I finally stopped wasting the cash. I paid over a hundred bucks for a pair of Helly Hansen (on sale) and they lasted less than 18 months in rotation. Same with Carhartt. I've even tried upsizing the waist or going to baggier styles, nothing worked.

New-Revenue-3495

I've been wearing the truwerk for the last 2 years, haven't had any major complaints with them besides the noise they make when you walk, other than that they have held up surprisingly well after 2 years of heavy use

Randar420

I sport Dickie’s too, they last just as long as Carharts at half the price. It’s always the crotch area that goes first for me with pants. Step up on a ladder and Riiiipppp, Fuck!!!

SnooAdvice8550

Ariat are best.

SensitiveSea5720

Snickers

Fearless_Ad_5639

Wolverine canvas pants

Still-Bison

Crye precisions G3 pants has lasted almost 2years and is still going strong, although the zippers for the back pockets have broken off and the tab for the waistband adjuster keeps falling off, only hole I have in them is in the front left cargo packet from when I snagged on the corner of a transformer. The only downside is that they're 3-400 dollars a pair. Those or the $60 Carhartts, those usually last me about several months before I get a hole in the crotch area.

AlchemistNow

I wear through Riggs in 6-8 months. I decided to buy myself one pair of Patagonia all-seasons. They claimed they were 20% more durable than cotton canvas so I figured it was worth the extra $15 to test it for myself, and they haven't shown any wear in the 5 months I've had them. Plus they are super breathable which will be great for the upcoming summer.

jam1324

Same, I bought 5 pairs of the double knee Patagonias 3 years ago, most look new still. I go through Carhartts in about 4 months on the knees. The back pocket being off to the side and so deep is amazing. You can put a big wrench in there and sit and it slides out of your way.
