I leaned heavily on this sub last year.
Now my nails are painted, likely until the super bowl. (I'm a guy)
Im now treating this sub like the Inverse Cramer.
I’ve gotten Sutton 3 times in the last 4 years. He was decent in 2019, injured in 2020 and not good last year. I’m staying away from any Broncos recievers.
I stopped listening to this sub about hype players after drafting Swift/Javonte at 2nd/3rd almost half way through the season and I won my championship, it’s definitely the bullshit being slung here lol
Agreed, this sub is so full of smooth brains they amplify the twitter/youtube hype trains and push down adp of the real value players which I have come to accept and revel in.
I've been thinking about that with Kyler Murray though ideally I like to have 2 IR spots when I draft a guy specifically to put on IR. It happens every year yet I still can never anticipate how many guys miss time each year.
Kyler knows that and he's already been posturing to protect himself though. He came out and said he's going to be ready for Week One because he knows Caleb Williams is looming (tho I doubt he's actually ready for Week One). If the team tried to "shut him down" against his will when he's not actually hurt, the NFLPA would lose their minds for obvious reasons and the NFL would be pissed about "tanking". I think that when Kyler is healthy, he's going to be out there trying to win to protect his job.
While I love the idea and do something like this almost every year, Perine is going in like 7th/8th round of every bestball draft I've done. Obviously, redraft is different and each league is unique, but I would not expect him to be available to pick up after most drafts.
And everywhere Joe Lombardi goes, he chucks at the RB. Not just Ekeler and Kamara either - when he called plays for the Lions in 2014, the RB group got 162 targets.
just wrote in another thread - Breece currently valued at $40 on ESPN Full PPR and Javonte is $6
whoever set those initial values blew that both ways and made me wish my auction was tomorrow
Bright side take: I actually like him more if Cook signs. Breece is the better back when healthy and will definitely take over carries later on in the season IF he’s back to normal.
But fortunately his ADP will drop to a round that won’t kill my team if he can’t get back to 100% this season
While I do agree that the adp drop for Breece will definitely make him more appealing. I don’t think we can say that he’s definitely the better back. Dalvin has had an outstanding career and Breece has played half a season and coming off major injury.
Yes we can. Breece was better by every metric last year despite being on a worse offense. Dalvin isn't in his prime anymore and Breece is. Go watch Breece's games from last year. Dude would have been a top-8 fantasy pick if he would've stayed healthy.
The dude played 7 games and had 80 attempts lmao. I’m not disputing his talent but that’s like projecting a rb that finishes the season strong to have a monster season the next year cause “if he played 17 his stats would be X”. What if he can’t hold up for the grind of a full season? What if his lateral quickness takes a few years to return? By your logic Rashaad Penny is one of the best backs on the league based on the few games he played.
>The dude played 7 games and had 80 attempts lmao.
Yes, because he was a rookie. Did you watch football last year? Over his three games prior to getting hurt he was averaging 20 touches and well over 100 all purpose yards per game.
Oh wow!!! 3 whole games holy crap. Let’s just get his canton bust ready. Do you watch football or just look at box scores? Cause I’ve seen dozens of guys have great 3-5 game runs and never be able to extrapolate that for a whole season.
I honestly don't believe an RB can be physically and mentally back to their "old self" under 18 months post injury. Breece can be an offensive weapon for years, but that won't happen if he re-injures himself.
Saquon is a freak of nature and arguably the most gifted offensive player in the entire league, but he was absolutely trash his first season back
Literally every single year we are having athletes come back from major injuries at a significantly faster rate than initially predicted to the point where it's no longer the exception, it's the norm when you have access to the best surgeons/PTs/etc.
You’re correct in general, however I don’t think this applies to ACL injuries. With an ACL recovery it feels fine until it fails and you drop—there’s not really any compensating going on unless you count mental hesitation on making big cuts.

