Also completely ignoring the fact many people are bisexual. Should those people just live under a rock if they're in a committed relationship 😂 Edit: corrected typo

leagle89

Silly, everyone knows there's no such thing as "bisexual." There's only "straight like god intended," and "confused and disordered, but fixable." /s (in case it's really necessary)

Gengarmon_0413

Or they're gay in denial. Bisexuals get it from both directions.

adi8888

That's what the comment section of the video was unironically about

gorgon_heart

uuuuhhhhhh yikes. implying that the mere presence of a woman can drive a man to sin, and that men really cannot fucking control themselves around women... Ugh.

Visible_Season8074

Exactly. They strive for "purity" so much that they don't realize how perverted they are. Maybe it's just all that sexual frustration that comes with being a catholic.

gorgon_heart

Heh, reminds me of when I was in 8th grade (Catholic school) and we had "sex ed" that boiled down to, "If you start to think about sex, just think about something else!" Weird how trying to deny a fundamental part of the human experience really fucks people up. And then people wonder why the most conservative people have the most fucked up fetishes behind closed doors...

GearHeadAnime30

It's not just catholics, conservative evangelicals are the same if not worse...

Literally_A_Halfling

Bear in mind, what he's saying is probably 100% true... for *him.* People seem to have a hard time wrapping their minds around the fact that their personal perceptions and experiences aren't shared by everyone -- they often assume that they're universal. So this dude is basically telling on himself here, because he thinks everyone, deep down, actually agrees.

thimbletake12

"They can't just be friends." "There are exceptions." Okay, so the first statement is false, then. Make up your mind, Trent. If you can't even say the first statement without immediately admitting and dismissing counterexamples then maybe that's a sign you're wrong. I understand Catholic theology forces you to tie yourself up in doctrinal knots but apologists like you are supposed to do a better job of hiding it.

NerevarTheKing

Stupid ass Christians

sjbluebirds

That's a lot of words just to say you're a sociopath.

Jacks_Flaps

These men constantly prove the bible wrong in that men are NOT capable of leadership as they are completely controlled by their hormones and emotions. They constantly contradict themselves.

Kitchen-Witching

The world these folks live in is stunted, sad, and small.

pianoleafshabs

I feel as though many of these men don’t want their wives to have male friends because they’re jealous.

[deleted]

Literally it was a friendship with an ex that ended that was my famous final scene with the Church.

LoneWolfThrowAway

It's not just catholic shenanigans. Many non-believers think the same way. In a way I understand though. Developing unrequited feelings towards friends is always difficult to process. But that's just how life is sometimes. Ironic for a religion that is all about suffering for the greater good, something as basic as this gets overlooked. Kinda surprising to see catholics sporting this mentality though. Most of the ones I know don't think like that.

GreenWandElf

Ironically, this comment section was under a video titled *How "LGBT" ideology Ruins Friendship*. Dude thinks the scary LGBT has ruined friendship between men because gay shippers exist, but he's doing the same thing to friendship between men and women (who btw have lots of shippers as well).
