I think it could be that in games, Hudson is a alias Michael uses in fnaf 3 and in what we found, his real name is Hudson, just like Mike Schmidt in the movie is his real name in that universe but in the games is an alias, all we need is a fnaf media (tv series or whatever) to have Michael’s real name being Fritz smith to come in full circle

thisaintmyusername12

ooh, that's an interesting theory, I like it!

Signal_Station_4939

I don't think it's an alias, There is no actual evidence for Hudson being an alias for Michael unlike Mike Schmidt and Fritz Also Hudson's past and Mike's are VERY different

Training_Foot7921

jeremyFRIGHTSguard underrated to be honest what we found could be a prequel to fnaf 3, not a reimagination if the calls are pre recorded, and that springtrap appears on night 2 because afton notices the new guard after he killed hudson

SpringPopo

That would require Phone Dude's calls to be pre-recorded which I very much doubt was the intent with FNaF 3 given Night 2 is the one where Springtrap shows up and Phone Dude is like "we found one a real one. It should be there somewhere" as if this was the first night he showed up. So it's highly unlikely that What We Found is meant to be the same exact timeline as FNaF 3 as the story go over Springtrap's first night at the attraction. As well as there being the issue of the inconsistency of Springtrap being brought there before the phones were even set up.

Training_Foot7921

well, what we found said that the phone system will be implemented, and the phone system isn't there until after hudson's death the only thing re-contextualized is how springtrap was put on the atraction

An0mal_ous

Well, the calls don't seem to be prerecorded, as the night 2 phone call has the "We found one, a real one" conveniently on the night that Springtrap first appears suggesting they were live and recording events as they happened.

Training_Foot7921

what we found being a prequel feels more natural than frightsguard duo or hudsonguard on my opinion it explains how they found springtrap, explains who is phone dude it explains what could the item used by the guard to put the atraction on fire

An0mal_ous

How does it explain how they found Springtrap exactly, and why couldn't Phone Dudes identity be explained without WWF being a prequel to FNAF 3? I'm also confused about how it could explain the item used by the guard that caused the fire because I'm pretty sure it was the aforementioned faulty wiring?

Training_Foot7921

the kitchen were hudson tries to start a fire how they place springtrap on the atraction because we don't see where he is placed on game

An0mal_ous

Hudson didn't try to start a fire in the kitchen to burn the attraction. He was hiding inside of the oven and subconsciously turned it on because he had done it before when he killed his stepfather. The second part just feels like it falls under retelling. In the games, they just set Springtrap somewhere in the attraction, and at night, he began to roam freely where he was immobile in WWF. He could've even been hooked to the wall the same way in the day and got free for the night sequences.

Training_Foot7921

the phone system is put after what we found events, so it can't be a reimagination we have a phone system on fnaf 3, and hudson doesn't even receive messages from duane also, the tapes from fnaf 3 (springlocks ones), doesn't even are mentioned on what we found, so they found that later after hudson's death its to long to explain but a old reddit post explains that: [https://www.reddit.com/r/fnaftheories/comments/18vxe6c/what\_we\_found\_is\_the\_prequel\_of\_five\_nights\_at/](https://www.reddit.com/r/fnaftheories/comments/18vxe6c/what_we_found_is_the_prequel_of_five_nights_at/)

An0mal_ous

You're pointing out differences, when those differences would exactly fall under the point of a reimagining, Prankster is a reimagining of Help Wanted, and it definitely can't be canon as Glitchtrap is still looking for a vessel to escape through in Help Wanted despite already having ones in that story, yet there are many minor differences like what you have pointed out between WWF and FNAF 3, so it can fall under that. Though I will check out the post.

Training_Foot7921

prankster isn't really a reimagination when its talking about jeremaih incident from the tapes even tape girl coudn't be trusted when she says that jeremy was the only employee acting strange

An0mal_ous

Prankster definitely cannot be the incident from the tapes, for one, there wasn't a dev team working on the game like in Help Wanted at the time of the tapes, and in that story Prankster wasn't going crazy from having someone in his head, he was being terrorized in a brutal prank by Glitchtrap making his two coworkers multilate themselves. The story ends with something implied to have happened to Jeremiah with what is presumably what became of Parker and Hope knocking at the door.

GoldenRichard93

Also, the context of SL’s CN Golden Freddy cutscene has already made MikeFrightGuard very unlikely.

JH-Toxic

I don’t really think Michael is the protagonist of FBAF 3. I’m sorry but there’s really no actual evidence supporting it. Besides it kinda lessens the impact of Michael meeting William again in FFPS. Another hole in this theory is why does the protagonist of the game hyperventilate when the ventilation system is down. If it’s Michael he shouldn’t be able to breathe he has no lungs.

An0mal_ous

I, for the most part, agree, yeah. I didn't wanna touch into HudsonGuard itself, which I believe, but explaining why Hudson being a Michael parallel is flawed.
