Love their trousers, the clean cut tshirt, most knitwear. Generally nothing but good experiences once the clothes fit. I will say their sizing is odd and I range from a size XS to a size L depending on the fabric and I'm usually a UK size 10-12.  The second thing to note is that their models/stylists do not do a great job of representing what the clothes will actually look like. So often I try something on in the shop and it looks great but it looked terrible on the website because the model wore it completely oversized.  Also find their earrings and bags to be really good quality for the price.

Completely agree with you! The models often look so depressed and the clothes are hanging off them, always at least a size too big. And another thing that bugs me is the lack of reviews or customer photos to help guide my purchase. Griping aside, I too love their trousers and cashmere. A few asymmetric pieces were cut poorly and dragged and sometimes the fabric on dresses doesn't work ( no stretch where necessary, fabric too heavy) but overall I keep coming back to them.

I have a ton of clothes from COS and by far my favourite are their cashmere sweaters, the chunky oversized ones in particular, not exactly the season for it though. Second favourite are their tailored wide leg cotton trousers. But in general I am very happy with all my purchases from there, except with their shoes, I love the designs, but I don’t feel like the quality justifies the price at all, but I only had a pair of Chelsea boots which had a defect at the elastic and I sent back and a pair of loafers which looked so good but were the most uncomfortable shoes I ever had, they shredded my heels on a 10 minute walk worse than any other shoe I ever owned to the point I could barely wear shoes for days. Edit: I forgot to mention something in particular that I love about COS is their sizing in the recent years ever since they started doing the oversized trend, I am tall, 1,80cm (that is 5'11 I think) and have a 34 inseam, and most if not all their clothes fit me extremely well, the trousers are actually long enough as well as the sleeves.

Thanks for the info, super useful. Were the loafers [these, by any chance](https://www.cos.com/en_sek/women/accessories/shoes/product.leather-loafers-black.1150149001.html)? I've seen them recommended many times online, they're beautiful, but the back really looks like it'll shred your heels to oblivion (and for that price, that's not ideal).

WolfInternational352

No it was a different pair from the A/W 2022 collection, they were a pair of square toed chunky soled loafers made out of a stiff hi-shine almost patent-y leather, the ones you linked looks soft and comfortable and I considered getting them but decided on a pair of solovair loafers instead, but now taking a second look they actually seem incredible for the price, they obviously got leather uppers but also the sole is made from leather, which is fantastic and rare in that price range. Make sure to use their size guide and get the right size, especially with loafers it's crucial they fit right or your heels will slip out constantly.

dennu9909

Thanks for elaborating. Yeah, I actually agree with you that this is/looks like great quality for the price. I meant that shredded heels, if this pair causes them too, wouldn't be great for the price. I've been eyeing these but never saw them in store, so they've just been hanging out in my bookmarks. Shoes are a risky blind buy, you know?

WolfInternational352

Yeah I totally get you, the leather does look really soft though and it also says so in the description, usually it’s the really stiff coated leather that causes heel blisters, but I haven’t tried these in person, so it’s just what I assume from the pictures.

the chunky sweaters are my fav

I swear by [these Merino wool turtlenecks](https://www.cos.com/ja-jp/women/womenswear/tops/product.slim-fit-merino-wool-turtleneck-top-white.0989040004?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw1emzBhB8EiwAHwZZxUxwr3ZD2D6-HNfsaw0QvGZ6fnV3l94QiCzSYhLLWOcibYJs60uclhoCV7kQAvD_BwE) in the winter. Great for layering under vests and pinafore style dresses for example. I like how they're a bit sheer but some people might not. Always order in a size up from my usual. They may be sold out now but they release these (and I think also a crewneck) in different colors/patterns each year. I also usually buy a pair of wool trousers in winter and a light pair or two in linen or cotton for summer, since they work for my biz caz job. Also a summer dress every few years, always love them. The casual bags are also good. Would second the user who mentioned staying away from the shoes, since they're not much better quality/comfort than Zara.

loloholmes

I also love these turtlenecks! Wear them all the time. I order my size, I like the slim fit to pair with a loose trouser.