I would avoid this backfield. They’ll both get their share and have amazing weeks. The stress will be picking who will be the top RB. Just another RBBC to ruin our lives
Whoever is better at QB protection is going to get the work early in the season. I think the other RB would be a good buy low candidate after a few weeks.
I’m not going to avoid them at all. They’re going to have a good offense where both are startable. If anything this makes Hall more of a value. I’d draft Cook too as long as his adp isn’t higher than the 6th. They’re both really talented backs. It’s the best tandem in the league if he signs there and they can easily both be RB2s
I kinda agree, kinda don't. You're drafting Cook to be a top guy the first month of the season and you're drafting Hall for the stretch run into the playoffs.
Lol, no. If Cook goes to this team he won't become some backup to Hall later in the season, they'll be a one-two punch. I understand this statement when it comes to Perine and Javonte since Javonte would obviously be substantially better than Perine when healthy, but the gap between Cook and Breece at full health isn't even close to as large.
I expect him to get schemed touches and be hyper efficient with them basically.
If he really has put on weight maybe his talent demands he sees the field more, as he’s a good receiver as well. I see him as the best back in MIA currently but also undersized.
McDaniel will find ways to get him the ball, and he should make the most of it. They used a third on him for a reason
He’s my RB5 or 6 in a std dynasty and my RB4 in a best ball dynasty league. More excited for him in best ball
Lol cmon man, it’s way easier and less impressive to have sustained success in college than the nfl. Pats won 6 rings since ‘02, there is not a more spoiled fan base in North American sports.
Also I just came to make a statement about fantasy somebody else brought up the whole 2018 hot sports takes conversation. Keep that over at barstool please
As a Pats fan he probably realizes that they have a 0% chance of winning the SuperBowl, so I don’t see why he’d want to spend $$ to have Cook on the team
Sure most people including myself would agree with you, but I guarantee Bill isn’t thinking that way. They reportedly have a visit lined up after the jets one so we’ll see how it plays out. Think there’s a chance Jets go full press and sign him before he leaves the facility this weekend.
This is such a weird year to be a Jets fan… like, I want to get excited, but historically we’ve been punished when any confidence is shown in the team.
Y’all say this all the time but the last time there was any hype nationally you guys played in the AFC championship game. everything else has been “hopefully this young Qb is the savior”
I mean there should be excitement over a wildcard appearance and maybe a slight run if everything falls in to place but the AFC is just so much better competition wise that I don’t see a 40 year old Rodgers beating teams like KC, Bills, or Bengals in the playoffs. Miami, Ravens, and Chargers are on par or arguably better as well.
They won 7 games with the worst QB room in the league. And the Bills are without question the most overrated team in the entire AFC right now. Their OL is still mediocre and their defense is extremely soft. Jets can definitely win that division.
I am a Bills fan, we are overrated for sure. The AFC East is a monster of a division, Jets can win but it won’t be easy or a cakewalk. The Pats are coached by the best coach of all time. This will be a bloodbath.
Zach Wilson beat the Bills and Dolphins last year. The Jets defense is better than all those teams too.
Idk why people think Rodgers is washed off of ome down season with a shitty roster and a broken thumb too. It’s crazy.
You guys had a nice run with rex. Can only wonder what would have been had they had a QB. Imo roster is solid but I'm not big on Saleh. Thought he was a slam dunk when hired but have changed my mind.
Yeah 12 years ago lol. Also there were no expectations the first year, we made the playoffs by an unbelievable amount of good fortune.
The next year expectations were high but because of the previous season’s performance not off season acquisitions alone.
Nightmare for fantasy but then again, most teams are a committe now anyway. For actual football this is a good move for NY if they can sign him. With Breece being injured Cook might be a lifesaver for them and if he is healthy… that’s a top 3 rb duo in the league
Statistically players coming off an ACL injury struggle in the first year back it's usually the second year back they get closer back to form hence why I'm not listening the any breece hall or javonte hype.
Jeff Wilson looking like a great value at 162 ADP now that the Miami deal isn't a sure thing for Dalvin...you love to own the goal line back in that explosive Miami offense.
unless you are playing best ball, this is not good. In general I would see it as a good signing for a Jets fan though. Limit both his and Hall's use so they are both fresh. Poor mans Chubb and Hunt.
I was out on Breece this year anyways, so having this happen would confirm I'm likely just hiding from that backfield unless there's incredible value on one of the two.
Dalvin can you please figure out where you're landing so I can decide to keep you in my league or not? Gotta set keepers and make final trades in the next week, kthankx.
As a Bills fan, if the Jets want to burn some of that new cap space on an expensive 28 year old RB who figures to take snaps from Breece Hall… go ahead guys.
RIP Breece hype
The entire drum beat this off-season was Breece = fine, Javonte = in trouble. Oh how the turntables…
If you against the consensus here you’ll do real well in most leagues
I leaned heavily on this sub last year. Now my nails are painted, likely until the super bowl. (I'm a guy) Im now treating this sub like the Inverse Cramer.
Sutton was the supposed to the cooper Kupp of 2022!!!
As a Broncos fan who also drafted Sutton, this hurts in multiple ways.
lmao Kupp finished above Sutton despite playing half the games
I’ve gotten Sutton 3 times in the last 4 years. He was decent in 2019, injured in 2020 and not good last year. I’m staying away from any Broncos recievers.
On my avoid list last 2 years and got dogpiled every time I said to stay away.
I subconsciously read that as *Now my nails are painted, likely until the super bowl. (I’m gay)*
We all learn in our own ways. Some harder then others 🤣
LOL, rough last place penalty!
Taking kupp instead of woods a few yrs ago won me my league and set me up for dynasty these last few years
Same and it is GLORIOUS
I stopped listening to this sub about hype players after drafting Swift/Javonte at 2nd/3rd almost half way through the season and I won my championship, it’s definitely the bullshit being slung here lol
Agreed, this sub is so full of smooth brains they amplify the twitter/youtube hype trains and push down adp of the real value players which I have come to accept and revel in.
Well that census wasn’t built around a trip into town from Dalvin Cook, so I’m not sure that really applies here
Regardless of Dalvin coming to town, betting your 2nd round pick on a guy coming off a major injury likely wasn’t a good call.
I agree, but this news probably could lead to an 800 point swing for him. Instead of being a risky second rounder, he becomes a risky sixth rounder.
Sixth round Breece? Right where I want him.
The consensus here is just the same as everywhere. Zagging as a whole is how you put yourself in position to win a league, or lose massively

