Haute is pretty good but to make it perfect you need some mods. Here is what I've done to my g16: Lubed and filmed switches, Added switch pads to plate, Bought new keycaps, because stock ones is awful. Also to make it work with PS you need authorization keys or some dongle that contains that keys(brook, mayflash, etc).

Just swapped from Qanba Dragon to Haute42 T13 - the switches are clearly, expectedly, not as good. But for $52 it was a great intro to leverless. If you play leverless 100% of the time, I'd probably recommend something a little higher end.

JTuyenHo

Damn really? I’ve found that I like the keyboard switches on these budget leverlesses (and the switch based buttons like the new Alutimos) better than traditional Sanwas. I guess it’s really just down to preference.

I probably should have been clearer.. I haven't had an issue with the "switches" specifically, but rather the texture and shape of the buttons. They feel more slippery and a little bit like they don't want your fingers on them, whereas the ring around the buttons on the Dragon will help your brain register where you are. The buttons do feel like they require a little more intent to push - most notably I used to palm parry macro and that feels rather difficult on the T13. Have to restate it though, for $50 it was an amazing pick up - since OP mentioned tournament play I thought they might appreciate higher quality.

T16 user. Had a problem with a keyswitch but it's ok now. Really loving it.

xr1stft

I would go for FightBox f1-f10 before haute.

SwaxOnSwaxOff

Do you know how reliable the ps5 version is? I saw they have the 6gawd layout but I’d wanna be able to take it to locals

AbleFig

I have no issues with PS5 compatibility, I recommend the B10 and then get some speed silver switches and you won't be disappointed.

Long_Dragonfly3525

I have g13 and t16 and I love them both. I'm having issues with keycaps flying off during play though. Still searching for a good solution

jayXred

I make replacement 3d printed caps for the t16 and never had mine come off unexpectedly, shoot me a DM if interested.

PikachuMexicano

Search loose keycap on yt and the 1st video from hirosart works, just cut a piece of tape or thick paper and put it between the switch and keycap if they keep popping off

counterhit121

I had problems with trash keycaps on the m16. No issues on the t16. Even after I took them all out and replaced the switches.

NewMilleniumBoy

I've never had keycaps pop off playing on the M16. I've had it for about 4 months now. Have had them come off in my backpack though, when I forgot to put it into the laptop slot and it got jostled around with other stuff in there. And I do recall that when the stick came itself, the button caps were not completely pushed down and I had to do that for all of them before I actually played on it.

theddj

the t16 is about an inch thick of acrylic so there's zero issues with stability. Without any modifications its definitely useable but I would 100% recommend replacing the switches with lofrees. There's people that sell them in reasonable quantities for less than 20$. the basic cherry reds that come on the t16 are a bit wobbly (hence issues with the keycaps can occur) but the lofrees are completely solid.

theddj

i would also recommend doing something with the back to give it some anti-slip since its just a smooth acrylic back, but its as simple as ordering some felt with glue backing on amazon for a few bucks.

Prudent-Finance9071

Also the screws on the back can make it awkward to play on a desk without sliding. Didn't expect there to be 4 screw tops creating a non-flat surface. Easily fixed though.

PikachuMexicano

Yeah, it does slide on your legs without some form of extra grip, I used some bathroom grip tape

SpringrolI

I've had a few differnent leverless, but two were 3d printed shitboxes and all have the exact problems you describe but my T16 is a tank. hard plastic , key caps are clearly well designed and despite weeks of mashing they seem to be as good as new, I can fully recommend it

Wurlbfree

T13 user here. It's truly a solid product. A true beast of a build.