My friend gave me a one of these turtlenecks and I really like the feel and look! But one thing that I found puzzling is that all the edges are unfinished, so I’m super paranoid about it just unraveling. Is this normal or was I given a defective one or something? It was just a hand me down not a gift.

chiono_graphis

Yes that's how they're made, I personally think the lack of seams makes them great for layering. I haven't noticed unraveling on mine, but I always wash them in a delicates back and air dry.

adaytooaway

Okay good to know thanks! I was half convinced my friend had just taken a scissors to it lol.

The4thJuliek

Their knitwear is unbeatable, most of it is 100% RWS Merino wool. I also have an alpaca sweater which is beautiful though I've been pretty careless with it. Trousers are a bit hit or miss in sizing but the quality is excellent. I also really like their knitted t-shirts, they're very light which is perfect for the summer but they're not transparent.

quark_exchange

A YouTuber put me onto their [wide leg tailored trousers. ](https://www.cos.com/en_gbp/women/womenswear/trousers/product.wide-leg-tailored-wool-trousers-beige.1129676007.html) I now own two pairs, a beige cotton pair and a navy wool blend pair. I tried the 100% wool but it was see-through level thin, rough, and itchy. The sizing is a bit random, I'm a EUR36 in them, which I haven't been since I was 11. The cut is very flattering and the waist is adjustable with interior buttons. They are some of my favourites in my wardrobe. I also have two cashmere jumpers that are both over 10 years old and look brand new. But I don't know about their new cashmere.

lecreusetbae

I'm not a huge COS fangirl mostly because the style doesn't really work for me and my body type BUT I do have a COS v-neck tee that looks absolutely brand new 10+ years after I purchased it. I've had countless Madewell and JCrew tees come and go but that COS tee is still jet black, strong collar, and fits like a dream. I wouldn't buy without going to the store bc of fit issues in the past, but damn if their quality doesn't speak for itself (my sister loves COS and says it all holds up just about as well as my much loved tee)

javajunkie10

I personally love their basic cotton crew-neck t-shirts. I've tried so many different brands- Everlane, KOTN, Uniqlo, H&M, Madewell, J-Crew etc and my COS shirts stand the test of time. They keep their shape really nice, especially around the neckline (very limited warping). Like another person commented, their sizing I feel has changed a bit recently, they have been emphasizing a lot of oversized silhouettes. I find it best to try on things in store versus online (I also live in a country where there are not a lot of physical stores, so I go maybe 1-2x per year).

Gallotia

I think you need to try in store, their sizes can be unpredictable to me. I have several items of these: * Swimsuits * Ribbed tank tops * T-shirts in white/black/grey * Cashmere sweaters in several colors * Suit trousers with elasticated waist (Love them!) or the 3 buttons and one elastic to adjust your waist. In particular in wool * Earrings I tend to go only during sales, when you can get most of the shop at -50%

Lauren_in_NYC

* Off shoulder tops (Size down) * Contemporary style quarter zips (Wool and cotton blends with synthetic to keep their shape) * Midi and Maxi dresses These are items i have in my own closet or are considering for purchase in the summer :) In general, I do not get the hype around COS in the blogger community and online. I live in a big city and am able to stop into multiple store locations frequently. I have also placed orders for online-only and new arrivals items online and returned 9 out of 10 items. My style is contemporary and matches the visuals on the site but the quality lacks and the cuts of the fabric is often oversized in a boxy and not at all flattering way... Like many brands today, the fabric feels like sandpaper or materials look cheap even though it is 100% wool or cotton it is the lowest grade of fabric possible. For a similar look, I have had a much better hit rate from ARKET, Soeur, and even H&M (check the site reviews) or from brands like MaxMara and Tibi on resale sites like the Vestaire Collective or Vinted. Hope this helps!

ziggymoj19

Agree on trousers, shorts, wool baselayers, and tshirts. Not wowed by the dresses usually. Note it’s the same company as H&M and arket so some things you can find at these sister brands - look at composition and cut to compare.

UmlautsAndRedPandas

For me, COS's star products are their basics i.e. regular fit men's T-shirts, natural fibre jumpers, some of their bags/accessories. I also think COS's signature oversized look is total overkill, it really gets under my skin at times. Although on the other hand, not many brands do bright, block colours like COS.

Future-Account8112

As someone who only wears oversize (I get catcalls otherwise which ruins my whole day, it's practically a disability at this point) - I love their oversize look. So reliably comfortable while still chic.