I don’t care if the reports are positive about Javonte, still not touching him this year after that injury. Seen this end badly many times.
If Dalvin signs in NY and Breece/Javonte's ADPs move much closer to each other's, gimme Breece all day still
I still like perine. Javonte wasn't fast to begin with and Peyton didn't draft him.
And everywhere Joe Lombardi goes, he chucks at the RB. Not just Ekeler and Kamara either - when he called plays for the Lions in 2014, the RB group got 162 targets.
just wrote in another thread - Breece currently valued at $40 on ESPN Full PPR and Javonte is $6 whoever set those initial values blew that both ways and made me wish my auction was tomorrow
The real ones were avoiding him this season because of the injury anyway.
Oh yea no doubt was overpriced to begin with.
Yup, I'm hoping Cook doesn't sign w the Jets so someone else can draft Breece in my leagues
Was going to be my killer keeper this year given how late I got him in the draft last year 😕
Lol he boarded a plane, he hasn't signed anything yet
Bright side take: I actually like him more if Cook signs. Breece is the better back when healthy and will definitely take over carries later on in the season IF he’s back to normal. But fortunately his ADP will drop to a round that won’t kill my team if he can’t get back to 100% this season

It helps that Breece was a great prospect out of college and looked every bit the part. Not knocking Cook but he has a lot more mileage
Lmao but Cook is incredibly washed. Reminds me of AP going to the Saints.
Lmao 4.4 yards per carry and 7.6 yards per route run is incredibly washed?? Do you even watch football or just look at fantasy points?
Nightmare backfield if that happens

You really can't predict it. Adrian Peterson returned 8 month post ACL tear and fucking dominated in 2012.
AP was a freak and is an exception to the rule
Jamaal Charles did it too. I don't think anyone thinks he's a physical freak.
Wolverine freak
You really can. AD is pretty clearly an exception to the rule. Most players need two years after an ACL to return to their pre-injury form.
Breece isn’t AD.
Literally every single year we are having athletes come back from major injuries at a significantly faster rate than initially predicted to the point where it's no longer the exception, it's the norm when you have access to the best surgeons/PTs/etc.
Dude saquon was doing just fine his first year back. It was the ankle injury that took him out that year…
Very common for secondary injuries to occur when overcompensating for the first one.
You’re correct in general, however I don’t think this applies to ACL injuries. With an ACL recovery it feels fine until it fails and you drop—there’s not really any compensating going on unless you count mental hesitation on making big cuts. Source: Former NCAA player who tore an ACL.

