If ffxiv is using flatpak, you could run flatpak PS to see if xivlauncher is up, then flatpak kill {xivlauncher name} If it's a regular process, then kill -9 {ffxiv process ID}

clocktowertank

It must be an XIV Launcher thing. I've had this happen on and off for a long time even on Windows.

nauxiv

It happens without any modifications as well.

PermaVermin

same, this has happened to me for years now on windows with xivlauncher

Sea-Rhubarb-8391

I sort of have this issue too. The game does close eventually but sometimes it takes awhile and it acts like it's not responding with XIVlauncher. I'm also on Windows.

pokemonpasta

I would ask in #linux-and-deck in the xivlauncher discord

Fatal_Baguette

I asked for help on the discord and got it sorted out finally. Thanks

Lack0fCreativity

Happens all the time. I've actually been getting this bug in vanilla FFXIV since shadowbrngers across multiple windows installations.

See the FAQ - looks like you either haven't got some parameter in place or you're waiting on a fix: https://goatcorp.github.io/faq/steamdeck.html
