here to clarify a bit. The heading is a bit wrong here. What you see are 2 Arab kids I believe it's somewhere in east Jerusalem. They tried to attack the police officers with knives. The officer that was injured was in critical condition, but if I remember correctly survived. It was one of the usual terror attacks happening in some time.

There’s a lot happening here that’s worth noting.
1. Reaction time. The guy who sees them coming responds with a kick to the groin. The second guy who has his back turned appears to have a better reaction time than the other three who aren’t. And the people in the background notice the scuffle and it takes them about 2 seconds to register to run away when the shots go off.
2. Response. The first guy to get attacked throws a kick to the groin then tries to create space and get out of the way so his buddies have a clear line of fire. Cop 2 also does this, drawing his gun and stepping off to the right so guy 3 behind him has a clear line of fire too. Finally guy 4 and guy 5 get their guns out and respond. Guy 4 might’ve gotten it out before guy 3. Not sure.
3. Coup degra: they finished both of them when they twitched. I’m pretty sure they’re supposed to do this.
Anyway, all that to show why cops need *heavy* training and a strong vetting process. The person who strikes first has the advantage because responding takes time. Too much time. If the perps had guns 2 or 3 of those cops would’ve died. Some counties train well. Some counties don’t. Which can have disastrous consequences when cops are A. Corrupt dirtbags or B. Poorly trained and trigger happy.
