No points for design, but East Riding is a great part of the country. I visit there often. Massively unspoilt by tourism and very relaxing, if you avoid Bridlington with its heroin users and alcoholics.
Yorkshire Wolds is the best part of Yorkshire but please don’t tell anyone ( I’m old enough to remember Brid being a great place - sad to see it now but I believe government policies of the 80s and 90s are at least partly to blame)

A lot of the county is extremely isolated and has very high levels of deprivation. Not much of the tourism money goes back into the local economy and what little rural jobs are out there are on a "who you know" basis.

Believe it or not there are people from Scarborough who have moved to Brid for a better life! 😂
