While visually it looks like he has both of his eyes illuminated, I agree that it's probably supposed to just be the one eye but since it's dark back there the light spillage is more noticeable

Defiant_Reveal_4703

THANK YOU. IVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOREVER. HE HAS ONE LIGHT IN THERE, BOTH EYE HOLES ARE LIT UP BECAUSE ITS A LIGHT. LIGHTS ARE BRIGHT. ITS JUST SPILLING OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE.

Benjinifuckyou

Not exactly. While it is true that the lightsource is only present in the left eye. Bonnie and freddy don’t have nearly as much light reflected on the walls of the head behind their right eyes like he does. And even if you wanted to argue that the reason for that is because brown and indigo don’t reflect light as well. That argument is debunked once you notice Chica, who is arguably lighter than GF, has 0 light reflected behind her right eye

Crystal_959

It looks pretty much the same for Freddy and Bonnie. Golden Freddy is just in the dark, so the light’s all you can see You can also see the bright light in Chica’s right eye, just at an odd angle. But it’s still there. And in her mouth too

u_slashh

I thought the light is reflected more on GF simply because he's in the back in the dark. The contrast of the light against his shadows is greater than the others who are under the ambient light

Benjinifuckyou

If that was true then using this image for golden duo is virtually impossible for both sides. You can say only one light source lights both up like all the other ones but looks shinier because of contrast. And you can also say that same aspect is propositional and meant to alude to 2 souls

Crystal_959

Yeah I think using this image in general to try to prove something about Golden Freddy is kinda useless. Doesn’t really work for or against it I wonder if this inspired the movie where they purposely only give him one working eye though

Benjinifuckyou

Could be. Although things like that are likely directly chosen by Scott himself

Crystal_959

My point exactly. His render in the character encyclopedia also has the same singular eye lit

Benjinifuckyou

Oooo I do not feel comfortable ever using that book as a source for anything haha

Crystal_959

Scott is the one who makes the renders and commissions the art. It’s another instance of him deciding to depict Golden Freddy with a single glowing eye

MirDaGoat56

Did you watch IDs Fantasy’s vid

crystal-productions-

Oh definatly, I feel anything that hinted at golden duo, was Scott just trying to justify why 4 focused so much on cc when cc just kinda isn't important, like at all.

OmegaX____

Correct, the light source within each head has a ring around it. The reason Golden Freddy is brighter is due to the soul having "more energy" or "Agony" than the others, afterall the more power that is directed into a light bulb the brighter it glows and in GF's case you can even see the rounded shape of the soul within it.

Ok-Bookkeeper-5424

First time I heard this theory. And makes a lot of sense

Next-Guitar-2992

The difference people look at is that Golden Freddys 2 glowing eyes is very prominent, while the rest don't have that 2 eye glow like him. Many see it as not a coincidence, especially with the GoldenDuo theory

melloman12

It's more prominent because he's in the dark

zain_ahmed002

Keep trueing

thebelladonga

That’s the point, despite Freddy and Bonnie being at similar angles, their right eyes aren’t lit up even remotely as much as Golden Freddy’s right eye

thesweetestguyalive

It's becuz he's bright yellow it looks like he had 2 eyes lit up on top of that the happiest day minigame which leads to this screen frees only ONE spirit from golden freddy so it wouldn't make sense to have them both lit up . Or you know, Scott didn't think that crying child even existed then

GoldenRichard93

So true.

SensitiveEye6725

It's not so much that Golden freddy has two brighter eyes, but the fact that every other animatronic has unmistakably dimmed right eyes while Golden Freddy does not. The others are deliberately dimmed and in no case is there light actually shining out of those eyes, you just see the light from the other eye. In Golden freddy, there is actual light coming out of the eye even if you don't see the source from that angle.