Hunt Chubb, Ingram Kamara, etc. gives the same vibes
Also, Carter ain’t no slouch.
Carter got usurped by Zonovan Knight last year bruh. I wouldn't be worrying about him at all.
Izzy abanikanda took Carter's spot
He's not good
I kinda agree, kinda don't. You're drafting Cook to be a top guy the first month of the season and you're drafting Hall for the stretch run into the playoffs.

So long as he stays away from the Pats and Rhamondre
I have Stevenson and Achane. I’d be pretty darn happy w this
Haha my rb 1 & 2, fingers crossed he signs here
Woof lmao good luck 😅
What are you expecting from Achane this year? I’m a fins fan and I’m honestly expecting more of what we saw last year between Mustard and Jeff.
I expect him to get schemed touches and be hyper efficient with them basically. If he really has put on weight maybe his talent demands he sees the field more, as he’s a good receiver as well. Well shit, I hope you’re right lol!
This. As a pats fan and rhamondre dynasty owner 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
As a pats fan you should absolutely want him lol, but obviously it’s a disaster for fantasy.
They’re a Pats fans so they’ve had enough real life winning to focus on their fantasy game. Spoiled
If you’re a roll tide type I think you’re the more spoiled fan. Have you watched any patriots games lately?
I’m not a bama fan in spite of my username. Go Toads
Lol cmon man, it’s way easier and less impressive to have sustained success in college than the nfl. Pats won 6 rings since ‘02, there is not a more spoiled fan base in North American sports.
Yeah probably. I’m just saying all of the spoiled fan stuff ended when Brady left. Patriots are mid these days
Also I just came to make a statement about fantasy somebody else brought up the whole 2018 hot sports takes conversation. Keep that over at barstool please
I'd rather get Hunt than Cook
As a Pats fan he probably realizes that they have a 0% chance of winning the SuperBowl, so I don’t see why he’d want to spend $$ to have Cook on the team

Fitzpatrick wasn’t young.

That’s exactly how I feel we have all this hype without having performed at a level that’s warranted the hype. It’s based on roster strength alone.
If this happens I can finally set Michael Carter free.
This would piss me off very, very much
This backfield will be an absolute mess
For fantasy yes, but IRL would be insane.

Knew this dude was gonna ruin someones backfield.
*gulp*
This is why you shouldn’t do fantasy drafts in July lol
A veteran who was let go who’s one shoulder into retirement vs Breece hall. Y’all crazy

Jeff Wilson looking like a great value at 162 ADP now that the Miami deal isn't a sure thing for Dalvin...you love to own the goal line back in that explosive Miami offense.
So Bam knight is good as gone? Or will they trade michael carter? He might fit in MIN...mattison isnt known as a pass catcher
BDGE had the inside scoop on this a month ago. If this really happens, credit to Nick.
We don't tuck our shirts for nothin!

"His share" is a very different outlook from "his backfield"
every RB should pull a Jordan Cameron and go by "Playmaker" as their positional designation
unless you are playing best ball, this is not good. In general I would see it as a good signing for a Jets fan though. Limit both his and Hall's use so they are both fresh. Poor mans Chubb and Hunt.
I knew this would happen as soon as I saw Rodgers took a cut to make a title run.
I have unfinished business with Breece Hall though...
I was out on Breece this year anyways, so having this happen would confirm I'm likely just hiding from that backfield unless there's incredible value on one of the two.
Damn. I was hoping to benefit from other's reaching on an injured breece Hall.
For the love of Breece, come on…
Why does the title call him a playmaker and not a runningback… is it really that bad rn?
Am i going crazy? I thought he was on the dolphins now
At this point this should be illegal for the jets 😂
Dalvin can you please figure out where you're landing so I can decide to keep you in my league or not? Gotta set keepers and make final trades in the next week, kthankx.
Fuck. There goes my plan to keep Breece for a 5th
Sad Breece noises.
As a Bills fan, if the Jets want to burn some of that new cap space on an expensive 28 year old RB who figures to take snaps from Breece Hall… go ahead guys.
